Kent finally did the resonator delete on his 2016 Shelby GT350! The Shelby GT350R comes from the factory without this resonator, leading to a louder and raspier exhaust. This simple modification really amplified the sound of that 5.2L flat plane crank Voodoo V8, it sounds so much better now! Kent also talked about some serous warranty work that he had done to the car, but he still absolutely loves the car!

I bought a 2018 brand new. 1,800 miles later and the motor bricked. Threw a rod on the highway and my wheels locked up. I ended up getting a 2019 motor and argued my way into a 5 year 75,000 mile premiumcare warranty. 11,000 miles later and its' been bulletproof. Would do it over again if I had to.
Cars Uncovered. That’s scary man. I have a 2018. Do you think it was low on oil when this occurred?
Update: At 34,000 miles and not a single motor issue. Get a 2019 or up if you are shopping.

Great video !! So it sounds like you just had straights pipes installed, no aftermarket x-pipe correct ?
The reason the 350R sounds louder from inside is because the "R" doesn't have a back seat and all the insulation that the regular 350 has. So even if you delete the resonators it still won't quite have the sound of the "R".

Nail on the head about the service department and sales. The sales and service department usually do not get along. I was trying to order my GT350 from a dealer while I had my 14’ 5.0 in to replace the headlights that no longer worked and they fucked them up and tried to screw me. And then scratched my door through the paint. Needless to say, I ordered my GT350 from another dealer the next day
It's about time! Reminder the drive on mines road? Kent said my R convinced him to take off his resonator. Should have compared our cars. Sadly, it's on the market to be sold.

You had your AC fixed 3 times? What was the issue and resolve? Mine is having issues too. I have a 2016 as well
PFFT. Kent and I are on our 6th engine between us but we still love our fords. Hopefully my craptor doesnt blow up either.

I know of 3 other GT350s that were returned for lemon law and another that had it’s A/C repaired twice.
