I saw a lot of reviewers recommending this one after the insane $1800 Sennheiser HD 800S (amazing sound, but has no mic). I was looking for a new headset and I'm SO glad I picked these. I found a Reddit post with some EQ settings for the MixAmp Pro for Gen3 and Gen4 and it really lets the sound shine on these.

Right on, glad you're loving the newest A40. Yeah the thing with frequency response it's it's a bit of an underhanded marketing tactic, because the range of human hearing is only 20 Hz - 20 kHz and most people can't even hear the far ends of those. @@sharpshooterr4919 Oh, I forgot about this. I love them. The Dolby surround is as stated a bit weird and tinny. This is awesome and very helpful! So many people review stuff and can't explain the audio experience in detail. I'm picking up the A40 to finally have something decent. I use "Still Dre" to test my sound quality lol
True. The dolby mode on the mixamp isn't too good. Optical solution on PS5/XSX definitely had folks troubleshoot more to regain EQ settings on it. Dolby access app kinda helps to get some equalizer settings in place.
the fact that the a40 is open back style while the a50 is closed back is all one needs to know as far as performance. the a40 will be a better sounding headset especially in terms of directional audio every single time. This is because the sound stage is so so SOOOO much larger. It offers a sound so much more natural. its like actually being there. The Immersion is so much better. Still the best option is a pair of true open back headphones with a mod mic. a 100$ set of open backs will perform better than any 300$ gaming headset by any brand. That being said I love the a40s and just wanted to include my 2 cents as i believe the open back style is a point worth mentioning.
Thanks, I really want to make one, had one planned... But I don't know how I can get it any views :( "Best headsets" is such a crowded keyword, feelsbad.
My mix amp is amazing. If you use the eq settings properly, especially in warzone, you can hear every footsteps etc. It makes the biggest difference if you know what you're doing with it.
I have the gen3 A50s. While I they don't turn off instantly when perfectly vertical, the auto off feature has saved me when I was in a rush and left them on the bed without turning them off. The issue I have with the A50s is interference. I live in an apartment complex so I get a lot of interference from neighbors using wifi and other devices. When this happens, the A50s completely lose connection to the base station. This happens usually in the worst time of a match. It does come back in as soon as possible, which sometimes is instantly, other times it could be out for 5 to 10 seconds which is eternity when the last thing you heard was gunfire nearby.
I think the craziest thing about the older a40 TR(before Logitech buyout) is that I got mine in 2015….i have a toddler that loves messing with my stuff and I have a replacement a40 headset that I use and that friend got it in 2015 as well.
I have the old 2015 Astros that I still use today and was looking at getting the new replacement for it since the one that I have now is aged SO badly and been glued together twice now, but for 8 years it's working just fine, other then the rubber is had it's day and whatnot. Needs to be replaced.
So I ordered the mixamp pro to connect the stream aux to my capture device and get game chat recorded. I have the m80 but it has mini hdmi, so have to get game chat from tv which ruins game/voice control. Which is essential when needing to clutch and people wont stop talking. A couple points youd missed.
I have already bought the a40 + mixamp for 1 week, unfortunately as you describe the microphone is really bad no clear sound also too much bass and no sharp tones at all. I do not understand why they put such a bad microphone on a premium headset. I say u honestly my previous headset is the Razer BlackShark V2 X Gaming Headset (retail price €54) this microphone is really much better than on the astro a 40. Now the experience I have with the sound of both movies game and music the astro a40 is real unbelievably good. I've never had a headset with this beautiful sound. Now there is a solution to possibly connect a better microphone to it.I can't stream with this bad mic sound. ps : you are the first reviewer on the astro a40 + mixamp who is really very honest about all the + s and negatives about this headset
True, I think it's a problem of physics and cost really. Almost every gaming headset mic (including the BlackShark V2 X) is really bad imo. The only mic I've heard that doesn't suck is the Corsair HS80, but I still haven't used it myself. They try to keep the form factor of the mics slim and small, but this means they have extremely small capsules that hurts the sound. And the parts are just cheap overall. You could buy replacement mics from HyperX for like $10 last year. Even Blue microphone made the Blue Icepop mic or something for the A40 and there's the mod kit mic for it as well. But they're both bad too. Maybe one day, gaming headsets will have good mics, but for now only studio/broadcast headsets seem to have legit ones.
Great video 👍👍 i got the A40 and i was planing to buy the A50 also but if the A40 are a lil bit better i won't buy the A50...thanks for the video 💪🏽💪🏽👍👍
Already have the A50 but came here to see if its worth buying the A40 TR or getting a new base station for my xbox series x. The turn off for me is the mic turn off that can fail, they're wired, the back ground cut off and having to put about $150 to get them. Like I could try my chances with the mic and if it breaks I can call customer support, I already have to use a wired A10 (left cushion is gone.....) so used to it, the mic audio seems fine on streamer mode when you showed, and my A50 look pretty old at this point (mic doesn't stay in place, paint peel and skin and oil on cushions).... Also the A50..... omg yea that auto turn off by having them tilted, tilts me lol I just wanna listen to some beats while laying down....need to fix that in later models. Its cool....as a power saver option I also like to point out the A50 has some weird connection problems sometimes. One moment it says its decently charged, the next it does a pop sound and then I have to recharge them. They still work fine just don't know if spending a extra $50 and having more pairs of headsets in my room is worth the buying of A40.
My A50s died after the first week. They just wouldn't charge as far as sound quality I believe my astro40s with the Amp pro are definitely a bit louder. I play on series X that might have something to do
I’ve owned both. To be quite honest, the A40’s are amazing. The A50’s, not so much. I had so many issues with the A50’s. Despite costing a lot more, the audio is slightly worse with A50’s versus the A40’s. And the mic is nothing special either, not what you would expect from an expensive headset anyways. A40’s are cheaper and honestly a lot better. I just wish the A50’s could simply be bluetooth. It has this base station and needs to use that otherwise it doesn’t work, which is really dumb. A true wireless headset shouldn’t need to connect to your ps5, xbox, or pc with a usb cord just to work lol. Kind of disappointed with them. After a while I just switched back to my 40’s, ole reliable. And they are so much better. Edit: I should also add that directional audio is certainly better in the 40’s. When playing dead by daylight I can hear exactly where the enemy’s footsteps are. With the A50’s it was much harder to tell. At least in my experience.
I have had the Astro A50 Gen 4 since its release in 2019 and I can definitely say I have never encountered a problem with the self-turn-off. However, some problems I have encountered over the years are slim. 1. Sometimes they will randomly not want to play audio, and the fix to that is just turning them off place on the base station unplugging them plugging them in, and turning them back on; that usually fixes it... if not you have to reset them with a button or something i can't remember been a while. 2. The other problem that I have is that the battery life has decreased quiet a lot as off just recently and is very annoying. I haven't tested how much it depleted but it definitely isn't the 15 hrs or something they claim... but id still say thats pretty decent for 5 almost 6 years.
What a great review, I decided to pass on the astros both versions. I love had the a40 years ago and wanted to see if I wanted them again but maybe not. Especially at those prices
Hey sir thank you for the 26 min full review 💝 one question please i bought the astro a40 and i think is not as loud as i expected from my previous hyperx headphones you think if i buy the amplifier will change anything thank you again for the effort 💝
To me it sounds maybe 10% louder, but not a drastic difference. The MixAmp isn't really that strong. A different amp (like the on with the Nova Pro but it's not sold separately) would be more useful than the MixAmp.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews i have a startech audio external sound card 7.1 i connect it to that i get some extra power maybe 10-15% but astro command cant find the headphones on my pc cause its connected to the startech card its weird but i think without astrocommandstation i can be fine
I've had many issues with the a50 4th gen, the mic wont turn on, the headset has to be hard reset almost everytime i use it, sometimes the charging base messes up and wont charge the headset, I had the a40 gen 3 now i've bought the a40 gen 4 and I really like it.
You say that fake surround is trash which is fair. However, what is your opinion regrading spatial audio formats such as Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic, and DTS Sound Unbound?
As far as I know, all three of those are virtual surround sound. Same with DTS Headphone:X. Any time the surround sound is just a toggle that you can switch on and off that's supposed to work with headphones, I consider all to be gimmicks. I say this because I have a surround sound system with 5 speakers and a subwoofer. The 7.1 and 5.1 surround sound audio that movies are encoded with play different sounds to different speakers. That effect just can't be replicated with filters designed for headphones.
Hey brotha. I got a gen 3 a40 mix amp for about 6 years now. No complaints they work amazing. I just copped the a50 gen 4 and I really don’t notice much difference. My question is do I really need the a50s if the sound quality is almost identical. Practically paid 250 just to make my headphones wireless it feels like
Nice and honest review, you earned a sub, plus can i ask you how they compare to "non gaming" headphones like sennheiser or akg? I've read that they are much superior to gaming headphones even to astros wich are one of the best gaming headhpones
I play nothing but WarZone and i been through about 10 headsets in a year trying to find the perfect one for me. I went ahead and got the A40s with mixamp with the plans on returning them cause they're so expensive but i ended up keeping them. I don't know if it's the A40s themselves or the mixamp, or the preset i put in mixamp for better accurate sound location but it's the 1st time ever I'm able to recognize if a enemy is running around above me or below me or same level floor as me. I just ordered the cloud alphas to connect to the mixamp to see if I get the same accurate sound.
Wow, 10 is a lot. Update on how that goes with the Alpha. I used my Alpha with the MixAmp and the biggest benefit for me was the presets you can make (plus it gets a bit louder).
A refurbished A50 with a mixamp and ps5 adapter is the same exact price as the refurbished A40 TR with a mix amp and ps5 adapter on Astros website lol idk if they did that by mistake but its hilarious seeing how the same two when brand new have a $80 difference..
I bought the Astro A40 headphones with the mixamp with same day shipping. Now I need to figure out if I have to buy the Astro HDMI adapter or if any cheap HDMI adapter will work for my ps5. I'm hoping any HDMI adapter will work because the HDMI adapter made by Astro looks overpriced & shipping is 4+ days.
My A50 GEN 4’s have this high pitch ringing or buzzing that’s constantly there in the left driver and will not go away no matter what I do. I see I’m not the only one this has happened to after looking through Reddit and some other forums. Going to return for a new pair and if I have the same issue I don’t think I’ll be using any Logitech products anytime soon
Hey question bro, can both of the headsets turn down in game warzone chat in just the headsets itself rather than in game. I stream and want the chat audio to stay loud in my stream. Lmk thanks🤙🏽
Just tested to make sure, and yeah it just affects the volume in the headset. You can still hear the volume the same level in OBS and adjust the volume your stream hears there.
Hello man, i've been watching like all of your videos about headsets reviews, and it helped me a lot. I have a question about the A40: i saw a lot of people on internet saying that you NEED to use the opctical cable on pc to get the best experience, and my pc doesn't have an optical port, so I want to know your opnion about this. Othre point is that people are really saying that the mixamp is a "must need", but i want to know you opnion too if it changes the sound, the mic, or no (i will use it most on PC), because the version without it is much more cheap. I'm looking for a headset with good audio quality, decent mic and durability, so that i dont need to change it every year, because I live in Brazil, and good headsets here are very expensive. Finally, I just want to make a suggestion for the channel: try to make a rank with the products that you have tested, it would be interesting to see, since you have tested a lot of differente products. Sorry about the big text and questions. Your reviews are awsome, thank you!
Not sure who said that about the optical cable, but you don't need it for PC. It's only useful for console because game/chat mix doesn't work through just USB on PS4 and PS5. Astro says the same on their subreddit. MixAmp opinion is the same as in this video. It makes audio louder than an average motherboard can and is convenient. I have a ranking it's here: ruclips.net/user/postUgkxnAM3Qy4Pk3Fjviq_XfpvRzoIYe1iOM0b
I don't know how often you read comments, but the Astro A40's are on sale RN for $100 and I just bought the Hyper X Cloud Alpha S yesterday for $80 on sale as well, as far as audio quality is concerned and long term wear is concerned would you recommend I go for the A40's instead at the current price?
I've owned my Astro A50s for roughly 250 days. I've been having battery issues with the headset for the past 2 months and now the headset won't work at all without being plugged in directly at all times. I originally purchased the headset refurbished from Amazon and they wouldn't fix or replace the headset under warranty. So I reached out to Astro, explained the situation. After 2 days, they decided to replace the entire headset and docking station for free and allowing me to keep my original A50s and docking station at no cost. Their customer service was beyond impressive. That being said, when they work, it's the best gaming headset I've ever used - you won't find better sound quality in a gaming headset elsewhere.
if you could reply as soon as possible as im making a purchase tonight. i see ur review on the hpyer clouds. would u recommend the a40 tr over the cloud 2 and aplhas? especially for warzone and fps games competitively??
Astro 50 sucks after few years, the battery has degraded to the point, the headset can barely hold a charge. I am not about tinkering and replacing the battery since it requires soldering etc. A50 should've had dual connectivity.
I know that the surround sound that comes headsets are not good, but what about the windows sonic and dolby atmos that come as options on the xbox. Would you recommend those or stereo uncompressed?
@@AlmightyCman Stereo uncompressed. Once you learn how real surround sound (multiple speakers) works, using any sort of simulated effect makes no sense.
Can you still use custom EQ's on the a40 without the mixamp? (Im coming from Gen 3 a50s and am also a little worried about losing that volume difference if i go without the mixamp pro)
I was close to buying the astro a40 & mixamp combo for $200 until I saw this video. I might buy gaming earbuds to game with on my ps5 because headphones, even astros are too low for me. Hopefully I can find a earbuds vs headphones video on this channel, also a top headphones video because this is 1 of the 1st videos I watched that wasn't full of bias cap.
I haven't gotten around to testing many earbuds yet. Maybe after the new year. However, I do have a best headphones list in my community tab post that breaks them down by category. Based on your previous comment, if you want EQ on console and something loud, the only thing that really lets you accomplish both is the MixAmp. That's basically all it's made for. You can use it with the A40 in the bundle or get it alone and buy the Cloud II depending on the sound signature you like. The Cloud II can get slightly louder than the A40, but even with EQ it will never match the A40's bass. I still think the MixAmp is overkill in price, but otherwise you'll be either using a headset that's not super loud or you won't have EQ options on console.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thanks, I see it in the community tab. After looking at prices of amps, it looks like astros mixamp is far overpriced. My old earbuds that came with my old Samsung Galaxy Note 9 were loud & allowed me to hear footstep directions, so I bet gaming earbuds are good. My main focus on headphones has been trying to find which ones are the loudest on ps5 without an amp, but it seems like I need to focus on sound quality & just buy an amp to make the headset louder.
@@nickbones3578 I already bought the astro a40s with the mixamp. I could hear footsteps far better with regular earbuds than this a0 headset. I thought about taking these back & getting earbuds, but I hate returning items back.
Would it matter which Astro a40tr I buy ? I have a pc but I know there is the PlayStation version and the Xbox version of the Astro’s but both are compatible with pc. I would assume the Xbox maybe???
Nice video as always. Took them for myself. A retail one and bought mod kit. Dude, everything else I’ve tried in this price range is dogsh*t in comparison(just my option).
Ive had multiple A40s since 2013 with minimal complaints, and I am looking to buy a new headset now. I was thinking of buying the hyperX cloud alphas to maybe try something new and see if I like them more. Do you think I should stick with A40s? Are they more comfortable than the Alphas?
It's more about if you like the padding of the A40 vs fake leather. I find the Alpha and A40 about equally comfortable personally. I think it might make more sense (and be cheaper) to get the mod kit and try the fake leather than buying the Alpha.
Ive had many a40 and i just went to nova pro wireless. Its a fantastic sound (after you eq it) and the wireless is amazing. The leather and size of the cups is AWFUL im going to return it and go back to a40. (Which i still had plugged into my line in and all the pc audio i fed from a40 mixamp into my nova proe wirelss sounded BETTER lol
So torn because I want a wireless headset soo bad but I don’t wanna lose sound quality and from what I’ve been seeing the a40 trumps the a50, but man do I really want a wireless headset. Leaning more towards the a40 but every time I’m sure about getting them I just start thinking about how I hate wired mics.
a50s are nothing but trouble. if u look at their reddit page it’s nothing but users complaining about a50s not charging and other issues. i had a50s they didn’t last long and i now am going with a40s
I wouldn't say better exactly. I actually like the out the box tuning. But I increased the bass even more for certain immersive games and dropped the bass slightly and raised the 4kHz range for CoD and I think both worked really well.
I’m looking for a good headset to be able to hear footsteps in siege and most cods which do you prefer the most because I’m quite deft I need clear loud audio that I can distinguish where people and footsteps come from
Mid range price the HyperX Cloud II. Gets quite loud, and tuned well for footsteps. But if you have the budget, the Audeze Mobius gets louder than any other headset I've tested. So it will really help since your hearing isn't so good. I think it's the best FPS headset on the market, just really expensive.
Hi nice look . Ich have thr A50 gen.4 but problems with the connection . The headset is in Warranty . Ist the modkit , the earbunds comp. To the A40 ? So i will change to the A40 with cable and mix. Sorry for the English🤣 Greets from Germany
I don't, but there are a lot of videos out there. I just start with a flat preset and increase 4 kHz by 6 dB in Astro Command Center (or more in Equalizer APO).

True. The dolby mode on the mixamp isn't too good. Optical solution on PS5/XSX definitely had folks troubleshoot more to regain EQ settings on it. Dolby access app kinda helps to get some equalizer settings in place.
14:25 this is the point i would like to buy a40 heatset only, its really a good deal now only 30dollars
the fact that the a40 is open back style while the a50 is closed back is all one needs to know as far as performance. the a40 will be a better sounding headset especially in terms of directional audio every single time.
Great video bro, really helped me make a decision on which one I should get. Keep it up my guy!
I think a video of you recommending different headsets at different price points would be really nice, great vids regardless!
Thanks, I really want to make one, had one planned... But I don't know how I can get it any views :( "Best headsets" is such a crowded keyword, feelsbad.

Great review 👏
My mix amp is amazing. If you use the eq settings properly, especially in warzone, you can hear every footsteps etc. It makes the biggest difference if you know what you're doing with it.
I've had the A50's since 2018 and the company bought me the A40 TR when i seen it on sale for $100. Best of both worlds haha.
Honest and good review. You’ve earned my sub 😎👍🏽
Great review, keep up the great woek
Honest review, no BS. Keep it up
I prefer the a40 as it has more bass and a larger soundstage. I bought the A50 for the wireless but was disappointed with the sound
You did something wrong. I switched from a40 to a50 and they sound the same.
What you get
So I ordered the mixamp pro to connect the stream aux to my capture device and get game chat recorded. I have the m80 but it has mini hdmi, so have to get game chat from tv which ruins game/voice control. Which is essential when needing to clutch and people wont stop talking. A couple points youd missed.
Watching this video u can use headphone Jack's on the a50 4:50. The a40s with the Amp, is just the A50s in my opinion
Awesome Video, Really helped me choose if i wanted to upgrade or not
S tier Amazing review
I got the a40 and mix amp for 150 bundle deal on amazon
Its cool....as a power saver option
I also like to point out the A50 has some weird connection problems sometimes.
So I don’t need the amp box if I have the a50s because that technology is built-in to the headset?
I have had the Astro A50 Gen 4 since its release in 2019 and I can definitely say I have never encountered a problem with the self-turn-off. However, some problems I have encountered over the years are slim. 1. Sometimes they will randomly not want to play audio, and the fix to that is just turning them off place on the base station unplugging them plugging them in, and turning them back on; that usually fixes it... if not you have to reset them with a button or something i can't remember been a while. 2. The other problem that I have is that the battery life has decreased quiet a lot as off just recently and is very annoying. I haven't tested how much it depleted but it definitely isn't the 15 hrs or something they claim... but id still say thats pretty decent for 5 almost 6 years.
if you take it off a full charge can it still last say a 4-5 hours session?
@@Tcsgsd yes it can. It last but it’s noticeably less than first purchased.
What a great review, I decided to pass on the astros both versions. I love had the a40 years ago and wanted to see if I wanted them again but maybe not. Especially at those prices
Hey sir thank you for the 26 min full review 💝
one question please i bought the astro a40 and i think
is not as loud as i expected from my previous hyperx headphones
you think if i buy the amplifier will change anything thank you again for the effort 💝
Just subbed. I like your steez
AND BadIntent, the new A30 that has just arrived, will you test it too?
Hey brotha. I got a gen 3 a40 mix amp for about 6 years now. No complaints they work amazing. I just copped the a50 gen 4 and I really don’t notice much difference. My question is do I really need the a50s if the sound quality is almost identical. Practically paid 250 just to make my headphones wireless it feels like
Yeah that's pretty much all it is. Extra money to make it wireless.
I gotta test my Astro a40s tr +mixamp pro and gotta see which gen is this... Thanks for this helpful video about Astro a40s vs a50
wondering if you could recommend EQ settings for louder footsteps? on the mixamp pro!?
Nice and honest review, you earned a sub, plus can i ask you how they compare to "non gaming" headphones like sennheiser or akg? I've read that they are much superior to gaming headphones even to astros wich are one of the best gaming headhpones
Dope hundreds hat 💣
Astro A40 vs HyperX Cloud 2 in FPS games, which is better ?
A refurbished A50 with a mixamp and ps5 adapter is the same exact price as the refurbished A40 TR with a mix amp and ps5 adapter on Astros website lol idk if they did that by mistake but its hilarious seeing how the same two when brand new have a $80 difference..
I bought the Astro A40 headphones with the mixamp with same day shipping. Now I need to figure out if I have to buy the Astro HDMI adapter or if any cheap HDMI adapter will work for my ps5. I'm hoping any HDMI adapter will work because the HDMI adapter made by Astro looks overpriced & shipping is 4+ days.
what did you end up doing for the adapter?
@@avoralad1408 I didn't buy an adapter because all the features are working without it. I can hear footsteps better with surround sound on.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews hey thanks for that you’re the man!!! Also did u test this on both headsets?
@@mauinui5397 Yeah tested on both
Hello man, i've been watching like all of your videos about headsets reviews, and it helped me a lot.
How would you guys compare the A40 TRs to the wired Arctis Pro with Game Dac? I had that on my PS4 and it impressed me with its mic and audio quality.
if you could reply as soon as possible as im making a purchase tonight. i see ur review on the hpyer clouds. would u recommend the a40 tr over the cloud 2 and aplhas? especially for warzone and fps games competitively??
oh and im on pc
Astro 50 sucks after few years, the battery has degraded to the point, the headset can barely hold a charge. I am not about tinkering and replacing the battery since it requires soldering etc.
A50 should've had dual connectivity.
I know that the surround sound that comes headsets are not good, but what about the windows sonic and dolby atmos that come as options on the xbox. Would you recommend those or stereo uncompressed?
@@AlmightyCman Stereo uncompressed. Once you learn how real surround sound (multiple speakers) works, using any sort of simulated effect makes no sense.
Thank you 😁
Can you still use custom EQ's on the a40 without the mixamp?
@@LoneLeagle I can recommend you the ''A03 IN-EAR-Headphones'' on the astrogaming webside.
Once you go astro gaming you never go back to others
I had Turtle Beaches to Hypers to Rigs to Astros
Not the 50s ofc
(For a budget anyways)
You obviously haven't tried Sennheiser or beyerdynamics
Nice video as always. Took them for myself. A retail one and bought mod kit. Dude, everything else I’ve tried in this price range is dogsh*t in comparison(just my option).
Hah, I wasn't quite that harsh but I agree with the overall stance. The A40 (and A50) is definitely in its own league.
So what would be your hands down go to headphones
So torn because I want a wireless headset soo bad but I don’t wanna lose sound quality and from what I’ve been seeing the a40 trumps the a50, but man do I really want a wireless headset. Leaning more towards the a40 but every time I’m sure about getting them I just start thinking about how I hate wired mics.
a50s are nothing but trouble. if u look at their reddit page it’s nothing but users complaining about a50s not charging and other issues. i had a50s they didn’t last long and i now am going with a40s
Do u think a40 have slightly better sound ?
Are they a bit better in fps games ?
So when you adjusted the setting of the headphone with the computer did the headset sounded better?
I wouldn't say better exactly. I actually like the out the box tuning. But I increased the bass even more for certain immersive games and dropped the bass slightly and raised the 4kHz range for CoD and I think both worked really well.
Can u tell me the difference between astro a40 tr vs astro a40 tr x edition
Btw loved ur videos❤️
For a pc player that sometimes plays on ps5 would you recommend a40 tr with or without amp?
For mosty rainbow 6 siege btw
No amp. I don't think it's worth it.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews one day man but thanks for letting me know
I've had so many problems with a50s. Stay away. Bluetooth won't connect, mic breaks, chat audio is buggy. I'm getting a40s now
Would u recommend using a splitter or not?
highly recommend Zeference they make really dope presets for the Astros
theres one for studio reference and its amazing
top notch video too!
I wanted the a50 because it's wireless but I want the a40 since it has a clean looking mix amp plus you can customize it
Hi nice look .
Ich have thr A50 gen.4 but problems with the connection .
The headset is in Warranty .
Ist the modkit , the earbunds comp. To the A40 ?
So i will change to the A40 with cable and mix.
Sorry for the English🤣
Greets from Germany
Sorry I only understood a little bit of that.
Thank you for the review, do you know how the A40 stack up against the DT 770s?
Might get the DT 770 at some point since it comes up a lot, but I haven't tested them myself.
It’s 2022 should I still get this headset ?
Great video, Thanks! Do you have any video about audio settings? For warzone if possible.
I don't, but there are a lot of videos out there. I just start with a flat preset and increase 4 kHz by 6 dB in Astro Command Center (or more in Equalizer APO).
Do you think the Astro A40TR is better than HyperX Cloud 2 wired?
If you connect the headset to USB it will not turn off. Ridiculous that there is not way to disable this but there is a work around.
Wich is the best A40 tr vs cloud 2 for xbox series x ?
