fishing been slow for anyone else? ive been skunked the past week
Yes sir! Super slow this year.
@@GetReelBassFishingappreciate the response man…. The fishing expert himself haha. Saw u had a few in these vids was just curious if its much slower this year for u too!! Glad (and not glad) to hear LOL. Lets hope it picks up the next week or two!!!
I’ll pray with you brother ☝🏽
Expect to get worst. More biden people coming nyc and maje all fish extinct
Buncha nice blues in LBI. Not a lot of bass though.
How do you find good fishing spots?
Everyone should take note at when he got hit at 1:18 … when you take your hand off to scratch your head, fix your clothing etc. you pause the retrieve and SO many times fish hit on the pause.
So very true!
Hey man do you think you can make a video on what lures to throw for striped bass during this time of year, as in what each lure does and what time of day to throw it and what color? I’d appreciate the help cause I’m brand new to it and it’d help guys like me especially since you’re my favorite fishing RUclipsr!
I saw brian dropping a duce this morning before hitting the bay. I caught some skinny ones too a couple of hours ago. Lots of sub 30 inch blues back there this morning.
Awesome vid as always. Question for you...with sp minnows do you replace the trebles with a single hook? If so could you put amazon link to those hooks in reply comments. The treble hooks kill me.
Most of the time, I do not. If I do, it’ll be a mustad siwash 4/0-5/0 amzn.to/3yDxmPh
Or VMC siwash 5/0-6/0 amzn.to/3VjQtqE
Come on man.. we all know that Hampton spot lulz
Yo Crazy Al, Imma gonna take you to one of my spots off Roosevelt Ave one these days, all the fishing and foof you can handle

Another Long Island fishing video, another private permit only town beach
That first hook set was 🔥🔥
Sure was!!
Are you wearing deck style boots over stocking foot waders?
Yup!
@@GetReelBassFishing how are they? seems like they would fill with water and not drain and be really heavy
Nice action on the rod what blank you chose
Re bluefish blitzes: Still using 6 inch black steel leader with a Hopkins (remember them?), no bite offs.
Hopkins have been the most productive lure this season for me. They're completely underrated. They can be worked in all water columns.
30lbs?
Drop your phone. That's what you get for lying about a 30lb Bluefish! Still Luv Yaa!
Lol 😂
Ah yes, the Bluefish or Pomatomus Saltatrix or as I and many refer to them as "the yellow eyed devils". Truly, the hardest fighting fish any angler can lay into and the true test of your equipment to say nothing of your arm strength. One more thing, please don't smooch bluefish. As you well know, Bluefish are insanely quick, and your video carrier may not go so well without any lips!
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Another great video. What type of wading boots are you wearing? They look so comfortable.
Thank you! They’re actually just regular old deck boots. They’re my old deck boots that dried out and cracked. So now I use them for back bay fishing.
Always good videos.🤘hoping one day I run into you on the surf or my brother in laws parking lot 😂
Haha I’m sure that’ll happen this year 😂
I dropped my phone in the ocean fishing this morning. Lol so far still kicking . 😅
Haha nice man. Mine is too.
Hell yeah brotha! Hyped for my first time out this weekend!
Good luck man!!
Good stuff!!! Love that fish the gub gub
Haha yeah buddy!
Nice fish. Caught a few blues myself this weekend. Think they might be thin because they are feeding on small bait. Haven’t seen bunker yet
I feel that too. I haven’t visibly seen any bunker yet either. Which is a little weird…
@@GetReelBassFishing I actually kept one for the table. Never have before…pray for me brother I think I’m going to need it!
When’s momma gonna be on again?
Hopefully Soon. Going to try to get her out this week before baby #2 makes an appearance!
Getting out to mtk this week can’t wait
I Just got back from montauk!!
@@GetReelBassFishing love it. Hoping to break a pretty good skunk. Heard the bite has been weird this year so I’m not gonna blame myself yet lmao
My man, the bite has been SO Weird. Idk where all the fish are 😂
d9id you just say that bluefish was 30 pounds? hoping that's a joke, bud. 30 pounds is an exceptionally rare bluefish. the world record isn't much less than 30 lbs. a massive bluefish is 15 lbs. i've never heard of one being caught from shore over 20 lbs. biggest i have seen on video is 18. biggest i have seen in person was 15 lbs on my boga last year, and that fish could dam near bite the fish you're holding in half.
Wooden plugs for bluefish is a crazy preference.
Yeah buddy! I’ve split too many (less expensive) plastic plugs in half…
