Hi i have the HD 60 X and astro A50 with base stations so is it just use a 3.5mm aux useing male male Connecting the 2 together, then changing the settings ? Because my game chat audio come through the game but not through the stream. But I am capturing everyone elses chat now Also on x box series x.
I have been looking for a video like this for months and happen to run across it while im at work. Gotta give this a try when i get home, i hope it works. Thank you!.
@@YoItsMandolicious most definitely will on my day off tomorrow. I do have a question. The 3.5mm aux cord, does it have to be a 4 pole male to male or can it be any male to male aux cable? Thank you and Merry Christmas.
Hey man. I have setup everything exactly how you have it setup but audio is only coming out of the RIght Ear whenever I record or stream. I bought brand new 3.5mm cables but I have the same issue. Do you know why and how I could fix this bro??
is there a way to record your microphone voice via this method? if someone wanted to use the headphones that are in the headset, will they need a secondary headphone for the stream?
Real quick bro i love the whole set up but where would i connect my mic to my pa5? Or pc im actually playing on ps5 and stream on pc i want my party chat to hear me as well my stream 🙏
Nice video. I am trying to get my audio source on my elgato but I have the 4K 60 pro which does not show audio under devices. Any idea how to get the audio from the Astro mixamp stream port into obs with my setup?
I would say to plug in the aux from the Astro mixamp stream port into your pc headphone Jack and configure it to “Line in”. Then go on to OBS setting-> Audio -> then change Mic/Auxiliary audio to Line in (Realtek audio). Please let me know if that work!
Hey bud I enjoyed the video I have a mic for my stream but I want to use my astA40 mic for my playstation chat ho do I capture my chat audio in obs because I get what you said but I would like know if you have 2 mics how would it work
I use two mics as well, One for the stream and the other for game chat. What I do is, I go onto Astro command center and on the stream port tab. Turn the mic level all the way down because u don’t want obs to pick up your voice on both mics, it might cause a little echo effect. Your main focus would to see how your voice sounds with your stream mic because that’s how u communicate with your viewers.
I think I might need to tell you how I have my setup I have a 3.5 from the stream port to my pc line in and from the pc line out I have a 3.5 from the pc to my mix amp can that connection enable ps chat in obs so it can be on stream also is this the reason why I'm not seeing the option to switch to analog
Would this be the same process for ps5?? There are some streamers that do not use the hdmi apater that Astro says you need, and I am trying to connected my astros to both pc and ps5. I do have the elgato hd60X if that makes any difference.
Hey brother. I see where you are using the optical cable but also noticed the USB was still hooked up. Do you have the USB still plugged into Xbox? If so, I'm assuming you have the mixamp on Xbox mode and it makes the ports function differently?
You could disregard the optical cable if u don’t use it. And yes I still have the usb hooked up to the Xbox and in Xbox mode. The ports work the same in either pc or Xbox mode, you just need to configure the settings on the Astro command center to make the stream port work properly!
@@YoItsMandolicious i also have the latest gen a50's there isnt a aux port on the headset. I tried using the aux port on the back of my base station and plugged that into the elgato but that was a no go. I guess i will have to go wired headset cause nothing i have tried worked so far.
@glug21 yeah I don’t have the a50 base station so I wouldn’t know how to do it. I would say try the aux port on the headset but if it doesn’t have it then I don’t know.
@@YoItsMandolicious so i got everything setup and updated. But my xbox isnt picking up my mic. ive tried several things and nothing is working i can hear game sound and chat sound but my mic isnt working any tips?
hello I want to know how I can continue to hear and talk with my friends on play so in the audio part without hearing my friends on the stream thank you in advance any help and welcome (I use the astro a40 with mixer)
This method will capture any audio coming to your headphones. I don’t think there is a way to mute them only on stream if your trying to record game chat
When u switch it to analog it will only capture the audio from the Aux port on the elgato. That’s why u need a Aux cable going from your Astro mix amp stream port into the el gato.
Are you on Mac or Windows? Make sure u open up El gato 4k capture software, click on settings icon, then hit the device tab and u should see an audio input. Change it from HDMI audio to Analog audio.
You have no idea how long it took me to find this video. This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, thank you.
You are welcome! Glad I was able to help!!
Brooo finally after all these years i been looking for a video for this

Maybe u will need a 3.5 splitter
Hello, a question if you lower all the volume of the microphone you have on your headphones how do your chat mates hear you?
Sorry for the late response but those settings only effect what’s coming out of the stream output. Your teammate will still be able to hear u in game.

I’ve never tried it for ps5 but u can test it out. And I don’t think there is any difference
@@YoItsMandolicious where would I want to connect my cables with out the hdmi adapter? Would it be better to be in a discord call to discuss it?
I’m still not getting the game chat. I got party chat but not game chat. Hopefully I get a response soon
Hey, while you use this set up does it capture the audio if you plug something to the aux port on the mixamp?
That’s a good question! I don’t know because I’ve never tested that out.

i noticed you had optical plug in to the other adaptor also will we need this also for everything to work like you showed in the video?
No it’s not needed! U could check out my recent short clip and see u can hear game chat

this works for ps5?
Yeah it should. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work
Thank you so much!!!
yo do you have a discord? id like to chat and get this set up properly i dont know wtf im doin i got it all to work the audio quality is just horrid
I don’t have a discord but what is the issue? Are u getting loud buzzing noises or what??
i did that and its a loud buzzing noise
Sounds like u need to get a ground loop isolator on Amazon. It will remove the buzzing noises.
