    Enjoyed every bit of content. You probably made a video about this, but I just wanted to find out how you got into the green industry and the path to becoming a fertilizer applicator. I'm looking to figure this out during winter break in my state of Virginia and talked to the local figures. I don't got experience as far as working in a golf course or trugreen (or for us Virginia Green), but I sure love the more "technical" side beside the traditional cut,blow, and edge. Plus, technically higher profit margins than just cutting grass. Thanks

      This all started because I loved golf lol. Started playing when I was about 8 years old I lived and breathed it played high school golf then got recruited to play college golf. Sadly I tore my acl my senior year of high school got it rehabbed enough to play high school regionals and I won it. Done committed to a small college which I picked because they offered turfgrass management and I knew I wanted to do something related to golf. Went to college for turfgrass management while I was in college started an internship there and done that until I had my degree and stayed at that course and worked my way up to assistant. Unfortunately after being in the turf industry for a while and the hours were extreme with not great pay I left it. Now I could have definitely moved on to a nicer area with more pay but I had just met my future wife to be about 1 year prior to me getting out of the industry and moving off wasn’t a option then so I got out of it. To answer your question about applicator license it’s different in each state but here in NC you just sign up and pay and go take the test that’s it or that’s how it was way back when I done it. I do definitely miss doing it that’s why I do this here at my house but I definitely don’t miss the hours involved along with the pay at the time this was back in late 90s through about 2005. I’m sure the pay is much better now but I guarantee you the hours are still extreme!

    I live in Massachusetts. My neighbors' KGB lawns stay green longer into winter and green up faster in the spring than my TTTF lawn. Thanks for your channel, your videos are bound to catch on as your content is top notch.

      I can totally see this. My kbg is growing like crazy right now where the fescue has slowed down a lot already

    Hey man your grass looks very good. Especially that KBG. I’m in Bushkill Pennsylvania where for the last 3 weeks we been no higher than 30 degrees f. Plus 2 snow falls. And I gotta say the tall fescue I seeded on my renovation is still holding its color strong. Very impressed. I hope next season my lawn looks just as beautiful as yours

    Keep at it, love your content. I think it's just that time of the year for most lawn content creators. I really think it takes a while for something to really hit and go viral and the views will come. You bring a different aspect I think to the lawn content and will keep on watching every video.

    Would like to see a winter video about the fertilizers you use and why. I think you did these in the past and they were helpful.

    keep at it! I watch your content and pick up things. I would really like to know how did you come about buying your property and do you plan to keep a such a large yard as you get older? I would like to know as I am past 45 and would love to have a property like you and Pete. But it may not be realistic as I get older. 😄😄

      I didn’t buy the property this land has been my family’s since early 1900s this was my grandparents house and farm. I grew up here my mom is next door which I moved away for several years. My dad passed away in 2017 so I moved back to help my mom and moved in my grandparents house. I’m 44 it gets harder everyday to keep up I actually keep up about 4 acres but my lawn and beds get the majority of the attention and I will do it as long as I can!

      🙏 I’ve also had very mild weather up until this application last few days have been lows in the low to mid 20s with 2 nights next week going to be teens so it’s about to fade real fast!

    Enjoy all the informative videos! 1 silly question for u, what makes 46-0-0 different than gci 30-0-0? Just more nitrogen?

    • @Primetime_Fescue
      @Primetime_Fescue  2 месяца назад +1

      46-0-0 would be straight Urea. The Gci is 30-0-0 and it’s Urea and AMS which AMS straight is 21-0-0

    Hi, your lawn looks amazing. I'm in maryland and I notice the lawn has a slight yellowing in some areas. I hope it's the temperature (30s at night) and not something major. Your thoughts.

    • @Primetime_Fescue
      @Primetime_Fescue  Месяц назад +1

      More than likely it’s just the colder temps. Mine is turning a bit yellow from the temps and rain which is very common

    What type of fertilizer do you use for slow release for the spring, summer and fall?

    • @Primetime_Fescue
      @Primetime_Fescue  2 месяца назад +1

      I use a Nutrite 21-0-16 it’s 58% slow

    • @timbrown2139

      @Primetime_Fescue is that a granular or liquid fertilizer? And, where do you get it from?

    • @Primetime_Fescue
      @Primetime_Fescue  2 месяца назад +1

      That’s a granular. I use liquid also which is a 18-3-4 plantfood company. Unfortunately you would have to find a dealer for both. I’m just lucky I have a dealer here local for both.
