As a lawyer, the real crux of the situation is that no one would have a strong enough case to prove ownership over the work even if they were in fact the true owner. So they don't really need to worry about a lawsuit because they would all fail. Ultimately, they simply don't have to care about their copyright violation because only the owner can challenge them and no one will be able to prove such. I'm glad you mentioned that bit. Your attorneys are smart. 😊
Still unfortunate for the original creator though.

Matt, either you have influence over what lore creators make, in which case consider it a compliment, OR you are able to accurately dissect the creators lore and analyze their work...again, consider that a compliment.
It's literally the latter what the creator meant
As a fan of both the SCP and Backrooms wikis, thank you for bringing this to light! We need to protect projects like these.
And we need more like them too. We have 3 that I know of: the backrooms, scp, and Glaggleland. I think we should have more.
Protect?! They RUIN what the Backrooms IS, we don't need a movie on it, and we certainly don't need it being limited to the vision of only one person
Go team SCP. 😌🖊️
@@lexruptorHe literally implied that he was talking about protecting the wikis in the first few words.
Maybe this isnt exactly what matpat meant but it never hurts to try and there is already over 1.5k comments on this video so even though im repying to the top comment this is still likely to get burried. I have been trying to find opportunities to gain a bit of exposure on a small project thing me and some friends have worked on over the years, at first it was kinda just us having fun but we have but alot more thought into it recently if anyone is intrested: ruclips.net/video/3sD0vK9KgJQ/видео.html
I think it’s so cool that not only did a big studio pick up the backrooms to do an adaptation, but that KANE is DIRECTING it not just producing it.
Fun fact, same movie studio that picked up Hazbin Hotel and did The Whale with Brendan Fraser

An analog horror series I’ve fallen in LOVE with recently is the Mandela Catalog by Alex Kister. He and Kane remind me of one another very much with their low budget but huge productions with impressive storytelling skills.
Both have a much higher budget now, especially Kane, so we should expect more in the future :)
Film Theory episodes about The Mandela Catalog have already been released.
Thank you for mentioning the staircase in the woods stories! I read several of them when I was younger and I loved them, but didn't know who wrote them. Now I have to go read them all!
I had no idea Kane was only 17 YEARS OLD! Holy cow - what a talented and skilled kid. I hope his work continues to find success.
A lot of talent and just enough luck to be in a position to do it. The internet has opened up a LOT of opportunities for people that could never ordinarily make it in the traditional publication arena, but there are still plenty more creative stars out there that will never get a chance to shine while they struggle to handle with circumstances that aren't even necessary, just there to make rich people richer.
@@user-tf8xr8wc9u one of which is probably the dude that took the photo and the dude that commented below the photo.. both created the idea but didn't even think go market it even tho they could.. Kane just profits here from someone else's idea.. it's actually very easy to take an idea and then develop it.. it's like a teacher giving a student the answer to a problem and all the kid has to do is develop and find the obvious reasons to justify that answer.. it's harder to come up with the idea
@@rias.gremoryyy Not untrue, but the level of effort Kane has put in is 100% commendable, as are the additions and changes he made. I'm not knocking the dude at all. Creative people deserve a chance to shine. Our current system just doesn't let it, even though we don't have a scarcity of resources or money.
It boggles the mind that few people realize we could be living right now in a world where no one has to starve or be homeless and have thousands more individuals pushing their creativity, but we don't because rich people want to be rich.
He's not 17 anymore lol.. It's been 5 years or so.
What!
the major problem thing about this, is that the Movie studio may actually try to copyright it, when to be honest it should be under the same rules as the SCP foundation. I think the thing is a wonderful and incredibly good law. Anyone can use it, and can profit under it. It's a win win for everyone.
The only issue is that it would be a major headache cause Kane isn't the first person to make authentic backrooms content. As such, any trandmarking would be very limited in scope, and only copyrights would be on what Kane and A24 have made.
I have my hopes up with A24. They're really an incredible studio and I hope and know that they'll do the right thing for the Backrooms.
@@thatgayoverthere9924 probably, but that doesn't stop a company from trying.
I’m no copyright expert, but obviously the studio will own the rights to the movie. It will be copyright protected, such that you can not just distribute scenes or the movie in its entirety. However any works related to the back rooms should still be fine as long as they are transformative, or are disconnected completely from the events of the movie.
Honestly once it started expanding beyond 4-chan, someone should've put the entire Backrooms stuff into a forum like the SCP Foundation to set everyone up with the same rules and law so that even if a company tried they'd it that road block and have to be cool with the rules.
I feel bad for the people who created the backrooms but also happy for them because they get to see their creation go so far
Well yeah it's their creation, but it's been twisted recently, so I don't know how happy they really could be.
The Backrooms are always such an interesting concept to me. Clipping through reality and ending up in a different place.. it always baffles me of how one can create these concepts.
Be careful where you step.
I personally love the idea of it but think it’s been hijacked and ruined. People adding monsters back rooms don’t make it scary anymore because the main significance of the back rooms was the fear of the unknown and being alone.
It’s really nice to see the actual SCP website being promoted. Used to go through each and every one, playing the games and listening to the podcasts

i was even more surprised to see the stairs in the woods promoted. THAT is some good content
The Backrooms is different from Slenderman. In Slenderman's case, the original creator was not anonymous, and actually defended his right to the copyright.
In the case of the Backrooms, it's a fully public domain concept, with TONS of prior existing works that have their own right to exist and belong to their creators. They cannot be retroactively removed for copyright, and if that's happening we need to stop allowing such destruction of art. The studio ONLY has the ability to claim direct uses of footage or designs from their movie specifically. If they claim anyone else's backrooms content, they're very much in the wrong, and NEED to be legally challenged for it.
Yea like the bad Disney copies of public domain. We can all make movies of the same thing. Hence why you see knockoffs like Titanic 2, Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast
It would’ve been cool if he named some of those big websites that had shady clauses about ownership transfers
do you know some yourself?
I'm pretty sure that Facebook owns every single picture you upload to your profile. I'm not sure about what happens if you share your Instagram posts on Facebook tho. However, since everything is now Meta... They probably updated the terms of service for all of them to include this type of clause.
Oh no....@@AgosAntonelli
If they set different timelines for different movies such that the story of one movie doesn't affect the story of another, I feel like backrooms can have infinite variations and limitless opportunity for content
This. This is exactly how it should be
Crazy idea: it's already been shown that time is relative in the Backrooms. What if the Backrooms are outside of time? You could have different timelines and infinite variations and yet still have them all in the same place?
This feels so vintage game theory, in the sense that matpat tricks me into learning by disguising the learning as backrooms horror content

The ones that copied Kane's work too closely will be the ones in trouble. Otherwise, what claim are you going to make? It existed before A24 got involved and that's a fight you may be able to win.

As the person that created The Partygoers (Entity 67) and has also made a video discussing the risk of online Backrooms content being shut down by A24, I'm really glad you covered this. I know from experience just how much effort and creativity and skill goes into making content for Backrooms Wiki communities and the countless original Backrooms art and videos out there, and its incredibly saddening to think that all of that hard work could vanish if A24 decides their existence isn't profitable for them and they get wiped out.

The question of “who owns the Backrooms” is a lot like asking “who owns SCP,” except SCP has a CC license attached to it.
I think the answer for this question is: Kane Pixels(with A24) own their respective versions while the Wikidot and the Fandom Wiki also own their own versions, the Wikidot is what's considered "canon" in the usual iteration of the backrooms while the Fandom Wiki is considered "Fanwork" of the Wikidot, Kane Pixels' version is most likely considered a different concept with a bit of similar ideas(on level 0), and most backrooms fanmade analog horror videos also would count as fanwork.
I think he should do a 3008 theory
Well, if you ask one particular Russian man, he seems to believe that he owns SCP.
when mat started talking about his favorite internet horror stories i was like "the stuff from r/nosleep is great and i love the search and rescue ones, i wonder what he's gonna say" then he mentioned the search and rescue stories 😭 ive loved those for yearrrss and i wish they got more attention. theres "audio book" versions of them right here on youtube if you want to read along
I know this is like, 2 weeks old now, but I was working on a project for a while, but as an indie writer, I just thought I’d insert a story from the canon of my current project, TMOOE, an essential alternate universe to FNAF. But it’s so much more.
Here’s the short story “Forgotten”.
For context, when there are two spaces between parts, it’s changing perspective, but I hope that’s noticeable enough without saying. I really enjoy character voice and minor details - like when writing from Zachary’s perspective, a British 12 year old boy, the spellings and terminology are all of British and European origins, versus Clover, an American 11 year old girl, who has American terms and spellings. Just tiny details like that - including little sayings and catchphrases original to characters (ex. ‘Holy actuators’ and ‘by all that is possible’.)
If you want to read “Forgotten”, it is just below this comment. I would appreciate it if you read it and gave me your opinions!
the search and rescue stories are actually incredible, good on you for giving them a shoutout. some of the most intelligent horror writing ive read. because as a reader you make connections and the story lets you figure things out by yourself, never revealing everything behind the scenes.
The dedication you have to making theories, and videos supporting others is truly inspiring
I tend to come up with quite a bit of stuff myself. Some of it is fanfiction that I just kinda use the setting for since I like the idea of it plausible canonicity, and trying to work with pre-established characters seems like a big hassle. One story I came up with a while back was originally a fanfiction of Negima, but took on a life of its own soon after.
One I'd really like to make though is a game that is somewhat inspired by FNaF, but mostly plays with some of the concepts. For example, instead of animatronics, there's what're called "Characters" in setting, but the exact nature of them is left rather vague with various Easter Egg clues as to their true nature. That said, the Characters, *aren't* dangerous, instead there's other stuff going on. The general idea of the game is still pretty nebulous, and unfortunately, I haven't the foggiest idea how to make any kind of game.
MatPat should definitely explain the skidibi toilet lore
Yeeeeeeeees
_Control_ is an excellent example of a property using the concepts of SCPs as a jumping off point, but still coming up with their own original concept.
The game?
I didnt know that was based on SCP
@Astalos-ub4by Its very obvious once you take that into account as you play the game. I mean, seriously? "Objects of Power" are literally SCP items lol
There are many more hits. The way the case files are written and the containment procedures. The Director and The Board in command structure. Even the name of “The Foundation" exp. pack. ;)
The "Control" creators are always open in interviews about SCP reference.
I think that the worse part about this is that once the film comes out it will solidify the lore of the back rooms and so creators won’t be able to make new lore or entities concerning the backrooms
It’s already mostly solidified..people kept treating kanes like it was the regular backrooms lore, theorizing about partygoers and stuff and when they’d show up; people already think there’s only one version of the backrooms, which kane’s wasn’t it (I still find comments on his videos of people talking about almond water and regular backrooms stuff even though that’s not in Kane’s version 😂)
His version is different than stuff on the wikis, his is his own sort of universe
I mean, Kane’s series isn’t actually officially the canonical version of the Backrooms. It’s just considered to be by a lot of people because of the amount of effort he put into the series and how popular it is. And even if you believe that his series is the official version of The Backrooms, it’s not like you can’t make a game or other kinds of content that have non-canonical things in it. Look at FNAF and all of the fan games and animatronics people made.
The "Happy Meat Farms" series from This Place is Not Happy is criminally underrated, and very much worth your time.
Tales from the gas station is a fantastic creepypasta series.
Kane pixals has truly made a great series. Let’s hope that this is not the end..
@FUNNY RAGDOLL Nobody asked
It is not the end, he is just focusing on the movie and also he recently just graduated so he hasn't had a lot of time on his hands. But he has said he will continue with the series even after the movie

The official backrooms is better. Kane is still amazing but the normal lore is cooler in my opinion

Yokai are something no-one mentions unless it is relating to a character or it's really REALLY popular. So I like how 707 made it their own, making unique stories based around multiple properties
YES OMG YOKAI ARE SO INTERESTING BUT NOBODY LIKE KNOWS ABOUT THEM OR TALKS ABOUT THEN other then like 707 making stuff, the smiling lady (I forgot her name) and the red room were like the most popular I think. And like all my friends have no idea what they are but they ar esp cool

Mats theories are the best, keep up great work Mat!
I adore the lore of Ephermal Rift, an ASMR creator who has essentially created his own lore around an Asylum with so many trustworthy and untrustworthy doctors, experiments, patients, and monsters.
Ooo sounds intriguing, might have to look into it myself. I would highly recommend the mystery flesh pit. It's so bizarre yet so thought out and beautiful.
The mystery flesh pit is one of my favourites. I haven't looked too deep into it on the more detailed corporate side of things. But I did look into the anatomical diagrams and information leaflets, and all I can say is wow. The amount of thought put into it the concept of a giant, and I mean GIANT underground organism in a sort of dormant state that has been discovered and exploited for corporate greed. Once the scale of the creature and the structures inside clicked in my head, I was truly blown away. And dont even get me started on the weird swimming pool stuff, that was something strange yet beautifully thought out in its own right. And the sequence of events of the organism simply coughing up water that had started pouring down its throat causing devastating catastrophes for guests is so chilling. Anyway, I could go on forever and I haven't even looked too deep into it so if that doesn't tell you how detailed this project is then I don't know what will. I also don't want to spoil too much. If what I have described here even slightly interests anyone here please go and look further into it on the website, you won't regret it.
Loooove mystery flesh pit
That sounds very cool Matpat should look into this

@FireCaT- I would love for him to cover it but the problem is that it would have to be quite a lengthy video because theres so much to cover and I don't think him and the team would be willing to do that. It would be cool if they did though :). Maybe as a gt live video so there's not as much editing to do, he just reads off a script or something like true crime content creators.
Surprised you didn't mention the tv show Channel Zero. Especially after mentioning the Reddit user and the stairs in the woods - an entire season of that show is based around that idea. In fact, the entire show is based around specific creepy pasta / SCP Foundation stories.
One creator I really like is Andjobe, he made a really good a zombie apocalypse story, so far they have taken over Italy and China, It isn't exactly horror but it is pretty good
Putting The Backrooms as a collective under CC-BY-SA would solve all of the problems MatPat mentioned immediately, as the situation is practically identical to the SCP Wiki.
Nice to see a project go in a solid run and not be too complicated on it's lore as it goes on while it can be engaging it's gotten somewhat tiring where we get more questions than answers in a story
It's gonna finish strong and well!
Is it finished though?
I just stumbled on this video and have to say this is such a great explanation of how this could work, but I can't believe there was no discussion of Channel Zero. SyFy took some of the most famous creepypastas and tried an anthology series with it.
I hope kane still allows us smaller backroom creators to continue making fan content. Its a large part of the community and even kane knows it so I know he will do the right thing.
As MatPat points out, the problem is not with Kane, but with the money people in Hollywood: they see $$$ in the franchise rights, & will fight fanfic building on it -- even if it is free publicity. (And let's face it, most fanfic not only was never written for profit, but it sucks. Only greedheads would be trying to smother this stuff, because potential profits.)
I'm happy that Mark and Kane are challenging Hollywood to take creators of the internet more seriously. This is a medium of film, end of discussion. If Hollywood doesn't take it to heart they'll be left behind in the winds of change.
This video actually makes me a lot less paranoid about sharing my creative ideas online. I have this idea for post-apocalyptic fantasy that combines mysticism with the aspects of post-nuclear War. It was all inspired by that one scene in After Earth where Jaden Smith is looking up into the sky with volcanic ash falling down around him.
My favorite example is a monster that I created called the tumor Drake. Drake, the mythical creature, has been mutated. Aside from a few surface changes, like tumors forming all over its body, it's able to breathe a radioactive or mutagenic mist that causes cancerous tumors at to form on the exposed flesh of its prey.
@Cartoon Cat thanks. Feel free to ask more about it. There's a really long expansive story involving magic both new and old. It was originally going to be a novel until I realized it would work best as a visual medium like a comic book or a show.
He needs to do dream core.
I would read or watch that sounds cool
Do it, I support you!
This sounds like a really good idea😮
Last I checked backrooms falls under creative commons and is allowed to be made into videos and movies while being able to make money and merchandise.
The first Backrooms wiki is a fandom wiki and, quoted from the license page of the fandom website "Except where otherwise permitted, the text on Fandom communities (known as “wikis”) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License 3.0 (Unported) (CC BY-SA)."
The wikidot backroom site falls under a similar license.

13:30 actually I'd be interested in Ben Drowned and Lavender Town.
4:50 never thought that i would see a Wataten meme template in an episode of film theory but jere we and I'm all here for it xD
If you think about it, The Backrooms is kinda like a modern day version of the Minotaur Maze
Except we have nobody to play Perseus and hold the clue. The ball Of golden yarn that leads magically to the exit. Aside from that it is pretty much a spot on Match. But that lack of a magical ball of yarn is kind of what makes this even more cool. You don't get these way outs easy. You have to fight tooth and nail to the bloody end to get the right to leave.
I know it’s already concluded, but I’ve just recently started listening to the Magnus archives. It’s really good and does a fantastic job of blending horror and curiosity about what happens next. The characters are really good, the voice acting is great, and they do an incredible job at making you “see” what’s going on through an audio only medium
It's AMAZING and a sequel series is being made
i ADORE the magnus archives, i really need to relisten to it again so I'm prepared for the sequel its some of the best writing I've ever witnessed, the way Johnny Sims set up so much so early on that pays off right at the very end is actually insane

The fact that Matpat study’s tiny details in the U.S copyright law just to talk about things like this just shows how dedicated matpat and the rest of the theorist team is! 😊
MATPAT!! I just watched Across the Spider-verse, and you HAVE to make a theory about it!!
13:35 bad examples because i personally would LOVE that, besides the copyright issues
What would be a funny twist is if Kane wrote that original 4chan post and was just lying about just being "vaguely aware of the backrooms"
I love the Tower Four podcast. It's reminiscent of the Firewatch game that came out a few years ago. Its about a guy who starts work as a lookout in a firewatch tower in the middle of a national park, but weird things start happening fairly quickly. A monster roams the forest and the only person he has contact with is a woman in another watch tower, who may or may not be who she appears to be. Great stuff, can't wait for season 2.
That reminds me of a game I played once, it's called The Dish Is Out. You should check it out.
I'd recommend the mystery flesh pit. It's genuinely so cool.
A creator who makes a good content by ignoring theories.
I like to think that If Matpat really did noclip into the backrooms he would so intrigued by everything and obviously THE LORE that upon exploring and finding entities he would be so curious and respectful to them they would just help him
Kane is honestly insanely talented and should be in a huge movie company for what he’s doing on RUclips at only 17 years old. He deserves it for every masterpiece he’s made.
A24 is letting him make a backrooms film.
this video couldn’t have been more perfectly timed. I’m taking a course on Film and TV Production, and I was so confused about what Creative Commons actually meant, especially when talking about the SCP Foundation.
Here’s a fnaf theory that I made up that I think might be right and you might not or will believe me. ( if you use this please give me credit.)
The theory I’m proposing is that Charlie/ the puppet is the blob. Evidence 1: lefty is where the puppet’s spirit was for a while and what game was lefty in, fnaf 6. And when the place got burned with all the other animatronics which building is over top of it, the pizza plex!
Evidence 2: Now you might be thinking, “lefty isn’t in the blob and puppets eyes aren’t glowing!” Well, I propose that her spirit is in the cords themselves. Because what do the cords look like? The puppets/night Marion’s arms..
Evidence 3: This is a small bit of evidence but the night Marion puppet is just called, “nightmare puppet.” Symbolizing that Charlie has literally a nightmare of a being. Anyways that’s my theory.
I love a certain "genre" of creepypasta's, Idk what their official name is, but I've called them "Rules Creepypastas." They all have a similar premise, guy starts a new job, get's a memo from the previous guy with a bunch of strange rules. Stuff like "if you hear screaming after 1:11 AM, curl up in the fetal position, shut your eyes, cover your ears, and close your mouth as hard as you can." The really creepy ones always seem to come back to you right when you're in that same scenario. Like closing up your work, or driving late at night on a backroad. You'll start remembering the rules.
I love that Creative Commons is a thing. It seems like healthy (for lack of a better word) way to deal especially with crowd sourced ideas like the SCP Foundation.
As an SCP creator, I’m a big fan. 😌👍
@@Site_42 As a backrooms author, I am also a big fan.
15:53 guys he said the thing. He talked about the SCP wiki lets go
He earlier had made a similar video about the SCP wiki
"Noclip out of reality in the wrong areas".
Where are the RIGHT areas?!
FILM THEORY IDEA!!!!!!
So this is kinda unrelated to this video but it’s something that’s been on my mind for a while. It’s about the Lorax. Yes, I know these memes have been everywhere these days. I would like to know if the one sellers need production and factory actually produces enough smog and smoke to destroy the environment around it! Please respond and maybe even do a video on this I would love it! ❤
In terms of these creepy stories, at a school drama club we filmed these short stories with an overarching connection of a 'mirror demon', though it isn't published to the public
I've been a geek for urban legends for years, and the risk of all that work being claimed by a group just sickens me. I really hope they don't screw up the fandom. The Backrooms is truly unique as it is, and I wouldn't want it to lose its charm.
I've watched Kane Pixels' series before, and I've personally enjoyed it. However, the Backrooms is like the core of many psychedelic community projects. It has inspired many, but now it runs the potential risk of being watered down. I genuinely hope they don't mess it up. I really hope they don't. The Backrooms is much more than just a horror sci-fi from another dimension; its community is a vibrant and diverse collective, consisting of creators and fans who have contributed their own unique interpretations and works to the concept. That's the beauty of a fanbase-driven concept. The Backrooms' community is a thing of its own, and I'd really hate to see it go. I don't want some corporate group to change the concept and ruin other people's works. It would be disheartening to see their efforts overshadowed by a single recognized concept.
There should be a back rooms level where you have to listen to matpat for hours and you can only escape if you hear all of his theories.
Is that across all four channels?
I feel like the BACKROOMs’ original creators would be pretty chill about a movie
For anyone interested in short horror stories that have an overarching timeline I highly recommend The Magnus Archives. I put it on whenever I'm cleaning my room or even playing Minecraft. It's very well done and produced by The Rusty Quill.
Really glad you addressed this topic! Currently working on a Webcomic series inspired by The Backrooms and was wondering how this upcoming movie would affect things
I do want to see it though
YOU GOTTA MAKE A VIDEO ON THE CHIKIN NUGGIT LORE CAUSE I SWEAR ON ALL MY PLUSHIES THERE IS DEEP SECRET LOREEEEE
I've only watched the intro yet but I think that this film could become a new revolution in the copyright laws and hopefully there could be some community owned properties
I'm actually working on my own horror story similar to the backrooms in vibes only. It's awesome to see film theory to talk about this kind of stuff
Go for it. Fan works and fics are a great kind of practice.
Nice, hope you make it big!
That sounds nice, wishing you luck on your story mate!
17:14 this is so weird, but the other night I actually had a dream about a random staircase appearing in my back garden just leading to nowhere. I have a lot of tall trees there so it is a bit woody.. I've never even heard about these short stories about staircases on the internet?? Dude I'm kinda weirded out now lol
The backrooms wasn't created by Kane he brought it back to life.

To both Matpat and all the team members who make the theorist channels possible, I want to say thank you. For years, you all have done an amazing job with creating videos and coming up with entertaining theories.
You all have inspired me for so long now. For years, I’ve had this idea for a story in my mind, and it’s only evolved into something much bigger. It’s because of the theorist channels that I’ve come up with multiple stories that all connect, and have a hidden lore that weaves them all together. Each idea I get for a new story, my first thought is now ‘How does this fit into the overall narrative?’
Back in 2015, I came up with the idea for the story. As of last year, I finally finished the first of many stories I’ve had in my mind. I want to publish it so much, but I still have to fix it up. This one is the most important one to the lore, and I want to make sure it’s done right.
All of this is to say, thank you so much for everything you’ve done over the years. All the theorist channels have been amazing! Your work is inspiring in many ways. Thank you ever so much 💚❤️💛💙💜

As someone who's also been struggling to finish an ever expanding amount of projects in the work, I'm thankful I'm not alone in this. I came up with ideas for my first story in around 2016, and beyond that my creativity peaked to work through lore and character development.
Unfortunately depression/anxiety hindered me terribly and I've lost motivation to follow through with deadlines, despite writing/creating being my best passion to date. The last thing I need is to feel guilty about the time I wasted on procrastinating in life, so at least gathering inspiration from sources such as the theorist channels, including Kane Pixel's backrooms series, has greatly influenced my approach to writing. Cheers to the both of us.
@@gckos2451 I'm right there with you too. I have a google doc several pages long, full of mostly placeholder titles and concise summaries. Despite that, I've rarely extrapolated those ideas into refined, publishable text. That insidious anxiety - around how my work will be received, if even noticed - always seems to get in the way
That said, it is usually ambitious, inspired projects like this channel often covers that get me back in the game. Looking at Kane's Backrooms and how rapidly the project has grown, the enormous amateur and now professional success that the project has found, it makes life as an artist seem possible if I can just keep plying my craft, keep writing. To that end, I'm currently writing for a competition in an ambitious attempt to force the issue. It isn't easy, but few things worthwhile are
Cheers
