Legends did the Obi wan story so much better tho that’s the problem. For example, in this show he finds out Vader is alive in the most generic and easy way possible, whereas in the legends story, Darth Vaders name is spread through fear throughout the galaxy due to his unrelenting and brutal pursuit of the remaining Jedi, and Obi Wan hears about this evil, terrifying force known as Darth Vader who basically massacred Kashykk. Obviously he knows that’s Anakin and finding out about him from world of mouth is not only more natural but also makes Vader seem like more of a threat than he already is. Just one example of how legends has a better grasp on storytelling in general
I liked it. Im up for a 2nd series, I would like it if the showrunner took constructive criticism from the 1st series and applied it to the 2nd. I don't think it's perfect but it was a good watch even if its just 1 series. I'm glad Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen returned. Macgregor's wanted to since Revenge. I like the trade federation remix theme. Bet you'd find it on a Battle Droids playlist 🤣
I was a massive Star Wars fan in the 2000s so I should love this but since Disney took over everything is so creatively bankrupt it hurts. Amazing how for such a vast galaxy every single story has Tattoine, Skywalkers and the Empire
I enjoyed it for the most part, I did want to see more Hayden, I wanted more of the grand inquisitor and I wanted less of Reva, overall, the later half of the show really improved.
You hit the nail on the head when you said something along the lines of ‘if you don’t think too hard about it, you’ll love it.’ Sadly that’s my default for all of this stuff now, whether it’s Star Wars or Doctor Who or whatever. It’s easy to be wise after the event, but even so, a lot of the aspects you rightly complain about should never have made the edit. Reva getting run through with a lightsaber, yet still able to get to and take on a tooled up Owen and Beru in the way she did…you don’t need to be wise before OR after the event to call that for what it is. Like you say, best not to think about it 😞
I was a BIG fan. Not a major fan of some parts, but I had a lot of fun with this. And that’s I’m doing now with these franchises. I’m just enjoying what I watch and not taking it too seriously.
Kinda miss the positivity on this channel. Feels like most videos from ‘Star Wars is killing itself’ to ‘the problem with the Cybermen’ and ‘marvel fatigue’ is just whining.

"For every great thing, there's a dumb thing"
sums up the entire Star Wars franchise

I loved the Obi Wan series & can definitely see a second series on the horizon.

Have to say I thought it was superb, keep 'em coming Disney+!

I really enjoyed it, but I definitely prefer The Mandalorian. But no matter what anyone thinks, I think we can all agree Ewan McGregor have it his all

I think they missed a golden opportunity to have included the Duel of the Fates score during the Obi Wan-Vader fights.
Ewan is great as Obi Wan
It’s My Birthday
Wingy can you review every season of Stranger Things?
Coincidentally, I've just started watching it for the first time so once I've finished it, I will!

Well when there's something positive, I'll talk about it.
