@@JRGarage Actually only thing you had to do was pull the dipstick out and look at the level. If the level was high then you know there's water in it. It's that easy. I guess you like buying expensive engines. But it makes no sense when you try to get a deal and then you trash the most expensive part of the car. It's kind of funny that you promote Copart but you don't know how to do all the checks on these cars. The sad part is you knew it was the wrong thing to do. But it's your money. If you thought shutting off the motor real quick was going to save it, you have another thing coming. That first initial start you did and the engine stopped, could of potentially bend the connecting rod because it was hydrolocked with water in the cylinders. And then you're screwed. Next time pull the dipstick please. You even did it on that other car where you did pull the dipstick and you seen a milkshake and you still ran it. And what happened? You had to replace the engine.
Gambling with a high performance car like this, by just turning it over before Any mechanical inspection.. Why...? Really..?? Normally if flooded change engine oil/watermixture, All spark plugs removed, fogging oil in all cylinders and check of airintake/airbox filter., before turning over with out spark plugs.. 🤔 Anyway seems like a Nice buy, congrats..😎
Always remember this, Water DOES NOT compress. It's like have steel rods on top of each piston ready to break out of the block if the engine turns over
*We Want To See The Boxster 981 GTS* Them door switches go out. My 981 has had one go out. Porsche wants $131.00 I got mine off Amazon for i think $34.00 Shipped. They're all the same through the model range as well. Very easy to replace as well. Inside the car there is a spot where you can ad power to the car through the fuse area and than pop the fronk. button didn't work but the key may have when you added the jumper to the fuse box.
Why you trying to start engine after potential flood? You should unscrew the spark plugs, drain old olil, pour in new oil and then try to start without sparks. Then use some fogging oil to cylinders, screw in the spark plugs and it should start. Othervise you can damage engine.
I know it is all about content but trying to start it without the basic checks screams click bait. Even my limited mechanical knowledge knows it is a silly idea. But best of luck with it. Hope you make a great deal out of it.
Why the hell would you not pull the plugs and see if there's water in the Pistons, and check the oil before you try to start it. Never mind that would make too much sense
Thank you for not getting it started! L O L. When the Maserati popped up on the screen I started to laugh at the flashback. Congratulations I hope you pull this one off
im sure this business is like all others too much work overloaded employees and low pay these places wouldnt be short on workers all the time if they paid good money to the workers
I don't know if I would feel like a winner if my porsche 911 turned up on a forklift. Then again, I can't afford one flooded or not. Soo, my brains confused.
Shouldn’t you pull the plugs to check for water in the cylinders and check the fluids, before you try to crank a flood damaged car?
Yup should have done that haha
Yep
Bad head gasket on my 944 caused 2 bent rods when I cranked it up at the racetrack!😪😪😪😪😪😪🚘🚘
Clearly yes
You could have easily bent a rod just trying to crank it over if it was hydrolocked.
Yup could have ended badly!
@@JRGarage So why didn't you pull the plugs out before you tried to crank it??
@@ricksmith4736 Because he is impatient and couldn't wait to do prep the car for 1st crank properly.
You don’t remember when they were trying to start all those flooded cars at Copart last year when they bought the Maserati 🤦🏻♂️

You didn't check the oil, just grab the key and let's start her up? ...knowing is a FLOOD CAR? Bro, you shouldn't be working on cars at this point.
What happend to the 997 Turbo?
Definatly something you can't do in Australia, once flooded they are illegal to put back on the road
Why the hell would you try starting it if it’s a flood car… that’s like the dumbest thing in the world bruh
I'm screaming at my phone for you not to try and start it. Hopefully, you didn't cause an issue. Matt.
Please do an update!

Nice to see more content from you.
More to come!

Always excited to see a Porsche on the channel!
Why did you guys try to start a flooded car? You could have caused a lot of damage :-(
Btw happy for the content
What year is it ??
06-09
I've missed a couple of you past videos as I was having exams. Damn can't wait to see what y'all did
I need your luck in my life man

Why risk hydrolock
Yikes
Hey it is a Porsche 911 Turbo !! Excellent buy !! I've been driving Porsches for 50 years.. You can't go wrong !!
Amazing bargain, great colour combination 👍👍
What happened to this car??
A Cabriolet !!! Love it !! I have one !! I love mine !!
How much would you want for it all dialed in ?
I just bought 2 991.1 comming from Florida to Croatia both fully flooded..if someone have some advice thank you.
That’s crazy, I live really close to AIM performance and it’s strange to see familiar places in the video lol
Small world!
I want bent rods, I love stripping an engine just to replace them!
It’s amazing how the lack of knowledge can be soooo expensive.
Price ?
Holy moly 🙏🏼 I think you just made a great deal again again again again and again 👌🏻😉 congratulations
Why would you buy a very nice car and not drain the oil and pull the spark plugs?
Super Enjoyed your vid ! Congrats 🎊
Am I the only one that’s thinking - “I’m not sure these guys know anything about fixing cars”?
Flood cars are NEVER the same again, especially if it’s salt water.
what a great content..!1 congrats and keep it up!!!
Speaking of Porsches. What's going on with the Porsche you were LS swapping?
Nice of your father in law to help out!
Hii, love ur videos
Glad you like them!
Thought this was a Samcrac video lol
Well we both like flood cars 😂
lets gooo loving the series ;)
You guys are hilarious! Hahaha
- buys a flood car
-tries to start engine right away
I'm hoping that was just for views... No way anyone would have actually tried to start that
What happened to this car? Did you ever get in working?
Can’t wait to see what’s next!!!!!
Why the hell would you not pull the plugs and see if there's water in the Pistons, and check the oil before you try to start it. Never mind that would make too much sense
Trying to start a freshly flooded car without any prep on the engine? Didn't pull plugs? Not intelligent
English town IAAI has awesome cars :)
Thank you for not getting it started! L O L. When the Maserati popped up on the screen I started to laugh at the flashback. Congratulations I hope you pull this one off
you picked that car up in my backyard! crazy 😂
What's up brothers happy holidays!!!!
911 turbos depreciate the most
28k for a flooded 911 turbo- I don’t think depreciation is the first thing you think of!😂
The 997 has already hit market bottom and started rising in value
You need a updated business card. Your name underneath one word "Insane".
W edit!
This video is peak “dopey rich person” energy
Let me have it for Christmas 🎄
Big gamble.. 10k would be a huge risky
Its a FLOODED Car!!..you would think they would build engines that kinda shy away from that sort of issue...lol..
im sure this business is like all others too much work overloaded employees and low pay these places wouldnt be short on workers all the time if they paid good money to the workers
Someone hacked Jr garage channel and they are posting regularly 😂😂😂
! A Brown interior Cab / Tiptronic 🥺🤮
I don't know if I would feel like a winner if my porsche 911 turned up on a forklift. Then again, I can't afford one flooded or not. Soo, my brains confused.
I was like number 996… I’ll take a win
You should NEVER try to start any flooded car without going through all the systems first
$28500 is hardly the cost of a Honda Civic…
A Porsche in a pear tree
These guys I don’t get. Not sure but probably just doing stupid stuff to get views. Well done!
Wow! You really talk fast
Stupid sidebar video insets! Not to mention trying to start the car without removing spark plugs and draining the oil.
4:33
What is wrong with you? Why would you try to start a flooded engine and destroy it.
You could Renegade LS swap it. Oh wait, you already tried that and failed.
It will be done and tearing up the streets in about a week :)
Why get a 911 turbo and then LS swap it? Get a 4s for far less money to do an LS swap instead.
Yoooo
Aaaaaa9
First
Fast!
Who care it's a autotrans hairdresser's car
This guy is so annoying.
Vapor lock? Take out the plugs and try to turn it over
