OK I have the solution my Astros weren’t connecting to party chat and for everyone who’s trying to figure out how to fix it I got you. When you open the box 1st thing you do.. Go to the Astro website scroll all the way down and click software then go down till you see Astro command center then click download it asks for PC or Mac are used Mac but I heard it doesn’t matter which you choose, Then once it downloads Click the link and It will ask you To plug in your device so plug in the micro USB into your mixamp the other end of the USB into your computer And mine made me put it on PC and to do so you just flip the switch on top of the mixamp, What is complete it’ll pop up the volume controls to which you can adjust I kept mine preset once you adjust them or leave it the way it is On top it should say click firmware to update you click that and once it’s done you unplug it. Next step hook up the Optical cable to the console and the Mixamp, The USB to the console The wire for your headset now there’s two wins the longer end with four black lines needs to go into the headset the one with three goes into the mixamp. When you turn on your Xbox Go to Xbox accessories and what you want to do is update the firmware it should pop up because it senses the new mixamp, Once you update it should link your controller to the headset, now last step And this is the one that took me forever to figure out Click the Button to power the Xbox (on the actual console) And hold it down for 10 seconds this reboot the Xbox then before turning it back on unplug the power to the Xbox then plug it back in turn on the Xbox and everything should work just fine. YOU'RE WELCOME
OKAY IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK DO THIS- 1) download update from astro command center and make sure your mixamp is in pc mode when you connect it to your laptop/computer. Make sure the side of the cord for your headset that has 3 black rings goes in the headset side 2) make sure you have it usb plugged into the back of xbox for me it only works in the middle port that accepts usb. 3) all cables must be fully plugged in. 4) THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT. HARD RESET YOUR XBOX. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE YOUR AUX PORT AT ALL TO MAKE IT WORK. You do not need to plug anything into your controller. 5) Once you are booted back up after the reset it should recognize your headset. Make sure you flip the switch back into xbox mode after your pc update. You can use your aux port for auxing music now and still use a mic simultaneousy. This should do it!
I've just bought the astro a40 tr with mixamp and when I talk it makes a buzzing sound. If i turn off mic side tone will that get rid of it? I think it's just ridiculous that they do this at such a high price of £250

If the noise isolator comes with a 3 pole aux cord originally. Would the 4 pole aux cord still work on the noise isolator even though it was originally made for 3 pole. Or do.i need to get a noise isolator with 4pole noise isolator. Hope you can understand my question.

I had the ground loop buzz for ages with this device and solved it by removing the AUX from the system all together. I have the USB going to the PC and optical going to the PS4 and it's all happy days, sound and mic both working.

Any idea why I the Mixamp pro voice/game volume dial does the same as the Volume dial. When I turn it to voice it turns down all volume including voice. When I turn it more towards game it increases all the volume.

I have heard of this problem. The only fix that I have seen people do is try a new aux cable they are $10 on Astro (I have bought 3 of them) and if that don't work take the headset back! Sorry i know it sucks to have a expensive product and them not work!

I just bought this headset yesterday and I’m already having a squeaky noise problem and haven’t found any sort of way of resolving it. It only occurs when I’m playing games on my xbox one. Having a similar issue. Set it up just as you said with updates but still get that clicking noise in the left earmuff. Headset is connect via the front headphone jack. And still have hollow sounding audio. Any thoughts?
I have an issue maybe it’s firmware with it. But I have it connected to a Xbox series s through the front usb port. Have it set up and everything, but every time I shut it off, go to boot it up again and play my headphones go into a low volume mode. Hey Valor, we just got the A40 and downloaded the command center. There is nothing that pops up to allow for the firmware update. Both updates at launch and check firmware automatically are on. PLEASE HELP!

I had a struggle too! I keep getting buzz still even with a ground loop isolator. Do I need a Amazon one specifically? And how do I get it so I can turn on my Xbox and have it on my monitor without having to turn on my pc and all that so the connection links with my elgato. Like if I don’t wanna stream.
Great video. I am getting a ‘popping’ noise after around 3 weeks of using the a40’s and I can’t figure out how to fix it. I have tried multiple 35mm cables.
I just bought the a40s and had to get an hdmi adapter because I have a ps5. The sound is good on it but I tried talking to friends in a party and they said the mic keeps cutting out. Do you know why this is happening? I just spent $300 on this and it’s really annoying that the only thing that doesn’t work is the voice chat.

Did you find a fix? I’ve just got the headset and have the same issue, I’ve been advised to buy a ground loop isolator to get rid of the buzzing noise.. also if you hook the mix amp up to your pc you can download a command centre through the Astro website, there is an option on there called side noise if you turn that down to a quarter it will fix the issue for you but not for your friends when in party chat, for that apparently you need a ground loop isolator I’ve just bought one! Pretty bad service for £300 set up if you ask me..
I recently bought these for the PS4. I have all the setting as it recommends but when I speak, my friends say they hear a buzzing noise as I’m talking. Any tips or would I need to buy the noise isolator?
So only your friends hear it, are you using the mix amp to stream too? If its just you party chat it sounds like a mic issue which in this case the isolator will not help.

Also when I go to the adjust microphone setting on the ps4 to listen to the voice feedback. The buzzing is there only when I speak. I think I’m going to return them for a new set. When I plug my mixamp into the pc, it does not give me an option to update the firmware. I’ve tried uninstalling the command center multiple times. Wont work. When I plug my mixamp into the Xbox, and go to the command center on the Xbox, it says I need a firmware update. I’ve tried to make this mixamp work for weeks. Hours and hours looking for a solution to the MULTIPLE problems I have. Nothing. This is ridiculous lol
A lot of it depends on what headset you have plugged up to it, I have the Astro 40 and they are amazing!! My previous headset was the turtle beach 700 stealth and the Astros blow them out of the water!! But the mix amp has very customizable noise frequencies that you can adjust to anything or any game and then at the same time it has a actual hardware knob where you can turn up and down volume great for streamers!!
Yes Astro sell one but I think they are out of stock now. It’s A HDMI to optical cable pass through. PS5 has no optical port on the back but other companies do sell them.

Once you save the setting on the command app it saves on your Mixamp pro so all you have to do is unplug from pc and plug it into your ps4 and your good to go!
There's no button to update firmware to version 36797 (current version is 34324). How do i fix this? A $250 headset shouldn't be this difficult to set up, about to take it back. Please help!
I'm gonna test this tomorrow. I just switched to pc and the mixamp won't change volume for game or chat. It's like just another volume dial. I have latest firmware. But I use the star instead of dolby atmos. I hope it works tomorrow. In 2 days will be 30 days of purchase I can still return it lol

Dear Sir, I bought Mix amp Pro Tr my PC. I have watched a video on you tube and followed the instructions about installation. I am using Logitech G Pro headset with it. But I think there are still some settings which are missing in my PC. I am saying this because one of my friend is using Mix amp on his PS4 and the sound quality is far much better on his setup than mine. Please guide me how can i improve the sound quality by changing my PC settings.

My Astro A40 Mixamp TR works but the PlayStation doesn’t recognize the mixamp. I can’t change settings or anything due to that. I tried command center, it won’t connect either and I’m on PC mode too.
I honestly don't know what the difference between PlayStation and Xbox is for the mixamp, but i think you have to go into your PS setting and change something for it to work properly.. Xbox automatically finds the mixamp

youre best off just getting an external mic anyway. sounds a lot better than shitty astro mic

I have never heard of this problem and definitely should not be happening. If it keeps doing it i would return the Mixamp

I had a struggle too! I keep getting buzz still even with a ground loop isolator. Do I need a Amazon one specifically? And how do I get it so I can turn on my Xbox and have it on my monitor without having to turn on my pc and all that so the connection links with my elgato. Like if I don’t wanna stream.
Great video. I am getting a ‘popping’ noise after around 3 weeks of using the a40’s and I can’t figure out how to fix it. I have tried multiple 35mm cables.
My cable they sent me is messed up as well. My whole left ear with go in and out if i dont have the mute switch on the cable pushed a certain way

I just bought the a40s and had to get an hdmi adapter because I have a ps5. The sound is good on it but I tried talking to friends in a party and they said the mic keeps cutting out. Do you know why this is happening? I just spent $300 on this and it’s really annoying that the only thing that doesn’t work is the voice chat.

Did you find a fix? I’ve just got the headset and have the same issue, I’ve been advised to buy a ground loop isolator to get rid of the buzzing noise.. also if you hook the mix amp up to your pc you can download a command centre through the Astro website, there is an option on there called side noise if you turn that down to a quarter it will fix the issue for you but not for your friends when in party chat, for that apparently you need a ground loop isolator I’ve just bought one! Pretty bad service for £300 set up if you ask me..

I recently bought these for the PS4. I have all the setting as it recommends but when I speak, my friends say they hear a buzzing noise as I’m talking. Any tips or would I need to buy the noise isolator?
So only your friends hear it, are you using the mix amp to stream too? If its just you party chat it sounds like a mic issue which in this case the isolator will not help.
@@ValorGaming12 I don’t stream. I only use it it when I’m gaming. But yeah, my friends say every time I talk, theres a buzzing noise in the background. Also when I go to the adjust microphone setting on the ps4 to listen to the voice feedback. The buzzing is there only when I speak. I think I’m going to return them for a new set. I have everything the mixamp amd the hdmi thing for my ps5 so if i do command center on the headset and bring it back to ps5 will it still work? like all the adjustments i made on the pc command center
When I plug my mixamp into the pc, it does not give me an option to update the firmware. I’ve tried uninstalling the command center multiple times. Wont work. When I plug my mixamp into the Xbox, and go to the command center on the Xbox, it says I need a firmware update. I’ve tried to make this mixamp work for weeks. Hours and hours looking for a solution to the MULTIPLE problems I have. Nothing. This is ridiculous lol
Is the sound quality without the mixamp good for warzone?
A lot of it depends on what headset you have plugged up to it, I have the Astro 40 and they are amazing!! My previous headset was the turtle beach 700 stealth and the Astros blow them out of the water!! But the mix amp has very customizable noise frequencies that you can adjust to anything or any game and then at the same time it has a actual hardware knob where you can turn up and down volume great for streamers!!
But to simply answer your question yes they are great for Warzone that’s mainly all I play right now

Yes Astro sell one but I think they are out of stock now. It’s A HDMI to optical cable pass through. PS5 has no optical port on the back but other companies do sell them.

Quick question does the command app customs setting go on ur ps4 when on ps4 mode or u have to use the mix amp to adjust for the ps4 mode?
Once you save the setting on the command app it saves on your Mixamp pro so all you have to do is unplug from pc and plug it into your ps4 and your good to go!

There's no button to update firmware to version 36797 (current version is 34324). How do i fix this? A $250 headset shouldn't be this difficult to set up, about to take it back. Please help!

They released a manual update on Reddit yesterday. That's what I ended up using. So much easier
I'm gonna test this tomorrow. I just switched to pc and the mixamp won't change volume for game or chat. It's like just another volume dial. I have latest firmware. But I use the star instead of dolby atmos. I hope it works tomorrow. In 2 days will be 30 days of purchase I can still return it lol

But I think there are still some settings which are missing in my PC. I am saying this because one of my friend is using Mix amp on his PS4 and the sound quality is far much better on his setup than mine.

Question, I bought these a few days ago. The first day everything was working fine as far as the knobs on the mixamp, the next day when I downloaded the command center I got a message saying I needed to update the firmware and after I updated it the mixamp knobs weren't working. Any suggestion on how to fix this? Cause I've looked everywhere and I haven't found a solution. I'm on Xbox if that helps.
I have never heard of this happening... when you say not working they just won’t turn up and down or it’s not showing if the amp is muted

You probably downloaded the Astro C40 (controller) command center. You need to download the A40/50 command center.

My Astro A40 Mixamp TR works but the PlayStation doesn’t recognize the mixamp. I can’t change settings or anything due to that. I tried command center, it won’t connect either and I’m on PC mode too.
I honestly don't know what the difference between PlayStation and Xbox is for the mixamp, but i think you have to go into your PS setting and change something for it to work properly.. Xbox automatically finds the mixamp
