This is an excellent boat and hull. I have ran several several hulls: couple champions, gambler, skeeters, rangers, legend, basscat, pheonixes , bullet, nitro, stratos and a few I'm forgetting. The point is, in my opinion, the new XB21 has it all. Set up is important, but quality build and performance goest to this hull. By far them most efficient on the water. It fishes extremely stable, it handles running rough water wave faces the best, It corners unbelievable better than the Champions I ran. Its storage is an open concept with bulk storage in mine . I like that as you decide how to configure. This is the funniest 30mph to 60mph spirited, responsive and agile ride in the business. Yes it runs significantly faster but if you are tour guy it's a dream come true in efficiency. Great great hull. I have had this boat in giant waves and in ugly chop. Will get another. Good first time owner walk through. I think over time you really get to appreciate the performance.

Thanks for the kind words ! I’m truly blessed. I waited almost 15yrs before buying another boat and did my homework. There are some great boats out there and the Allison isn’t for everyone. But like o said, for the way I fish and the places I fish, there were only a few boats to really consider. The Allison does so much well, and the build quality and hull are light years ahead of other boats. Any 2000lb hull is going to ride decent, but this thing rides awesome and has the agility of a jet ski. Thanks for watching. We do have more content coming, but the AquaTraction business has taken off so RUclips has taken a back seat.

Beautiful boat! Allisons are made about 30 miles from me and have always been known for their speed and quality. I like everything about them except for the width of the front deck. I run a Triton 21HP which is one of the faster Tritons and the front deck is narrow compared to most boats made today. I've gotten use to it but will probably go with a wider boat next time around. If it were mostly me fishing, the Allison would be hands down the boat I would buy but my wife goes with me almost everytime and she would not like the passenger rod storage on the XB21. My rig is 11 years old now so we're starting to look and she always looks at her side rod storage first. We're probably another year away from a new boat, not sure yet which one we'll get yet but the Allison sure has some great features. I know one thing she would like and that's the consoles. Talking about keeping out of the wind. Great rig, look forward to more videos on the Allison!

Thanks ! It’s not the boat for everyone, but it does everything damn well. If I wasn’t a speed junkie to a degree, I’d definitely go with a wider boat. Where I live we get some pretty rough water and I love how the boat responds. Some of the wider BassCats are great boats, if I was wanting wider, I’d look at a cat for sure !

That boat with a 250 Pro XS and the right prop will run 88-90mph no problem. Learn to trim it. That textured inside is leather like and it’s a sign of how damn great Allison keeps their molds! Ken Smith bought a Bass Cat that is chopper gunned for the first layer of glass… NOT Hand laid! I have an XB2002 and driven several Allison’s over 110mph. Ken Smith doesn’t have a great depth of knowledge about bass boats, he doesn’t know hand laid quality vs chopper gunned glass. He also was a Ranger guy for years. Ranger hasn’t been hand laid since the early 1990’s. Allison is the absolute best built, followed by Bullet and Storm. Storm uses an old Allison GT-20 hull that Darris let them use. It’s worth saying that Forrest L. Wood got his first V hull from Darris Allison. When driving, keep left hand pressure and let it go to the right when needed, Allison’s have bow lift built in to the bottom. The side to side chine movement can be cancelled with seat time.

@@ohiorectec6055 Great video, it’s amazing to me as someone who’s been into outboard boating and racing for 30 years that little is known about all of the innovations that Darris Allison and his Dad Paul have brought in to the industry. They invented the pad that all V hulled bass boats use, cupped prop, Jack plate, and many other firsts. Storm makes a good boat, but it is balsa wood cored, so is Bullet. Allison also uses an alloy transom grid that continues on to almost the rear of the console seats. Darris is an engineering savant. I saw Ken Smith’s videos and him talking about the leather texture on the interior finish, he thought it was plastic, it is literally in the mold! Every bit of texture or ribbing in the top deck adds strength to the layup. Flat glass and resin aren’t as as strong as a ribbed or textured surface.

Allison boats are amazing, and I’ve waited over a decade to make this happen. So when I want boat shopping, my list only consisted of the top 3-4 boats I would even consider. Honestly, if I didn’t buy the Allison, the Blazer 625 Pro elite would be my next choice. I’ve Already seen the new IKON 21 that’s coming out and although. Interesting in some ways, I’d rather not be involved in a first year rig.

@@ohiorectec6055 Bass Cat actually acquired a Champion mold to produce a model with that bottom. Rick Pierce at BC Boats is a great guy, but he will even tell you that there wouldn’t be any modern bass boat design today if it weren’t for Darris Allison. The pad V was a huge invention by Allison in the 1950’s. Your boat is beautiful! It should be the envy of anyone you run into on the lake or at the boat ramp. I’m glad you didn’t fall into the Ranger, Triton, Skeeter, Phoenix, Nitro, or mass produced boat trap! The reason so many pros fish those boats is because they’re free or at little to no cost to them. Allison’s are too valuable to just give away. The man hours that goes into hand laying and hand building everything is expensive. That’s why you’re boat hull weighs probably 1200 pounds compared to 2100 to 2200 pounds the others weigh. You can go a lot farther than them on less gas in addition to much faster.

I had the exact same view of all the boats you mentioned. I’ve actually fished out of them all and found that’s NOT the case. They ride awesome, but you have to understand, you don’t trim down and plow the waves. You ride on top of most stuff. And since they’re light, they’re responsive as hell, making rough water much easier to deal with. It all depends on what you want out of a boat. If you’re a fan of WIDE boats, then yes, any fast boat will not suit you. Buy these FAST boats have a secret. They’re light and float in NOTHING, and don’t get hung on stumps. That means accessing water other boats can’t. The bullet 21Xd hull is nearly unsurpassed in my opinion on Kentucky lake when it’s RAGING and even Lake Erie / lake St. Claire. I’ll be testing the Allison on Lake Erie this year.

@Ohio Rec & Tec yeah I was sponsored by Charger through Brooks Marine and Mercury but those days have come and gone and it's sad how Charger lost all their dealerships I know the 296 first Gen hull caused the lose of my dealership because it was my boat that caused the demise of it all.
I run on my own dime now and am 100 times the fisherman I once was and I was pretty good in the day. Even beat a few guys like Edwin Evers, Toyota series and others but it's the fish you have to beat and when a divorce and money run out game over. Back to boats I bought my first Boat after 21 yr lay off and it was a Nitro Z-19 Pro with tandem axle trailer Atlas hydraulic jack plate loaded Ultrex 80 I-pilot with remote 8 inch Humminbirds $49,749 out the door I added a Garmin 1022 panoptix this boat is now $60k plus for 2023 and they have change the touch pad to 5 inch touch screen and went with Lowrance, a $10k or more jump in price in 2 yrs that's crazy. I bought a 2022 Ranger 520R because of the price jumps over 2023. I can honestly say I loved the Z-19 the 200 Merc got great fuel mileage and hold more then the Ranger 520R ran 67mph heavily loaded. My Ranger 520R rides better then any boat I have ever owned but it is also the longest boat and widest I ever owned. Technically a 21 foot boat. 72mph top end
I think if I were to do it all over again I would load out a Nitro Z-20 with a 225 Mercury and use all my money on lithium batteries, sea clear harness and electronics, no power poles because I have never had them so I don't know what I'm missing but if I lived in Florida yes I would have them. I have not found myself shallow enough to use the consistently.
The Triton 20 footer would be my second pick but it lacks a 50 gallon plus fuel tank like the Nitro it has 44 gallon capacity. I have never liked Nitro or Ranger but I would say they have come along ways especially the R series Ranger.

Lol. Great question ! Actually, If you’ve watched the other videos, my son Luke is a big part of the channel and when you make a purchase of this magnitude, the wife must be consulted !

What tight spaces are you going to be in that it’s really gonna matter. By the way nice hot? Fanboy!

    That’s a promax prop not a bravo.

You may be correct. We swapped out props several times after adding the power poles and I honestly would have to remove it to be sure which one we ended up running

      @@ohiorectec6055 it’s 100% a promax prop. I run one on my bullet/300r sometimes.

Beautiful boat. Sure gonna let it age fast and look bad with no wipe downs. Poor rig

Thanks for watching! Sleep well knowing it was cleaned and shortly after this video, it went to Allison for a full detail to be on display at the 2023 Bassmaster Classic for FastBass Marine.

Over $100k - have you lost your ever loving mind?

    • @ohiorectec6055
      @ohiorectec6055  Год назад

Lol. No. 8yr old used boats of this caliber are over $70k with 400hrs on them and if you finance, the interest rates on used at the time was 8%. So a $100k boat at 4% was the same payment as a used boat with no warranty and a looming power head replacement ($12k) or lower unit ($9k). So I’m the end the potential for a used boat to cost more than new was a real factor. Unless you’re shopping the $25k range.

We’ll get to the on the water stuff this year. I wanted to actually learn the boat to speak honestly about it. And provide some real speed numbers.

It's a race boat that boat is layed out beter than they used to be onn reason It's not friendly to weight in the rear is it was originally designed for 2 stroke h/ p outboards and 4 stroke outboards are heaver

Add to that the lithium’s up front and the balance point changes. I’ve found with high performance boats that weight distribution goes a long way with high speed drivability.
