I remember flying on Olympic Boeing 707's nonstop from NYC to Athens, back in the 70's! On the way back, we used to often stop at Shannon, Ireland to refuel. Took about 8 hours to Athens and 10 hours back to NYC. Great memories! THANKS DAD! I LOVE YOU FOREVER!

Those CFM does look weak I give ya that, I saw an Olympic Airlines A340-300 in JOhannesburg last week. It was very dirty on the outside, and the livery is outdated IMO

It was a problem with this particular flight, if you refer to this. It was a flight with a Boing from Athens to NY. It was 1978, August the ninenth. If it hadn't been for this pilot,, all the southern suburbs would have been burnt. Along with the people who were leaving and still live in those suburbs. So don't refer to this company with such a vocabulary.
yeah Olympic doesn't keep them very clean on the outside i noticed that too on my way to Toronto, and the service is mediocre to shit. Swiss on the other hand always looks spotless. What do you expect from Greeks, last in everything.
