The hole in the bonnet is probably for a transponder to record laps when racing. I ran these cars at a club in the 90s and we used to mount our transponders on the underside of the roof with a similar hole and body clip to secure them. It's probably just a stock 540 motor as most ministox clubs required you to run the stock motor and speed controller and usually a 4 cell battery pack. And yeah these thing were surprisingly quick for what they were. A lot of our junior leagues were pretty much full contact too so with the body having to be painted on the outside you could literally trade paint with rivals on track, good times!
Nice. Another great video. I have a vintage Losi LST2 OSMax30VG. No receiver or ESC need 3new servos. I was going to order a new LRP.32 with 4.69HP. 1/8 scale big mother . Front and rear diffs are metal gears. Trans internals are metal gears. Its nice. I got some pics up on my community page. I might need to send it to you. Its like almost s 1/5 scale. Shocks are adjustable half dollar size. 2speed . I just do not think i will ever miss with it. It needs a home were someone will enjoy the awesome engineering and one of the baddest Mt Rc. Back in the day the savage didn’t even have anything for it. Check it out on my community page. If you like it i need to send it along with the upgraded pipe for the carnage .💯🔥👍❤️great video. Love the vintage nitros🫡😝
I did see it on your page, man if they was here I’d be lost for words I’ve always liked those when I’ve seen them in photos. Thanks for the comment mate.
