X pipe! I'm from the X generation, too! 🙂 Once you're down the road a ways or you pass some slow poke on the freeway, is when you get the most from the x pipe. The best!
H pipe seems to kill some of the rasp that the X pipe creates so in my opinion, that's a win. The GT350 is high pitched enough to start; I don't find the X pipe a positive addition.
H pipe on a gt350 is a sin. The engine as a flat plane crank so it revs high, a x pipe is not only better in term of performance for the motor set up but it sounds better imo. It sounds like the car is pissed off
X pipe for me as it not only sounds good at idle, but just seems to let the exhaust breathe at higher rpms. I have a 19 GT and with X pipe and a CAI it not just sounds good, but feels good on the throttle response. Obviously between a GT and GT 350 two different motor set ups, flat plane vs. cross plane but both are from the same platform.
Great video Steeda as always! My question is around installation - who does this - a normal muffler shop or more of a mod shop? All of these mods look awesome but for me it’s where do I take my car to have it done right and professionally.
Listen closely to the “flybys” X-Pipe sounds a little raspy. Yet the H-Pipe has a cackle to it when driving by. I prefer either stock or X-Pipe. Great Video!
Also placement of the H or X has a major factor in sound as well. And muffler placement. You can not beat the sound of a new edge 4v with cat backs and H pipe right before the axle. Literally the cleanest sound ever!
A resonator's purpose is to tune out certain frequencies in the exhaust. Typically, automakers will utilize these on the OE level to meet certain regulations, whether it's to tune out drone or other unwanted frequencies. It's a popular modification for many Mustang owners because it allows for a bit more volume at a great price! And when it comes to X vs H, you can tweak the tone a bit depending on which you choose. Hope this helps answer your question! -Chris
I'm a fan of the X. Which is why I installed it in my car. Plus an added benefit of the X that no one talks about is if by some chance you run over something and one side becomes a little more restricted it doesn't matter since both sides meet in the middle and exhaust through the pipe with the least amount of restriction. Am I talking gibberish? Maybe, but that's my reasoning. Lol
H-Pipe sounds great, but my X-Pipe resonator delete is staying on mine. I love my pissed off Chewbacca exhaust. It is one of my favorite things on my 350.
Thats the X I have on my GT350. Sounds fantastic. Well worth the upgrade. Just wasn't a fan the H's. I found the X pipe to give more of the snaps crackles and pops... The H just sounds too much like an import note than an American Muscle note.
H-Pipe for me. Guess I'm a little old school. X-Pipe sounds good too, just a little too raspy
X pipe has more of a 5.0 sound
Me to. I love H-pipe. I am an old school fan.
I'm with the Resonator delete X-pipe it sounds more exotic.
Call me crazy but stock sounds good to me, I wouldn’t spend the money to change it.
2 years later but came here looking to change my exhaust but can’t find myself to do it
I agree. I think it sounds better stock. It’s raspy and loses some of that flat plane goodness. I don’t think I’ll do it to mine.

There’s a video I saw that the X pipes actually increase HP more than the H pipe does

You can use both and achieve both goals
X pipe for me as it not only sounds good at idle, but just seems to let the exhaust breathe at higher rpms. They both sound great!
H Pipe all day! Especially with some flow super 44s. The decel sound sounds like a thunderstorm rolling in
I think the X pipe is probably better for this motor, but in general I prefer the H pipe. Can’t go wrong either way in my humble opinion.
I ordered the H-pipe for my gt350. It should be delivered tomorrow. I can't wait.
X- pipe!
Oh and add long tubes headers
X-Pipe for me.
H-pipe 🔥💪👑

Hi Mark,
A lot of the time, exhaust shops should be able to do these mods pretty easily.
The resonator delete H-pipe sounds slightly better, takes away some of the raspiness of the stock mid-pipe while adding a little more volume.
X pipe sounds sweet on 350. Which I’ve and trying to figure which one to get
I love the sound of the X pipe brilliant show thank you very much from
Sydney Australia

I noticed you didn't take off as aggressively with the H pipe. Didn't get to hear the high rpm sound.
The h pipe sounds amazing
Thanks for taking the time to make this vid
My brother has a GT350.
This is the perfect video for him.
X-Pipe all day long!
X-pipe
I went with the Borla S-Type axel back, X-Pipe, MAK race pipes with Thunderbolt 400CEL high flow cats welded to them and it sounds f*cking awesome!
What’s the purpose of the resonator ?

Which does a better job exhaust scavenging? The X or the H for a GT350?
Go for the x pipe! I got one on mine. But since I like a lower tone, put some RTR Magnaflows. Great combo!
H-Pipe ftw!
H pipe with long tube headers all the way, it sounds beefier at low end, at high rpms its gonna sound exotic regardless.
Normally on a Coyote I'd say H pipe all day. Voodoo however, X.
Ion Hate H-Pipes I Just Don’t Like Em. Too Low. I Like X-Pipes Cause It’s Loud And Raspy. It Sounds Nice At Idle And At Higher Rpm’s.
I have an x pipe on my ‘18 GT PP1 and i LOVE it but WOWWWW i would go H pipe on the GT350!!
X-PIPE FTW
I'm a fan of the X. Which is why I installed it in my car. H pipe sounds like it’s muffling the exhaust compared to the X pipe
H-Pipe sounds great, but my X-Pipe resonator delete is staying on mine. I love my pissed off Chewbacca exhaust. It is one of my favorite things on my 350.
Naw h-pipe. Is sound light a true muscle car
Does anyone know if the h-pipe is 2 3/4 inches or 3 inches the whole length?
Thats the X I have on my GT350. Sounds fantastic. Well worth the upgrade. Just wasn't a fan the H's. I found the X pipe to give more of the snaps crackles and pops... The H just sounds too much like an import note than an American Muscle note.
The X pipe sounds a bit similar to an E9x M3 but the H-Pipe sounds like an old GT350 in some ways so youre very wrong there
@@QKvox I disagree with you. The X sounds nothing like a E9x m3.
I think it sounds better stock in sport mode
Why did you floor it with the X pipe but not the others lmao
H-Pipe ALL THE WAY!
X-pipe so it will sound just like a GT350R
X-Pipe no resonators
Straight back to Borla Attacks, plus long tube
Borla headers
I'll be absolutely destroyed for this, but I perfer the sound of the coyote 5.0 with a H pipe. 😅😅
I prefer a 4.6 32 value with h pipe
Have a 2016 coyote with Ford Performance by Borla and an H pipe...no complaints.
XPIPE 100%
Stock is already tricked out.. Change is not always good.
How about just straight pipe! That's what I did and sounds 100x better than these
Stock
