    Thanks for the walk through. You’re right that there isn’t a lot of content on RUclips on this boat.

    I ran one with a 150 Yamaha, 83 mph fastest 82.7 second fastest, consistent 80-81. With a co- angler (400 lbs) and his gear ran 79 mph. Mind you that was with a 150 STOCK. The xb2003 ran rough chop better that my Ranger 21 ft. You rear storage will house a 6 ft /200 man. You may ask the factory they use to have an Aux tank to give you even more fuel. (I thing it was an 8 gal).

    I have an XB2002, unless you really like turn signal style trim switches, Allison made that steering wheel for up to 3 rocker style switches at your thumb. The rocker thumb switches are much more convenient to trim with, especially when running at high speeds. Darris Allison is a genius, Allison is built better than any other boat on the planet.... 100% hand laid and made. Bill at Allison can tell you everything you want to know about your boat if you give him the hull number. They keep records of every boat they have ever built. Allison can also make anything for that boat. Allison also offers vinyl grey textured flooring that looks like carpet until you get right up to it. It’s better than SeaDek, easier to clean and lighter in weight.

      I’ve been in Allison’s my whole life. My dad is on his 8th one. He’s had several 02s, 03s and now his 3rd XB21. I like the trim style switches a lot more than the thumb switches, it’s really just personal preference though. All of the new Allison’s come with blinker style with the new steering wheels.
      I’ve actually talked to Bill twice about my boat so far and surprisingly they have discontinued just about everything from the 2003s. They don’t offer any of the parts that I need anymore, I have to get them directly from suppliers.

      @@SethLee I have raced XR 2001’s and have my 4th XB2002. Darris Allison will do everything he can to make what you need. They don’t really advertise it, but they have still have the molds for everything that is laid up. Darris Allison will build anything you want if he has the molds, and he doesn’t get rid of molds. I have a later model XB2002 long after people thought they were discontinued. It’s not cheap, but if it can be made at Allison, Darris Allison will make it. Once again, Allison stuff is probably the most expensive, but that’s because it’s worth every penny.

      The XB21s are awesome! I’m currently on the way to Fastbass Marine to pick up my dads new XB21.

    Need an update on this. All my kids love to fish, so I'm looking at the 2+2 or an 03 like yours.

      I love it! I have fished several tournaments and caught lots of fish. It’s also been great for taking friends and family out to the sandbar and bream fishing. I’ve been able to fish in very shallow water with it too. I’ll make a follow up video soon, so keep an eye out!

    Keep that windshield off. It will take 5 mph off of your top speed

    Didn't your old boat go like upper 80's?
    Was dude going wide open when he wrecked your old boat?
    What did he hit? Your old boat didn't handle bad, or at least it didn't look that way in videos

      The Xpress would go upper to mid 70s depending on load. And it didn’t handle bad at all, that thing drove like it was on rails. I’m not sure exactly what the guy did but I do know he went into the woods and hit two trees. How he managed to do that, I have no idea lol

    How long of a rod can you fit in your rod locker? Im here at Fort Rucker.

    • @SethLee
      @SethLee  2 года назад

      The rod locker goes all the way to the very tip of the boat. I have a 7’11” rod that still has a couple of feet of space left. It should easily be able to fit any bass fishing rods

    36V trolling motor is overkill for a boat that light.

    • @SethLee
      @SethLee  2 года назад +2

      When you fish the kind of current I fish, it’s definitely not overkill. I was on the river literally two weeks ago and had the trolling motor on 10 and it couldn’t pull the current. It could barely keep me still.
