from what i know the backrooms aren't just never ending corridor there are other floor with different layout, monster, rule etc...

I think that the "Don't move, stay still" wall writing isn't telling you to stay still when the Monster is around, but rather to not move once you have landed in the Backrooms until you have a reason to.
But Kane had to move to be able to find that wall? What are the chances somebody would noclip into that spot?
Either way it's not a good place to hang out at. If it was there would still be some people sitting there. That should be your first warning.

@@TheSkizzler same, but sadly, in level 0 you can never interact with people in any way, you cant see, feel or hear people, you and someone else could be standing in the exact same spot, but you will never interact with anyone again until you get to level 2 and beond

One nitpick: The throwing shoes at the ceiling seems very disadvantageous. We know that the monster can hear and see so as soon as you start throwing stuff around and making noise, it'll probably eventually find out your location.
Another issue: what if you throw an item at just the right angle and with just the right amount of force? It might get stuck in the ceiling and then you’ll have one less item to utilize!

@@twocubez7848 if you have the rope, you could tie it around whatever you're throwing so you can pull it back down if it gets stuck. Or just throw one end of the rope, if it's heavy enough.
To be fair, you could also exploit that as an _ADvantage._ If you are being chased by a monster and feel like you might get cornered, duck around a wall and toss one item on your person (obviously the most expendable one you have) in a different direction so that it makes a noticeable sound to lure the monster away from you. Then backtrack and/or head away from the monster while it's busy investigating whatever you threw.

I feel like it's worthy to point out that I'm pretty sure he's talking about the lore in Kane's video's since there's a few differences from the wiki and Kane's videos about Level 0. And yes, there's more than one level, a lot more.

This isnt the backrooms the backrooms is a creepypasta consisted of not infinity but something trillion *levels* you do not get how frustrating it is seeing such a huge fanbase get ruined bu people who want to make it scarier for clicks there arent “monsters” (entities) on level 0 (first one) you cant just enter with gear and a planned route out of it, there isn’t anything chasing you and the idea is that the level is terrifying enough on its own, it isnt a infinite maze, there isnt an exit its literally a level

@@geeswithane7yrago303 the backrooms started as a super loose concept and any lore is fan constructed. Matpat is just following the lore of this new series which seems to be drawing slightly more inspiration from the original "prompt" than from the other fanmmade lore.
About the drop ceilings Mat I used to be a maintenance man and have worked with them. I do not believe they'd be able to support a humans weight; while your description of them was correct the metal frames that hold the panels in place in my experience have always be fairly thin with just a wire holding the actual frame itself up. Now normally they are connected to wooden beams above and beside those wooden beams are thinner sheets of wood (like plywood or something sadly I'm not well educated in building construction, materials, etc) perhaps you could bust through that. Not sure if it would lead anywhere but I do agree you could follow the wires in the drop ceiling. I'm sure someone has brought this up before but I hadn't seen anything and figured I'd say something. Love the vids though buddy!
Somehow I found this video very useful, because all I could do is wonder what if I got caught by a sadistic persin and got trapped in a crazy maze that the kidnapper built or something.
I followed this guide and managed to escape the backrooms. Thank you so much. Now the problem is that i felt in a reality that is basically a dystopian nightmare on the verge of a nuclear war and i can't find a way to noclip back in the backrooms....

@@AxylusMaximus tbh, the minotaur and the labyrinth are scarier than the backrooms, since the minotaur is more terrifying than the tripod monster and the labyrinth keeps changing so there is little chance of escape

So I know I’m late, like a LOT, but here are some things that I noticed
Do not look in the filing cabinets, there can possibly be an entity waiting in there, and you won’t be able to escape it once you open it. And with the ceiling, (you can fact check me on this) I’m pretty sure that hounds, one of the entities in the backrooms, can fall from the ceiling, so they are most likely in that little space between the ceiling and the hanging ceiling.
That’s all, but you can fact check me on all of that!
While you may be correct, he's talking about kane's iteration of the backrooms. In this version there are no levels. No entities. It's just an endless void.

It mainly depends on which interpretation of the backrooms is being used. This is the one where you just accidentally noclip into a seemingly infinite maze like structure(with variations) and a known monster. Not the ones where you're pretty much meant to die or only like 3 in every 100 people end up surviving the first few days.

Disclaimer: all this tips work only in the kane's version of the backrooms, in "reality" the level 0 of the backrooms has either no monsters and no items, so, you'll be safe, and the only confirmed way get of there is to no-clip of there (which is basically getting out of bounds in real life) so wandering around is completely useless

best you can do is find the book room in level 0, or figure out how to no-clip again into the wall, we all know not to noclip the floor, and find out new stuff in level 1 if your new

I think the creepiest version of the backrooms is where there are no entities and everything is just empty. The thought of being alone and wandering those rooms forever is the most terrifying
only because you don't know that there aren't any entity and always dreading what you'll find around the next corner, always thinking what if there's a monster, not finding one makes it worse cause you think it's just waiting to jump scare.

i think the creepiest version is the one without any explanations behind its backstories, i think people try too hard to add something to a perfect concept, imo all these different new "levels" of the backroom and giving it a backstory made it a lot less scary

That was pretty exhausting. And then the clients only ever wanted this yellow. We also offered them a nice green or a photo wallpaper, or simple woodchip, but no, they only wanted this yellow pattern. Anyway. @@CRINGEG4MER In a place with dozens of possible paths to go. The monster has to know the exact directions, if it’s even close enough to you. If you know where it is somehow, you can mark it without having to worry

I’m guessing what Kane was trying to explain putting 91 on the Clapboard even though the video was dated 1996 was that they didn’t find the camcorder with the footage until years later. Either that or time passes faster in the Backrooms.
The issue with crawling into the false ceiling cavity is that typically those false ceilings cannot support any decent amount of weight. And definitely couldn't support the weight of any average human, they are usually only suspended from the real ceiling... You might be able to crawl along where the walls/roof meets because the wall should have weight baring capacity but that will be highly restrictive if the walk you are on doesn't connect to an outter wall.
If you’ve been to the backrooms wiki, you know you don’t want to mess with the ceiling. The space above the ceiling tiles is actually another level, which is called « the attic » if i’m correct, and i’m pretty sure it’s a dangerous one

If you noclip up out of level 1 there's a chance to get sent to level fun where you are instantly doomed, as there is no way out and partygoers everywhere.

@@aperturescienceguy2737 technically it isn’t confirmed there’s no way out, they just don’t say it.
One thing to consider though is that we don’t know whether the monster can hear us and how good his hearing is, so making signs in the wall or throwing an object to make the roof move will make mass amounts of sounds. The monster could easily find you before you have an good lay out of the maze.
Also, the ceiling gap might have something already roaming inside it...

a chair leg would work for this,or something to throw,we dont know if it even SEES or FEELS us,cause it has no eyes but knows he is there,so my best guess is 1. it feels us like a bat or 2. like you said hearing so throw something to test it,if it goes to it but not you its going by hearing if it comes to where it was thrown it somehow "seen" it come from you
@@fatimafarid8066 I'm actually really curious about the space between the dropdown ceiling and the "real" ceiling. I hope Kane explores that idea at some point. It would make for some real good horror with both the enclosed space and the idea of something chasing you in such a small area where you can't really run, you have to be on your hands and knees.

I heard the theory that since the monster is referred to by Kane as "Bacteria" and also because of that body found with something growing on it that the monsters are people who died. (They get reanimated as as those monsters, basically.) So the chances of running into one would be relatively low at first but as time progresses and more people die in the Backrooms there's more monsters and thus higher odds of running into one.
I would like to see someone who called into the backroom, and use all those advices to try to survive.

What amazed me about the “people” who went it to the back rooms is that no one tried to knock down the walls to see the structure holding them up.

I’d say to be careful with all of these strategies- we don’t know the intelligence of this monster. It could be able to read, failing that it’s more likely it could follow your trails right to you and even try to lead you off into the depths. Throwing shoes is loud and provides falling obstacles and a solid pathway for everything to follow. Also horror strategy rules state do NOT use the crawlspace
I _highly_ doubt the monster is that intelligent. It immediately charges at Kane on sight without bothering to use stealth, threw a chair for seemingly no reason (if anything, it's an anti-feat of intelligence since the sound of the chair hitting the wall signalled to Kane that the monster was there), and let out an obvious growl when it found Kane in front of the hole (if Kane just jumped down rather than turn around, the monster wouldn't have been able to grab him).
This is further supported by the Async personnel's use of the red trail rope that they use to find their way back; if there were monsters in the Kane Pixels Backrooms intelligent enough to follow trails, I highly doubt those scientists would use such an obvious trail to guide them back. And yes, we do know the scientists of Async are perfectly aware of the monsters since the recent Informational Video makes it clear that they know the dangers of the Backrooms (namely the policy that only groups of 3 or more should be permitted to enter the Backrooms, as there is safety in numbers). All in all, the Kane Pixels Backrooms' monster barely seems as intelligent as a wild feral animal, so leaving a trail on the wall would barely garner more than a moment-long curious glance from it.

Also, never ignore the idea that the monster is toying with him, knowing his end is near.
Sorry, but I'm not going to let this turn into a big running-around-in-circles thing about if the monster is intelligent. No, there is no sign that the monster was just toying with him. No, there is no sign that it understands that a trail on the wall left by a key or pencil could lead to an intelligent human victim. No, there is no sign that Kane Pixels' continuity is strictly tied to any other canon about the Backrooms besides the bare minimum left by the og picture, and he's free to follow his own canon and his own list of monsters without necesarily needing to include the dozens of monsters from other continuinities. We use evidence to arrive at conclusions, not a mess of "well we don't really know..." or "well maybe there are other monsters with high intelligence..." because that just isn't how logic works.
The fact of the matter is, the best strategy is still to be able to leave some kind of trail or sign of where you once were and/or where an advantageous location is, because clearly not doing so and just meandering through even with MatPat's disjointed-maze advice is just bound to get a wanderer killed purely as a result of getting a lost and getting dead-ended by a pursuing monster (which is exactly what happened to Kane). It may not be the best possible strategy, but considering the one monster we have seen has no evidence of being smart enough to discern the significance of a man-made trail left by a key or pencil on the wall, it's one of the few we've got. End of story. Peace out.

backrooms lore: entity 92 "sixarms" an entity attracted by stress. the more his victims are stressed the more the entity will be able to sense them and attemp to pursue.
The ladder could also be a useful weapon against the monster.
The backrooms monster may actually be blind, but have really good senses such as hearing and smell.

To help with the ceiling tile method, there's a method I learned from Minecraft, hit the holes onto the right side of the ceiling. The trick is that if you ever lose your way in a cave system, your torches on the wall will lead you back if you put them exclusively on the right side of the cave wall. With this method, you'd know if you were following a path you had already taken or had accidentally turned around, alternatively if you happened to make a campsite in the backrooms, you'd know how to find your way back to it.

If you want to explore the alternate "levels" of the Backrooms that people are talking about, the game has PLENTY of those. It also has entities, items, an insanity mechanic, and more. It's the biggest backrooms game on the market right now, so I recommend it to all Backrooms fans! =)

@@akashafofo6939 that is quite a false statement. i know youre gonna say something like “five nights at freddys” but not even the confusing lore will take away from your experience. a normal player of fnaf or any horror game will likely not know ANY lore, so if they find some, its gonna be very exciting, thus enhancing their experience. if you do know the lore, you could replay the game with a whole new perspective on everything. and like the case of fnaf, when they release a knew game, you’ll be happy to try to find any new lore that comes up. unless youve got like, major adhd or something that forces you to look for lore when you dont want to, lore is great for enhancing your experience while not taking anything away, if you dont care about it.
i know i only gave an example on horror games, but i dont know much about horror movie / tv show lore, but it would still be quite similar. rewatching with a new understanding can make you excited even when its just the same thing a second time.
tldr… lore enhances your experience in games or other media, but if you dont care about any of it, you can ignore all of it and still have the experience you want.

I swear, this would make the perfect VR game. Probably the best thing that could be done with VR.
If you wanna play a backrooms vr game then you should try backrooms all seeing on rec room. It’s certainly not the best it could be but it sure is fun, scary and surprisingly immersive. It’s also fairly long for a fan made game. Me and some friends completed it in like 7 or 8 hours.
It's all fun and games until you remove the headset and nothing changes.

Only way to escape the back rooms is to no clip back out of it, as it isn’t a physical building but it’s own reality. Any “exit” you find or crawling through the ceiling will most likely just lead you to a different level of the back rooms.

this reminds me of the book called house of leaves, about a house that has an endlessly deep labyrinth that supposedly appear out of nowhere with a monster inside, and drives people insane. Even the text starts to fall apart in the book as you get closer to finding the truth. I highly recommend!

Step 7: always conceal carry in order to have a starting weapon when you clip out of bounds. It may not work or be effective, but at least you have a ranged option. This would also provide a very loud sound option to use as decoy.
I doubt 9mm would do much against those monsters. That’s why I always conceal carry a barrel 50 cal.
I don't/wouldn't buy into the idea that something that looks like a bundle of dirty pipe cleaners is somehow immune to bullets, So i'd likely die a miserable death mag dumping the thing.

It’s actually insane how there are literal BILLIONS of backrooms levels all uniquely designed and all uniquely terrifying. As well as tons of terrifying monsters and actually the creatures we se in kane’s backrooms are the dullers, large amalgamations of hardened carpet fluid which is a acidic when in contact with skin but harmless if using gloves or clothes. This is all lore stuff. And for those who say it’s not infinite you are right and wrong because the levels are billions of miles but there are levels that you simply cannot leave.

I think the point of using the drop ceilings to move was to go to the top of the wall since in the video he said that walls only go up to the drop ceiling height. Meaning you could walk on the walls. I still don’t know if that’ll support you, but it probably could

You could not PAY me to go anywhere NEAR a closed dumpster that I _can't see into from a distance_ when there's horrifying monsters about, let alone a _suspiciously convenient rope_ that _just so happens_ to be laying right next to it. My knee-jerk reaction on seeing the rope next to the dumpster is to think it's bait to lure in foolish prey (humans) for whatever's hiding in the dumpster to grab, and put as _generous_ an amount of distance as possible between myself and it.
I feel like this about almost everything there. Like when the walls said don't move was that a trick or genuine safety advice

Funfact: after 4 days of wandering around in the backrooms you'll find a way to the next level automatically. So if everything fails, that's the last option. Also time works differently so you probably won't get hungry or need sleep for multiple days or even weeks. The only thing you need to worry about is survival and sanity

I remember when I was little I use to have these dreams that were almost like memories, I was in the mall with my mom and we would walk down this hallway until there was nothing but a empty room. This is basically a trapdoor spider method: food falls in and now you must track it down in the tunnel system which you make as your web. This might help with additional strategies.
Personally, I believe that the best version of the Backrooms has no monsters. There is no escape, it is simply an eternal punishment for trying to fiddle with reality itself.

Very good video, there's a couple things I'd like to add.
The monster (as far as I know) is called Six Arms. It's not usually in that section of the Backrooms, but you can actually ward it off with *sugar*.
It specifically tracks and targets people based on how stressed they are.
Make as little noise as possible. Basically everything hostile in there uses hearing to find you.
