@@SilverGlint I really hope Fromsoftware announces an expansion soon-ish. There's still a lot in AC6 that's been left clouded in mystery (the PCA, for example)
Id say AC6 was easily one of the most polished and well thought out games I've played in a long time. Nearly everything worked in such a smooth manner, be it the build crafting, combat, story, music and sound design, etc. Its just a really good game that works well, which is hard to say about a lot of modern games unfortunately.
I agree with your words, most games these days are rushed because the majority of the population doesn't understand the meaning of patients. My major primary example, even though this was already talked about long ago, but look at what happened to Cyberpunk 2077 (yes I'm ready for some people to hit me with some not so nice words 😂). But because soooooo many impatient children, yes I said children and those of you know who you is 👀 That game came out more messed up then most of my date nights 😂💀💀 I'm glad FromSoftware took their time with AC6 because I love and enjoy the game so much that I have 68 different mechs in my garage, none of them have the exact same loadouts and I try to keep them unique to their play styles. I've played since the very first one for the original PlayStation back in the day. I hope more people will give it a try and I can't wait to see what's planned for the future of this franchise. Apologies for the rambling, I just love this game that much lmao 😂
A well made video by Silver Glint here as always. And as someone who also likes the AC series enough to make a lore channel. I second that anyone look to try armored core should play ac6 first and if you want more, you should play the older games. Be it by disk or emulation.
Love that you mentioned Dune. As someone who is on book four of the series, I had that moment where I said, “Wait! Coral is spice! And there’s a worm in AC too!”
It blows my mind how the developers were able to make AC6 a love-letter to every previous generation of Armored Core while also lowering the barrier to entry AND somehow still make it a completely unique experience. It's not flawless, and indeed isn't even my favourite in the series, but I don't think FromSoftware could have done a better job welcoming players to the franchise. It's accessible, but not watered-down. It's heavily-detailed, yet extremely well-optimized (I didn't even have to upgrade from my 1070 to play at 60 Hz on max specs). And it really is just a fun, fun, fun game to play.
Armored Core 6 not only lived up to, but EXCEEDED my expectations and quashed any trepidation I had regarding whether or not From Soft could succeed in bringing back the series after lying dormant for so long. One of the most fulfilling games I've played in recent history and one of the best New Game+ features I've experienced in a long time as well. But not only that, even as an Armored Core game it stands out among it's brothers as one of the most mechanically realized games, with a modernized control scheme and movement that fits somewhere in-between 4 and 3, striking a balance for those who want the speed of 4 but the finesse and ease of access from the Silent Line era. While some may prefer the settings, aesthetics, music, or overall "vibe" of one armored core game or another. It cannot be denied that mechanically speaking, Armored Core 6 is VERY VERY polished. Especially after some of it's patches to rebalance the game and make combat even snappier. (and the AI smarter) And it even executed some new concepts for the series pretty well! (tracking melee attacks with lunge speed and distance affected by boosters. Different types of melee weapons. Hovering Quads etc.) If I could only ask for one thing in the game it would be even more chassis and weapons. (More Karasawa variants pls) Which is by itself basically a form of praise since essentially all I want is more of the game lol. (Also I would love to bring back the ability to tune individual parts)
But to add to that. Yeah, as a whole I think Armored Core 6 stands the test of the series history. And I would rank it among the best games in the series up there with Silent Line, AC4. and Last Raven. I know it's unusual not to say 4answer instead. But honestly? I kinda prefer vanilla 4 in many regards. And after the patches I would even go so far as to say that AC6 is the most "realized" out of all of them and sets a new standard for the series going forward. It benefits from not having the same constraints as the older entries in the series as well as the resources for From Software to give us a more cinematic story and presentation. The game is both innovative and SO respectful of what came before, that even those new to the series can jump in here, and IMMEDIATELY experience what Armored Core IS. Yeah I know some players complain about the health packs and checkpointing etc. But in fairness, the average mission in 6 is FAR longer than your classic armored core missions. It's just easy to forget that sometimes when you're over boosting through a stage, speed running it for the S rank. (By the way, I also personally love AC Verdict Day, but I know many other fans don't due to how different that game is. Especially coming off of 4 Answer. I'd consider it one of my personal favorites in the series. But in terms of reputation I didn't rate it among the "greats")
Beautifully articulated, and I agree with pretty much everything you said, it certainly does justice to the IP, even if there are compromises it stands tall on top of it's predecessors in a lot of regards, definitely a legendary comeback.
My first AC and Fromsoft game was For Answer, about 16 years back. The intro movie's choir still gives me goosebumps and the the main menu's Piano wide eyes. It was a special bit of childhood with its almost "biblically accurate" power gaps between MTs, NEXTs and Arms Forts. The cradles and AF Answerer hammered this perspective down especially well. Never thought i'd hear of Armored Core after Verdict Day. Was excited beyond containment hearing of AC6's announcement and trailer. Fromsoft even pulled the release 3 days ahead instead of delaying it. Still super happy this game is here and got kept updated, even if some friends are missing some specific things from their favourites ^v^ Amazing Video Glint, I definitely wanna boot AC6 again this week
It makes me so happy to read this, definitely stoked to know these games stuck with you that much and were able to give you memorable moments. I did not see AC6 coming at all but it's been a genuine blessing on all fronts, can't wait for the next AC to come about any sooner! Cheers
Ever since I tried Cyborg Justice (an underwhelming if aesthetically cool beat-em-up on the Genesis) at a friend's house in the early 90's, I knew I wanted to play games about building and piloting custom robots. Since then, I've played nearly all of them on nearly every platform, and AC6 is my favorite so far. Your vid does a great job explaining why.
I watched the entirety of this video and I can say for sure you nailed how to describe Armoured Core 6, i hope newcomers to this franchise and this game see your video and be inspired by this amazing video and game and hopefully play it thanks to you. Another day another mission another masterpiece.
An excellently edited and enthusiastic summary of the game, it's mechanics and themes. Even long after completing the game, unlocking all its parts and secrets I get a hankering for its polished gameplay now and then, especially when we're blessed with a patch update. I just wish there were more parts and missions, so I'm hoping the positive buzz, industry acclaim and exposure via the upcoming animated short will usher in sizable DLC one day.
I'm glad I picked this game up when i did. I've loved every second of my about 400 hours of gametime with it. Was definitely worth the small weight it was to get it but ever since I haven't been able to really put it down
Still have it in my headcannon that 6 is in the same universe as 1st/2nd gen, which did have space travel at least to Mars. 6 mentions Jupiter in the Jupiter Wars, which means Earth is a thing too and the various gens of augmentation can easily be evolved Human Plus basically made mainstream.
I wouldn't recommend pvp to people who wants to get AC6, target assist really trivialize it, and there's not a lot of room to mess around and coming up with new builds. The SP though, oh man is it phenomenal.
because the game is technically more single player leaning calling it a dead game is kind of a null statement by people, the game is thriving for what it is, the game came did it's thing and that was that, it's not a live service where it's constant content updates for the next 8 years, AC is very much alive and well and it's been a great breath of fresh air and I can't wait for the new installments to come, sooooooo many warcrimes so many possibilities it's beautiful.
I love this series so much and i wish i had a group of people that would just like to do chill matches and test new builds. Most of my friends dont really enjoy this type of game so i hope more people can get into this series.
I also dislike that about AC6. I’m a new fan but watching retrospectives I like the hopeless earth feeling of older games, except AC2 which was on Mars. It’s like… I don’t feel emotionally invested frickin Mars or Rubicon 3. Overall I like AC6 a lot still.
Having a society that's completely underground feels anything but grounded. In most games it did not feel all that relevant if it's set on earth or not.
my first armored core game is Verdict day, and let me tell you it was hard to tryna fit in with the fellow ac NEXT or ravens we may call. i didnt't know much about armored core series until the trailer release of armored core 6, the whole hype about armored core starts happening at that time and verdict day began a trend, and thats where i start playing it. and yeah i have played the fun it all until the very last server day. after that i immediately start playing ac 6, and yeah it was very difficult to understand the whole thing, and i have to found out the whole thing about ac 6 game mechanic that its the same one before verdict day. so i played the older version of ac game, only played For Answer but i found out why fellow ravens have huge ptsd against Nine-Ball. but then i kept repeating and learning to get better at this game, like every FromSoftware's Games quote you gotta gitgud. so now i'm getting good at it but still trash on online pvp and i'll get used to it because thats the fun begin colliding with huge robots, and damm i love every single thing about armored core series
Awesome to see how you got to know the series, Verdict Day is amazing and considered by many to have the best multiplayer gameplay, though admittedly it can be quite divisive even within the community! That being said, welcome on aboard, here's to you not giving up and sticking through with the series in order to earn your Raven callsign - keep practicing online, you'll get better in no time!
I used to never really be into the mech genre at all. I only gave AC6 a try because I'm a huge Souls fan, and holy hell, it blew me away. Fantastic game. I've played it through over a dozen times by now, and every time I feel the need to scratch that itch, I HAVE to sit down and play through NG, NG+, and NG+2 at a minimum. I don't put the game down until I get all three endings again at the least. It's insanely addicting, feels smooth and satisfying to play, and as a new AC fan, I really appreciate the lowering of the complexity they did for people like myself who felt intimidated by the in depth stuff from the preview games. Build diversity keeps it interesting for me, I love the characters and the OST fucking slaps. There's only one mission I don't enjoy completing, but it only takes 3 or 4 minutes once you know the path. AC6 blew me away, definitely one of my favorite games now.
Welcome Raven, I'm glad to see you've taken such a liking to AC6 - it truly is a fantastic experience from start to finish. I think the mech genre is severely underappreciated due to a lot of low quality games being representative of what it has to offer, Armored Core as a franchise has been completely overshadowed by the newer From Soft titles and it doesn't help that these newer ones are some of the most influential and popular pieces of media out there. But yeah Souls has AC in its DNA, they are two sides of the same coin, generally if people enjoy one they will enjoy the other. If you haven't tried any of the other AC games, I recommend you give either AC3 or AC: For Answer a try!
Bought this game last week. I cant stop playing! Never played a Armored Core game before, I knew I was going to like it, But boy oh boy. This thing is addicting. And I though Souls was the best in their Catalogue. This their best game FOR SURE
I have been playing again recently. This game makes you feel like such a boss when you finally let the battle system click. I can body all of the bosses with my lightweight dual laser pistol build and I'm up to B4 in solo ranked.
I can still remember playing Armored Core 2 for the first time over 20 years ago. I only got to play that game for a couple of days (unfortunately, it wasn't mine) but it left such an impact on me that I promised myself that I would finish it one day when I had my own copy. By the time I was able to fulfill that promise, I was a grown man. Now I've got a whole Armored Core collection (to include AC6), Devil May Cry 5, and Tenkaichi 4 in the form of Sparking Zero. I guess those silly childhood dreams weren't so silly after all.
Have you tried cleaning it? Mine was so loud, so I disassembled it, removed all the dust, and put new thermal paste on the CPU. It's super quiet again. Might help you.
If you haven’t played it yet or are just starting the franchise then absolutely yes. If you played and beat it then there is not much to do. However it’s always fun to just hope back on for no reason
A wise purchase wasn't it Zudah? I used to rent AC3 as a kid all the time - back when video game rental shops were a thing, and man where did I end up...
This video made me complete "Reach the coral convergence(ALT)" S rank in less than 4 minutes. thank you, good video. Only wish i could bring the joy this game brings me to more people.
I'm just waiting on either a crazy expansion pack or a sequel. In the mean time, I've been stuck in the land of the fourth gen, messing around with trying to do high speed dual wield melee. Ac6 was certainly a fun game, my favorite of 2023 to be honest and maybe I'll revisit it after trying out fifth gen or something. I think my first fromsoft related mecha was actually Another Century's Episode 3. There was something fun about getting to fly around stuff like Wing Zero and Burning Gundam in a way much different from Dynasty Warriors or Gundam Vs Gundam. I guess I didn't know it at the time but there was some of that Armored Core Dna in there somewhere.
AC6 has the best single campaign story since the original halo trilogy. The twists and turns had my jaw drop several times just in my first playthrough. Once it all starts expanding in the replies, thats when i knew it was really something special. Will recommend to literally anyone.
"Why you should play it right now" Me with over 200 hours and a platinum: no need to say anything else. By the way, have you seen the new secret level ACs? What do you think of them using weaponry from AC6 with new (I don't think I've seen them before) frame parts?
No words needed huh? Glad you're as crazy for it as the rest of us! I actually did a breakdown of the secret level ACs and all the details I could spot here on the channel, is there any newer info on those? If so I'm very interested, but tldr: it looks amazing!!
@@laserduck6149 OHHH shit I did not know about those, definitely need to dive into that and formulate some opinions, but I think that might help us define a more specific style and know what to expect going into the episode, so far I was convinced it was a completely new generation that burrowed from all previous designs but from what you're saying this might actually be 6 or post 6!
The head is a small melander, the core is firmeza, and the arms are more polygonal orbiter. The legs have no close equivalent, they lack the complex intricacy of nachtreiher or kasuar.
i love the image of an old-gen pilot panicking because they can't get a fast ac in their sights at all, compared to ac 6 where you're panicking not because you can't keep track of them but *can't fuckin hit them*. i think it strikes a nice balance in that way; both scenarios are cool as FUCK.
AC6 is good, but lesser part and close combat focus often make the game feels cramped for someone who likes long range high mobility combat style like me. There's a lot of homework, but I hope dev would listen to the community and opening some surveys to improve the game through DLC or sequels
My first fromsoft game is AC last raven ps2, the game bought by my late passed away grandma and still remember she confusely watched me play it 😂. The moment i finished the game i shed tear knowing maybe my grandma become coral somwhere out there watch me taking this raven name again..
That hits me really hard in the feels Raven, I'm glad Armored Core helped you get such a vivid beautiful memory of your grandma, in a way it immortalized her in your mind, and you better be sure she's rooting for you - no matter where she is!
Decided to come back after a long break when i was put 200 hours in at release. How is this game so good that i just instinctively play the whole series AGAIN right after one playthrough. It's like a trigger. Armored core was nowhere on my mind for iver a year then suddenly its my whole personality again
Back when I was a kid, I loved mecha but there was no game I could find to get that fantasy I wanted. I was sadly forced to stick with anime shows or transformer games. Years later I heard about armored core from a comment in a music video. I searched it up but instead landed on metal wolf chaos and forgot about it. I then player my first from software game Dark souls 3 and when I finished it, I was satisfied and went back to their older dark souls (screw sekiro and dark souls 2. Yes it's a skill issue.) of course I played elden ring. And then they announced armored core 6. I then figured out it was from from software. I decided to wait till it came out since I trusted the company. When I played it, I finally clicked. It was the one and only mech game I always wanted and thanks to this game, I am satisfied with gaming. I even went as far back to ac4. I am working on getting as far back to armored core 1. It finally gave me what I wanted in a mech game. I didn't want to feel like I was just an anime pilot with plot armor and heroics. I wanted to feel like an actual war machine and I can make my way. Build the perfect mech, not a character or class. If I gotta change something up for a mission, I will. Sadly I played up all the missions and almost perfected them. I made it rank B on PS5 and C on Xbox so I am good with where I am.
Love knowing about all sorts of Raven backstories, seems like Armored Core fans have a lot of weird quirky ways they got introduced to the series! Glad you found your way into it :)
@@SilverGlint I have been trying to get new people into this game. I can't get my family into it since most of them play sports games or fortnite. For some reason, they avoid my type of games. Probably the setting. Still I recommended it to some people but I never got an answer from them. So now I just stick with myself. I cannot describe how perfect this game was to me. My only problems were the stagger bar, the arena fights not lasting long enough, and the AI not dodging enough. It may be my thirst for more difficulty but my favorite fights were the cel 240, sea spider, and the fight bosses for the endings. Walter being my number 1, they should have had the fire damage both Walter and 621 to increase the urgency. Other than that, this game is perfect. All I want is more, hopefully dlc. If a new generation? Then sequel. Sorry this was a long one but you can tell how much this game means to me. It was the one thing I needed in a mech game. Feeling my own class, separate from the other military weapons. But tell me, how did you get into armored core. You can probably make that into a video too.
@@theantagonist2960 My first mech game was actually Hawken and I absolutely love being a lightning fast glass cannon that was the Berserker. Needless to say, the high speed lightweight action absolutely clicked with me. And even better because I have a knife too.
Might as well share my sentiments on ACVI; The pros: - Story is engaging with 3 endings - Characters have so much personality - The amount of customization and relatively easy learning curve - Post-launch DLC is free and awesome - Best boi Rusty and Coral waifu Ayre The cons: - PvP is very stale, very boring fighting heavy dual Zimm shields, kites, and Hammergeier builds over and over, love to have some fun modes like destroy as many enemies in “x” amount of time - Missed PvE opportunities like campaign co-op, boss/horde rushes, and a harder difficulty Overall, it’s a goddamn giant robot game and I love it, just wished online capabilities had more options
Yeah, I do think building and pvp is a bit lacklustre, among other small complaints that somewhat add up to pretty irritating complaints. Nonetheless well said, this game is awesome and at the end of the day there's nothing like it out there! Let's go Ravens
Ranked pvp does suck but if you can find a good group of people to play with, you can have some very fun duels. I found this one person who streams and they usually have a good group of people who avoid annoying builds and playstyles. The pvp can be very good as long as both people are playing to have fun.
Armored Core 6 is an awesome single player experience for me. PvP with that horrendous netcode? I can't do it bruh, after the 13th time of getting hit by an attack I CLEARY DODGED, I had enough. I'll keep my PvP to fighting games since the majority have rollback netcode now.
Since Eureka 7 is such an underground obscure title I didn't think anyone would connect the dots but you're so real for that, we just need ACs to surf on hoverboards like Nirvash
@@SilverGlint Not too real for it. I admittedly watched the series because of AC6 and wasn't really a fan. The mech designs and animation were great though. My personal favorite being Holland's two mechs. The influence was undeniable though.
ac 6 is a masterpiece but its dead now. pvp meta is old and stale, and singleplayer has been ran through. ive got almost 900 hours of it and it was well worth my time and money. nobody i tried to get into the game stuck to it. its not a game you can compare to other experiences in gaming as a reference to judge whether you would like it or not. you HAVE to taste it yourself and GET it.
Absolutely, the best one can do is tell players it exists and is worth a shot, but it's so different and out there that you can only really get it if you experience it on your own terms, everyone will have their own story to tell and that's alright.
I kind of wish that you could make your own practice ac to train with an AC test because the one in there isn’t really that good retraining in my opinion I remember in one of the games there was a program mode for the areas. I kind of hope that they bring that back and expand on it.
Great game, difficult to record. It's much smoother than this video suggests but recording it requires AV1 encoding and a fine tuned bitrate and still results in jitter in the recording during particularly fast camera movements. Feels amazing to play, frustrating to stream or record.
People keep telling me to play Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. And I have been! Since launch! I may have an addiction to making new ACs. Please send help!
Feel like ac6 is less punishing compared to the olds ones I played old ones on emulator and ac6 like last year and armored core 6 was easily in my top 5 or 3 games of 2023 but I just felt less consequences like in the old game debt was a real threat out here but that’s non existent in ac6 kind of like ac4 but the difficulty is still there still extremely fun Almost got close to platinum the game but getting S rank on every mission is kind of hard for me Only got into the franchise like I think months before the announcement of six after watching Josh Strife Plays making a video titled was it good armored core which was like one hour long basically kind of describe it as a peak PS1 game so I played it almost finished the first one, but I quit on the last mission because that platform is way too hard on the last mission that I went to play the rest I skip 2 played three played four and some side games or sequels like silent line and last Raven Ac3 is easily my second most favorite ac game Also, highly recommend armored core lore top-tier lore videos on the old games and the new one
Great read! Yeah one of my biggest complaints is how forgiving the economy is, especially compared to the original AC. Also shout out to my good friend Armored Core Lore - indeed the greatest
i wanted special battles and original boss AI. i defeated balteus and ibis before their nerfs but would like those challenges again. balteus is much easier now and ibis is just not as fast.
I definitely feel that too, wish they made the game slightly harder and more punishing in general, suffers a bit from " first entry in the generation syndrome"
@SilverGlint I enjoyed the game and want more of course. I should elaborate that special battles i would have wished for was a secret boss outside of the lore such as a white glint or 9-ball impossible battle of some sort.
Really pining for an expansion or at least an official co-op mode of some sort since the mod was fun to mess around with. Good luck if it happens next year though because the beta for MH: Wilds already locked it in for my GOTY.
I wish I could, but my laptop runs it like shit and I crash everything I dare open a customization screen 😭( _Except_ for the emblem maker.) A potato mod couldn't come sooner...
Really humbles me for you to have extended the offer, and I appreciate it a lot! But what was initially a technical constraint has become sort of a brand image using the text to speech voice - and I kinda dig it! So I think I'll roll with it; though in future projects where additional voices might be needed I'd be really happy to have you onboard if the video calls for it!
Not trying to spark hate here and it's also a tiny part of the whole video but I find it very strange that you grouped Monster Hunter Wilds in that group of "well established franchises that still respect their original ideas/iterations" when as someone who's been around the block on Mon Hun that game is definitely a big departure. I'm sure it will be a fun game but myself and many older MH fans see a lot of bad seeping in through the cracks with that game. Incredible video otherwise and like I said this is me nitpicking a very subjective and small aspect of the intro.
No, you're right! It can also be argued most examples I've shown have similar nit picks, like how MGSV's plot isn't that universally loved compared to predecessors, how Dragons Dogma 2 enemy variety and combat options are toned down or even how Sparking Zero has some mechanical and balance issues that Tenkaichi 3 didn't have (not as notorious). I've been a fan of Mon Hun since Freedom Unite, I definitely get what you're saying and with World being my favourite until now I'm cautiously optimistic especially when it comes to the whole hit stop on attacks thing, however, what I meant was: I prefer these games that more or less don't try to reinvent the wheel, rather iterate on established premises that are really really strong and fun! Heck even AC6 is a departure from previous ACs in a lot of ways! Thanks for watching Raven 🐦⬛
I ultimately was disappointed with it that stagger bar bs was infuriating i don’t mind bosses being hard but stop nerfing my damage unless they’re staggered was beyond annoying and ruined many of my builds
Stopped playing within a month of launch, honestly it wasn’t even half as fun as Armored Core 4A, but was at least twice as fun as Armored Core V making it my book the second worse game in the series. But to each their own
Hey OP you just spoiled the game telling a new player the coral is sentient ik we get Ayre in CH 1 but you’re supposed to sit guessing if she’s real LOL nah it’s not a huge spoiler just a story note we easily forget bc we played the game a bunch 😂
Not going to lie you're completely right, at this point we played the game so much it kinda flew over my head that was a major story beat, just took it for granted 😔.
I love the game so much, but the lack of creativity and meta chasing toxicity i faced in public lobbies has burned me away from playing. Whether in ranked or public matches I face nothing but super heavies or light weight missile boats. This game has an incredibly fun melee system that is destroyed by holding A. The stagger mechanics are still wiehgted way to far into benefitting super heavies. Yes the balance is MUCH MUCH better than at launch but overall the game is still has a meta SO VERY strong that most tourneys I see have a point system that the base game needs to implement. This game needs more than just a dlc, it needs a sequel that properly builds off the strengths it has. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I want it to be more like AC4 and AC4A.
Totally valid opinion, I definitely get what you're saying, I'm confident it'll get there or at least the sequel will fix a lot of stuff and improve shortcomings
@SilverGlint i don't have an interested of Mecha like Gundam but i did play Dynasty Warriors Gundam, because i like Warriors type of games not because it had Gundam on it
My ONLY complaint with this game is that I wish they would do more with multiplayer. We need boss raids and more game types than just duels.
Honestly that would be awesome, starting with co op missions would be a nice way to do it.
Still hoping future content or sequels do this
@@SilverGlint I really hope Fromsoftware announces an expansion soon-ish. There's still a lot in AC6 that's been left clouded in mystery (the PCA, for example)
@Zappy_C if I had to speculate, the buzz following Secret Level paired with a game awards announcement would be the way to do it
Yeah, I also miss some tipe of coop in this game
My MAIN complaint is the netcode.
It's no pun intended, a well oiled machine.

@@behemoth-g6k I've played all of them!
I agree with your words, most games these days are rushed because the majority of the population doesn't understand the meaning of patients.

A well made video by Silver Glint here as always. And as someone who also likes the AC series enough to make a lore channel. I second that anyone look to try armored core should play ac6 first and if you want more, you should play the older games. Be it by disk or emulation.
Absolutely, and by extension if they want any of the juicy lore we know exactly where to point them towards, the legend ACL himself.
Love that you mentioned Dune. As someone who is on book four of the series, I had that moment where I said, “Wait! Coral is spice! And there’s a worm in AC too!”

Hovering Quads etc.)
If I could only ask for one thing in the game it would be even more chassis and weapons.
Cheers
Ac6 was my first game to fully 100% finish :)
Huge! Hope you enjoyed every minute, Raven!
Thank you 🙏 and I'm glad you enjoy AC6 to that extent, I think it's peak
This fills my heart with joy :’) rubicon deserves more love amidst the fires of the raven ❤️🔥
I watched the entirety of this video and I can say for sure you nailed how to describe Armoured Core 6, i hope newcomers to this franchise and this game see your video and be inspired by this amazing video and game and hopefully play it thanks to you.
Another day another mission another masterpiece.
Thank you so much Raven, warms my heart to see this comment!
Sir! Yes sir! Downloading right now along with armory mod.
Mission briefing complete, well done Raven! (I want to run armory mod myself soon, have fun!)
I hope so too! The worst part about 6 is the fact it ends.
Damn right you should!
You tell em Raven!
This qas my first purchase on ps5. And not disappointed at all. my favorite game since dark souls 3
Seeing the slow motion makes reminds me of the arena replay feature that I miss from the older AC games.
Agree
I'm glad I picked this game up when i did. I've loved every second of my about 400 hours of gametime with it. Was definitely worth the small weight it was to get it but ever since I haven't been able to really put it down
Still have it in my headcannon that 6 is in the same universe as 1st/2nd gen, which did have space travel at least to Mars. 6 mentions Jupiter in the Jupiter Wars, which means Earth is a thing too and the various gens of augmentation can easily be evolved Human Plus basically made mainstream.
This game is such a banger that even after 100% completion, a simple RUclips title is enough to persuade me to hop back on.
Yea they should. Anyone saying it’s dead needs to shut up about pvp. Just play the story. It’s great.❤
This game has cemented its place amongst the greats, pvp is just the icing on the cake!
Hop on to our discord Raven!!
@@SilverGlint I didn't realize you had a discord, appreciate it I'll join in
My biggest issue with ac6 is its setting. I really liked how the older ac games were set on earth it just makes it seem more grounded.
Not all of them were set on earth though?
Having a society that's completely underground feels anything but grounded. In most games it did not feel all that relevant if it's set on earth or not.
@@Romapolitan I mean technically they are "grounded" lol
@@space-timedog2954 Set on earth? More like set in earth haha!
my first armored core game is Verdict day, and let me tell you it was hard to tryna fit in with the fellow ac NEXT or ravens we may call. i didnt't know much about armored core series until the trailer release of armored core 6, the whole hype about armored core starts happening at that time and verdict day began a trend, and thats where i start playing it. and yeah i have played the fun it all until the very last server day. after that i immediately start playing ac 6, and yeah it was very difficult to understand the whole thing, and i have to found out the whole thing about ac 6 game mechanic that its the same one before verdict day. so i played the older version of ac game, only played For Answer but i found out why fellow ravens have huge ptsd against Nine-Ball. but then i kept repeating and learning to get better at this game, like every FromSoftware's Games quote you gotta gitgud. so now i'm getting good at it but still trash on online pvp and i'll get used to it because thats the fun begin colliding with huge robots, and damm i love every single thing about armored core series
Let's goo! I'm a real souls fiend but Armored Core just has extra oomph, lifelong From Soft enjoyer
I haven't had that much fun in a game ever since halo reach and metal gear rising worth every cent and trully hope for a dlc soon
This video has been out for 7 days (at time of comment) and it didn't show up in my recommended feed until 5 minutes after I booted up AC6. Wild.
Recommendations doing their job! I'm haunting you now, good luck!
I can relate to this so much, those dreams aren't silly childhood episodes, rather they are promises to yourself.
Should I play it? Yes!
Is my ps4 inarguably doing way worse than it used to so Im gonna have to stick with Elden Ring?
Yes 😢
This is honestly heart breaking, my condolences to your PS4! Though Elden Ring is still a great choice too! Hopefully you can play AC6 soon
Yes, 🎉
Your better off playing darksouls 1 through3 rather then elden ring
Have you tried cleaning it? Mine was so loud, so I disassembled it, removed all the dust, and put new thermal paste on the CPU. It's super quiet again. Might help you.
@end_game its a windows 8 all in one, the monitor is the computer, it works in the barest sense of the word and struggles playing morrowind
If you haven’t played it yet or are just starting the franchise then absolutely yes. If you played and beat it then there is not much to do. However it’s always fun to just hope back on for no reason
I still remember buying armored core 4 from a retro game store for $10 little did i know what i was getting myself into.😅
A wise purchase wasn't it Zudah? I used to rent AC3 as a kid all the time - back when video game rental shops were a thing, and man where did I end up...
I got it like probably 4 or 3 weeks ago and I'm loving it
This video made me complete "Reach the coral convergence(ALT)" S rank in less than 4 minutes.
thank you, good video.
Only wish i could bring the joy this game brings me to more people.
Absolutely, thank you for watching and good hunting Raven ;) 😁
I haven't stopped playing!
That’s actually a sick idea I didn’t even think of what a missed opportunity. As I don’t really have an interest in pvp
There is a new Secret Level trailer
Man I'm so exited to see that Armored Core episode
"Why you should play it right now"
Me with over 200 hours and a platinum: no need to say anything else.
@@SilverGlintyup, new promotional images, i saw them earlier on reddit. From 6 they were using ludlows and duo-03s
Just found it, awesome looking ACs
Hopefully it leads to some meaningful DLC
The head is a small melander, the core is firmeza, and the arms are more polygonal orbiter. The legs have no close equivalent, they lack the complex intricacy of nachtreiher or kasuar.
Iwill play armored souls for sure man
i love the image of an old-gen pilot panicking because they can't get a fast ac in their sights at all, compared to ac 6 where you're panicking not because you can't keep track of them but *can't fuckin hit them*. i think it strikes a nice balance in that way; both scenarios are cool as FUCK.
THIS, happens to me every single time I boot up any of the AC games. I don't know how they do it.
New secret level AC footage to check out
just completed second run and got liberator ending for first time after getting fires of raven for first time few months ago...kino game

just comment spamming rn so yt recommends this to more people and ac6 gets revived again
Yes.
Thats it. No explanation needed. No skill level required. just yes.
Let's gooooo boys!!!!
And yes I said iguana. It's funnier that way
@@theantagonist2960 My first mech game was actually Hawken and I absolutely love being a lightning fast glass cannon that was the Berserker.
Needless to say, the high speed lightweight action absolutely clicked with me. And even better because I have a knife too.
Might as well share my sentiments on ACVI;
The pros:
- Story is engaging with 3 endings
- Characters have so much personality
- The amount of customization and relatively easy learning curve
- Post-launch DLC is free and awesome
- Best boi Rusty and Coral waifu Ayre
The cons:
- PvP is very stale, very boring fighting heavy dual Zimm shields, kites, and Hammergeier builds over and over, love to have some fun modes like destroy as many enemies in “x” amount of time
- Missed PvE opportunities like campaign co-op, boss/horde rushes, and a harder difficulty
Overall, it’s a goddamn giant robot game and I love it, just wished online capabilities had more options
More Eureka 7 than Dune
In fact not only it the idea of synthesis with the coral lifted from that but so is the very name coral.
Meta is the best it's ever been right now
We need a dlc.

I kind of wish that you could make your own practice ac to train with an AC test because the one in there isn’t really that good retraining in my opinion I remember in one of the games there was a program mode for the areas. I kind of hope that they bring that back and expand on it.
Great idea!
I've played through it 10 times I think that says something
Remember there are multiple new game plus content its worth doing at least to new game plus 5 or 6.
The answer is yes.
Tldr: yes.

Stalker 2 looks amazing
Totally glanced over that, but I have Stalker 2 on my wishlist since forever, I'm a big Metro fan, hopefully it's similar
Feel like ac6 is less punishing compared to the olds ones I played old ones on emulator and ac6 like last year and armored core 6 was easily in my top 5 or 3 games of 2023 but I just felt less consequences like in the old game debt was a real threat out here but that’s non existent in ac6 kind of like ac4
but the difficulty is still there still extremely fun
Almost got close to platinum the game but getting S rank on every mission is kind of hard for me
Only got into the franchise like I think months before the announcement of six after watching Josh Strife Plays making a video titled was it good armored core which was like one hour long basically kind of describe it as a peak PS1 game so I played it almost finished the first one, but I quit on the last mission because that platform is way too hard on the last mission that I went to play the rest I skip 2 played three played four and some side games or sequels like silent line and last Raven
Ac3 is easily my second most favorite ac game
Also, highly recommend armored core lore top-tier lore videos on the old games and the new one
Great read! Yeah one of my biggest complaints is how forgiving the economy is, especially compared to the original AC. Also shout out to my good friend Armored Core Lore - indeed the greatest

That's the spirit! It's always AC o'clock if you put your heart to it!
I love armored core I just wish I could find ranked matches on xbox
*sees title* i mean i knew this, but why do you feel this?
i wanted special battles and original boss AI. i defeated balteus and ibis before their nerfs but would like those challenges again. balteus is much easier now and ibis is just not as fast.
@@yoyoprofessorxavier Like nods to the past, sort of what they do in AC2 Another Age, that sounds cool!
Really pining for an expansion or at least an official co-op mode of some sort since the mod was fun to mess around with. Good luck if it happens next year though because the beta for MH: Wilds already locked it in for my GOTY.
I'm super excited for mh wilds too, though I think a sequel for AC6 might not be as far away as it might seem!
Yes if you find the game fun why stop playing the meta isnt stale its still developing

Can I do voice over for your videos?
Really humbles me for you to have extended the offer, and I appreciate it a lot! But what was initially a technical constraint has become sort of a brand image using the text to speech voice - and I kinda dig it! Couldnt get into the game, have to retry it at one point
It's fine if it's not for you but do give it a second try, what stopped you the first time around?
The way stagger is implemented still is a bit off from being great, but I like the idea a lot, hopefully they can still rectify it somehow
I can’t I already milked it dry.
Have you tried some modding?
Core gameplay, heh.

Not going to lie you're completely right, at this point we played the game so much it kinda flew over my head that was a major story beat, just took it for granted 😔.
Ac6 was robbed, should have won game of the year 2023 easily.
No part variety, no flairs, hard lock, stagger, and one shot melee combos make Johnny a very dull boy
I don't like mecha
That's a fair point but have you actually tried any Mecha games? Or is it downright and aesthetic thing where you just instantly feel disinterested
@SilverGlint i don't have an interested of Mecha like Gundam but i did play Dynasty Warriors Gundam, because i like Warriors type of games not because it had Gundam on it
@neemojenkins881 well I'll be devil's advocate and say, if you do have some spare time and money do try it out it might just convert you!
Mecha hates you too
I cannot stand AI voiced videos. I'm sorry but that has to be an instant downvote from me.
All good, you're allowed to dislike things!
Dude… cyber punk was next level…
