Which one is you fav? / any other cool ones you dig?
First example was actually really great, I should definitely work on all this. Also that backing track was super pretty. those snares are mad pretty
Oh, I just looped some chords - maybe I'll upload it here too
Gm - Dm penta & Gm - Cm penta sound cool for me
Seriously...you are one of the nicest and most generous of all the tutors here on RUclips.
You give many secrets away for free...that's really gracious of you, man.
Thanks heaps.
Peace broski. ✌️
Oh man, thanks so much!
Im Kinda making vids for myself when i was in high school and wanna just share what I know so people can believe. It's all about seeing we can do it in a way.
Much love
Rotem, I found you through the “Jazz Essentials” vid you did with Paul Davids. My playing tends to “plateau” as I learn, become comfortable (and then life interferes!) -been stuck for a bit, but thanks to you BOTH for your kindness, incredible talent and the way you explain the lessons? I’m PUMPED to start learning again… Thank you!
Hi Rob, that makes me so happy!! Yea! We all gotta work hard 🙏
Dig it. Seems the best thing is not so much the notes played as the notes resolved. Love your sound.
hi i really dig your style of instruction, thank you
Thank you!!
Beautiful. I have never seen this explained so well. Thank you Rotem!
Thanks!! 🤘
This is one of the best and most informative videos I've seen on "how to play out." Thank you for the clarity.
❤️🙏
Dude you have that metheny touch with the legatos very cool
Red one (by Metheny&Scofield) is pure pentatonic, and its brutal
I just listen this track and it is amazing. Thx!
Rotem, been watching all your stuff since the Paul D appearance. Your right hand is ridiculously awesome, maybe a quick video on developing some of that touch....
Coming out tomorrow ❤️
I subscribed a few years back. Back then I cant follow up much, but I can understand better now..seriously all of this need a lot amount practice and desire to improve. Thank you for sharing a lot of your knowledge and experience. Happy New Year 2021, God Bless you and your family and stay safe.
Happy new year! 💙
The delay while beautiful, in a lesson makes it harder to focus what we’re trying to hear
This lesson is just amazing!
❤️❤️❤️
I would like to take in to your mind, man. You seem so aware of everything you do, subscribed and staying for good! ♥️
Thanks brother. I'm trying. We all can
Great acoustics in this one 👍
Thanks :)
Just came across your channel and really enjoying watching your videos . Keep the good work.
Thank you!!
@@RotemSivanGuitar you are very welcome. And we do have a few things in common.
Very Good Job on Istructional ( vdc ) Play Combine ( in - out penta ). Great Sounds and Touch Filling on Guitar Mood. .. Nice One. .. Merry Chriestmas and Happy New Year ... ☺😊😀/💙💙💙/👍👌👏👋
❤️❤️❤️
What is most interesting to me is not
which pentatonic you choose at the moment
but HOW you create "melodic cells",small structures
(consisting of two or four notes)
and then you put them together to create a long solo :>
Would you be willing to talk about it in the next video?
Can i know the background drum beat of this vedio plzzzz. Love your tune. ♥
What kind of guitar is that I love it
seems you were sleepy, take care :)
I was very....
Your playing reminds me of Pat metheny
Hi Rotem, a philosophical question: do you use these concepts only during practise in order to find new sounds and ideas? Or do you actually also think about these theoretical constructions during "real" performance (e.g. concerts)?
More in practice so I can Hear it
when you want relax between all "out shit" mix pentatonics can be a great idea. use a half step above to play outside too
☘️👌
Hi Rotem. love your videos. What model is that whack Gibson? And what did you do to it?
Howard Roberts
Why does Bbm penta work here? I would've expected Bb major penta
Yeah, I have the same question about D pentatonic..
He explains it from 7:10 it's about the tensions.. Bb minor pent highlights the #9 on the dominant chord. Many jazz players will treat a ii V7 as just a V7 and the great thing about a dominant chord is that really ANY note is fair game because it's about creating that tension and then releasing it on the I chord.

אחלה ערוץ👍❤️
תודה!
How are you picking which Pentatonic scale to play over the 2 5 1 progression? Great vids. I just found your channel. Thank :)
yea, many options..
When Italy?
Hi Rotem! Is it also possible to utilize this same concept with other scales? Is it only applicable to minor pentatonic?
You sure can! It's just gonna be very different colors
could you play slow pentatonic for ex pls?
That video is not for us...my friend... xxxaaa
@@dimitrisaivaliotis5616 I think so bro.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think all the arpeggios in any key can use it in a ii v i carefully if you play them fast enough (and are potencially powerfull) mixed with other resources
Lol. True
I kinda agree, I love the guy but... nothing was actually melodic.
What just happened?
lol, what?
Please cut those excessive strings dangle around in headstock, awesome guitar
Dangerous.. truth
I could do without all the mugging.
Yep.
Man, you are awesome and you should make a video with Scott Paul Johnson. Go on man 👍👍👍
That would be cool!
