10,000 likes = STRAIGHT PIPES!🔥
JR Garage why tf would you straightpipe it when it has a afternarket exhaust
Cam it
When you're done get rid of
why dont you kids grab a vacuum cleaner before you worry about the exhaust.
@@slimsid7078 we'd keep the rear section but mod the rest probably
Not the highest mileage there’s a c5 in the Corvette museum with 700k original miles 💯 just proves how durable that 5.7 is
LS1 is a legendary motor!
Indeed it is im going to buy a c5 pretty soon I just got my license and I’m trying to save up
500K miles Toyota 5.7 in the Tundra, Lexus LX, GSF is just the break in period for those engines.
Neal Singh correct.its the period that those engines literally break into pieces.
Not durable enough if they're putting 700000 examples in freaking museums😂
I cant wait to see the cleaning part...and how the interior's gonna transform
It will be a night and day difference!
The car needs a name. What about: Miles?
The Car Throttle guys named a Skoda Octavia the name Miles.
Love it haha!
Rusty nuts
Miles O'Drivin….
JR Garage Same haha.
We still waiting for the s600 straight pipes
CEASERSREVENGE and equal length headers
Cjstricklen111 that would be insane!!
Waiting for that straight pipe too
Get it DONE!
@@cjstricklen2930 I have a friend working on fabricating equal-length headers for my S600. If he can't do it by January, I'm going for the Brilliant Exhaust headers from Japan. Check out my channel for updates.
I’d just drive it, see how long it lasts. Maybe it might make a million some day.
That car deserves a interior restoration and go through it and do all the maintenance and see how many miles you can get on it.
@@towboatjeff 👏👏👏
Same
I sau do that but with boost
This should be on Hoovies garage
“I just bought the cheapest highest mileage clean title C5 in the US!”
And I only paid $5000 for it!
next video after that: "so here's what's wrong with my high mileage C5 corvette...."
That is a dead guys car. The wife donated it right after his passing.
Minnesota Prepper how do you know that?? I’m interested!
Robert himlers car
@@bradbozarth1822 i mean there aren't many 500k+ mile corvettes
Cyberspino there isn’t very many Chevrolet with 500,000 in general lol
@@bradbozarth1822 yeah its easy to find out who was the owner of one thats so unique
4:03 are we all going to ignore that amazing Model T?
Yes
I thought i was trippin lmao
Yeah I saw that very beautiful antique.
It's great to see you both get so excited about a ragged high millage Vette.
I’m betting this car was used by a traveling businessman. Someone who used it like an office and didn’t care about the inside.
Maybe. But a half million miles will likely be rough on any interior.
If a businessman owned that car, it wouldn't be around today, simple as that lol
Donald Trump cus he’d scrap it
Damn whoever had this car took really good care of it. Except for the interior 😂
Baeyab _ when you daily drive somthin for that long the damage on the interior gets away from ya 😂
I say restore the interior. It doesn’t have to be perfect. But try to bring it back to its former glory
Looks like you got a great deal!! Honestly, I think the exhaust sounds amazing as is, probably don’t need to straight pipe this one! Love the videos, keep it up!
I can smell the interior of the corvette through my phone.
I just bought a 2001 C5 convertible. 29000 miles. Watching your video with this car having over 500,000 makes me VERY VERY HAPPY.
The ad before y’all start the car is evil asf lmao
This isn’t the highest mileage corvette ever 😂, the national corvette museum has a c5 with 773,338 miles
Be careful, it may could be a Transformer^^
Love that the high mileage c5s are getting so much publicity. I have one with 235k miles and I can daily it. There is one in the Corvette museum with 7 or 800k miles. Tbh if I were yall I would clean it up and try to drive it to 1 million.
Gut the interior and find some awesome replacements and perhaps sand the exterior and put some high grade clear coat finish. Also do a nice steam clean in the engine comp and take it from there. Great find guys You are the bomb!
Great job. You did better then me on price. I just got a c5 with 90k in miles for 3200. Interior on mine was perfect but I needed to put front bumper right side fender, 5 mile pad, and crash bar.
Man these are exactly like my first Copart videos from nearly 2 years ago. Cool.
That thing got to 500 k and your new vette has 100 miles that is just today’s reliability
Dispite the miles and the sound of the engine I'm sure it has a good maintenance record. Nice score!
I love this, I work for a mercedes and see so many lovely cars never driven but when a car is truly used as design its the best thing Its honestly a shame in my opinion to own such amazing cars and never use them. There not just trophies!
4:21 thank me later 💁♂️
Ill thank you in 4 months 2 days 1 hour 32 min. 2 seconds
@@lvkie1348 sounds good to me, just don't forget. Or else I'll be upset...
Rob Bob lol I’m kidding I gotchu rn.
@@lvkie1348 thank you my guy ✌️
Im confused what?
I own a 2004 zo6 , Its been a track car its whole life , It has 40000 miles of track use. It has never had anything done to the engine or transmission other than a heavy duty clutch and coolers for the oil trans and diff. Has a ton of suspension work but engine is bone stock. Runs perfect, Great car! I have changed the oil after every track use (About 12 a year). Oil is so clean you can not see it on the dip stick.. Very robust car.
Duuude thats literally the same Vette i was interested in and looked at for quite a bit. The fact that you have it is amazing. Congrats!
Best build yet! Great job guys!
You have over 1 million subs and u still reply to comments. This is why ur the best.
I came here for the s600 and now this c5. I’m stayin for good lol
Dank Beans thank you 🙏🏻
Same, bro
haha same as me , great people great content
"projects that they're not break the bank" HOW CAN YOU SAY A V12 MERCEDES CAN NOT BREAK THE BANK? HAHAHHA
Bernardo Meneghini those old Mercedes are dirt cheap, you can find any v12 cheaper
I wonder how many trans and tires and engines that’s gone through
NO STRAIGHT PIPING! World has enough straight piped LS-engined cars already, this exhaust sounds good.
4:01 you guys just ignored the Ford Model T :'(
The_Pokemon_Collector_2000 I agree. That car is so special.
For half million miles vette it sound good, im surprise didnt hear any knocking under the hood
Omg I’m so glad for you guys. I can’t believe I guessed right. Wish you the best for the corvette
there is a c5 in the corvette museum with 700k
10:32 That's either the dirtiest aluminum block or it's a good ole vortech
500k miles, aftermarket exhaust, new tires, quality wheels, no visible engine mods, perfectly running and destroyed interior... this was someone's baby at one point and they definitely dded it
Love corvettes especially the C5, have one of my own and I baby it lol
Mr Creative 🙌🏽🙌🏽
That’s the kind of car that GM might pay good money for because of the high mileage. It might actually be a corvette world record. Y’all should look into this.
Any corvette has been my dream car since I was born deadass😍
Those front brake rotors are toast! Metal-to-metal! Maybe a drug mule ran those miles up. Would the Corvette museum in Bowling Green KY want it to display as is?
LS engines run for every it seems! Run that thang, never hurts to have the highest mileage C5.
Do a track build, not a drag bulid but legit track toy for corners
All that corvette needs is some work on the interior, rims, and a paint job 😃
I had a Holden Statesman (basically a luxury spec Commodore) down here in Aus with the LS1 I bought with over 400,000kms and racked up another 40k in my ownership. Not one problem with it, just routine maintenance. Sounded exactly like this one. They are very durable engines if not beat on every single day. It had great fuel economy out on the open road too, equivalent to 25-27 MPG out of a full size sedan with a V8.
Track car all the way! Maybe a le mans or grand touring car replica?
I'm stoked to watch this series, I bought a 2004 base Corvette several months ago and she needs to be "woke up". I can't wait to see what mod you all do to this car. Great channel. I've been watching since the Porsche built.
If you guys straight pipe it I need those mufflers. I'm subbing right now...
Thank you JR Garage just watching has inspired me to try and start my own channel. thx so much
I'll trade you factory C5 Z06 wheels plus cash for those wheels! I'm in AZ too
You didn't see the huge dent in one of them???
@@shawncrosby311 looks repairable, if not, the lip is replaceable
I’d do this in a heartbeat

Being from Kentucky I have so much pride for these cars I’m bow tie till I die I’m proud to own a Monte Carlo that was my dads now I inherited it
Jeffery your RUclips channel is my favorite ever and I love the new vette, Can you do a meetup in Kansas City Missouri sometime btw?
Maybe one day!
I think you should just bring it back to life. It's an American icon. Clean it up and replace the seats and carpet. Really nice car.
Drive it down route 66 Like the old T.V. show!
I saw a C5 corvette in corvette museum 728,561 miles on it.And it looks great.
That’s awesome bro 🔥
Restomod on that vette, that 5.7 has a lot of miles to give, and it would be a sick daily
Yes!
Don’t straight pipe the C5. A nice set of long tube headers and a different cam shaft is what made that other vette sound so good.
I don’t think I would cam it with that many miles on the engine lol that’s just a waste.
The C5 corvette was taught to be one of the most reliable corvettes, they run for forever and literally are hard to kill
11:20 First start. Don’t waste your time guys.
I found a 1981 Porsche 911 SC. It's a upcoming lot put of Delaware. It has a clean title and no damage.
Leave the exhaust it's the best sound I found please
I usually prefer watching restoration projects, but this is the perfect candidate for a track car!
I’ve seen cars with a quarter of that mileage in worse condition
You guys should do a totally custom interior w an in dash navigation system and nice stereo. Maybe some racing seats, 5 point harnesses, etc... kind of like a early 2000's show car... maybe even add ground effects kit with led lighting and stuff.... Would be fun to see a throwback like that
Fricking great deal, definitely signing up with *Copart.com*
I only like Porsche 944's, RX7s, RX8s, and Fiero 2M6s 😂
Buy some *JR Garage*
Budget builds are the best tbh
There’s straight up a model t in a copart yard like w h a t
I bought a 66 GTO convertible sight unseen once. Put a battery in it and drove it half way home and the powerglide trans went out.
The two twins are amazing🔥🔥
They're not twins

C5's are a good buy right now. I bought a 2000 Millenium Yellow C5 with 80, 000 miles on it for $13G and there was NOTHING wrong with it. + I got $5G trade in on my C4 that I fixed up so my net purchase was like $8G. U guys'll rock it and it'll be worth 4 or 5 times ur purchase price. Straight pipe it and if u have to give it away, I'm ur guy!
Don’t straight pipe, it’s good enough as it on sound
nahh straight pipe it
Yes i agree it sounds good enough as it is
Mustafa Hamzic too quiet
Never saw your channel before. Don't care about the exotics. Saw the C5 title..clicked immediately. And subbed.....
That engine had been rebuilt I know the previous owner
Take a hard rubber mallet and believe it or not, you can pound the bend right out of that rim. I have done it several times on project cars. Just go a little at a time, and you will get it...
Pls restore it❤❤
I love this, someone actually enjoyed their vette and didn't garage it.
ew don't straight pipe this class act. you'd ruin it.
Idiot
It’s his car and he doesn’t have to listen to you and he can do whatever he wants with it.

I just picked up one 2000 C5 convertible from a retired mechanic for 4900 just hit a 160000 miles car runs perfect
Surprised it don’t have a truck engine in it Lol!
I wonder what the codes are. You know you can read them from the drivers seat on the Drivers Information Center.
Keep stock and keep driving it
I agree. With that many miles, it might not be good to boost anything....
It was mentioned that there’s a 773k C5 in the Corvette museum, but there’s also a C2 with 594k that has updates from the owner as recently as 3 days ago.
Not only is this not the highest mileage C5, it’s not even the highest mileage Corvette on the road. Still, this car was pushed to well over double what most cars are driven to, let alone sports cars.
Restore it!
Paid $9K for my C5 three months ago with 100,000 miles. You got ripped
I would just redo the interior and give it a good wash and wax and drive but that’s just me
Maybe the outer ring of the rim can be swaped with a spare one. I got one of my old 3 piece brabus monoblock repaired this way. Was about 200€ back in 2012. Replacement seatcover are cheap if you search for a good deal. Sometimes you can get some arround 400-500 bucks. If the exhaust can get sold for a good price then it covers everything if you straight pipe it.
I'll give you $2,300 for the C5 Vette. :)
Make it $2350 ;)
Chazdex I’ll do 2351$
That car needs to be a "see how many miles we can get out of this". Put some clean salvage interior parts in it, deep clean it, give it a thorough major service including bearings and bushes. Don't modify it. Sort that wheel problem out, then use it as the mile eater. loan it out, do crazy road trip mission videos in it, work it until its first major failure then reassess what to do with it. See how long a Corvette can live a useful lifespan. Whatever you do, don't stop it from clocking more and more miles.
DRAG OR TRACK CAR!!!
6:50 "highest mileage C5 out there". There was a C5 donated to the National Corvette Museum with over 770,000 miles. Still had original engine and transmission. He did say he had to replace the suspension.
Please Dont sell the Mercedes S600 ! And Please let the Exhaust on the Corvette it Sound Perfekt with this aftermarket Exhaust!
Great Sounding Vette!!! I have the same exact exhaust on my C5, but I have dual pipes instead of quad.
Get a vaccume and new seats and ur good
Reminds me of the Doug Rippie Motorsport Corvettes from Car and Driver from back in the day. Those HRE wheels are timeless.
If ur version of a "straight pipe" is deleting the mufflers and resonators ur not a real car guy..
you know what I'd like to see..... the movie car of the 80's: Risky Business, Weird Science, Cannonball Run 2, Scarface, and loads of TV appearances. In 1986, this car set the speed record as the fastest production car at 172MPH and was the only sports car to ever win the European car of the year. It's also a V8, so I'd be interested in hearing it straight piped....... Porsche 928. Now with full disclosure, I have loved this car since I was a kid and own one myself. It's one of those cars that people often forget. At Cars and Coffee it always draws a crowd as it brings back memories of the movies it was it, then people are surprised to see it was a Porsche that came with a V8. Then you throw at them that is has passive rear steering on a 30 year old car and mind blown.
