I turned down this sponsor offer at first, but then had the idea for this trip and decided to go for it. I had a lot of fun and this was probably my favorite video I’ve made. Now I’m thinking of that E-bike sponsorship I turned down and if I could have strapped an EcoFlow to the back of it for a mountain camping trip….

A sponsored video is something I’ve never done before, and always shied away from because what they want me to do usually isn’t a good fit for my type of video or the work I do. So I have to say a huge thank you to EcoFlow for letting me color outside the lines a bit and come up with something a little different than your average review. I also want to say thanks to Setpower for sending out the X50 fridge that is a perfect fit for a day at the lake or campground. Links to both companies and all their products are in the descriptions!
Also edit, I said the was my favorite video that I’ve filmed, because it was filmed before I made the road trying video with Riley. So this is now my second favorite video
@SECRET CREEK PROSPECTING yes, there’s a Setpower link in the description
Awesome video Casey this type of video are very relaxing 🤩 need this type of videos often 😊
As long as you put your own twist on the review I think we'll be good with it.
@@CaseyLaDelle please be careful picking up trash baggies laying around unless you're wearing at least nitrile mechanics gloves if it's trash from a druggie getting high and has fentanyl on it you don't need long exposure to that stuff our group was doing our spring cleanup and a guy picked a baggie up and in 5 minutes he was to his knees with drool puddling on the ground and having a hard time breathing when the EMTs got there they he was given narcan the police took the baggie and it tested positive for fentanyl so now we wear gloves on our cleanups and throw them away when done so please be careful especially when alone we want to keep ya around a long time
I would agree with your choice :-)
You know Casey not many people can make a commercial worth watching all the way thru but somehow you did it. And we seen some of the better parts of oregon. Thanks Casey keep it goin man.
EcoFlow owes you big. Real reviews are what every product worth its weight need.
Such a beautiful area and I love your candor. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
That, Casey, was one of the most sensible, realistic, useful reviews of any sponsored product I have ever found. Cruising around in a battery powered canoe with the scenery was a stunning background. I'll be considering the system seriously on the back of this review.
Great location and nice presentation for the eco-flow. My wife is handicapped and when the electricity goes out, her electric recliner leaves her stuck and I have to fire up the generator to get her out of it. This might make a good addition to our home.
I had an electric stand-up recliner I bought for my dad. It had an auxiliary battery just for such a power loss situation. If you bought yours used you may have missed that feature. They’re pretty well hidden. You may just need to supply a fresh battery. Just a thought…
@@Dave-ei7kk the chair was suppose to have a battery back up but it has never worked. Bought it new and thought about getting into it with the furniture store over it not working, but at my age (old old old) I pick my battles with a bit more skepticism.
I have a little Honda generator that is easy to pack onto the front porch and fire up, but if I’m not here, she is stuck in her recliner until I get back. Might make for a new recliner after all.
@@lonpearson2134 I understand your not wanting to get down in your hands and knees to troubleshoot the broken battery box. Lugging a generator out from wherever it’s stored can be a pain too although those little Honda generators are very nice machines.
The Ecoflo would surely work but the correct solution would be a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). I came from the computer data center equipment industry and we used them all the time. The nice thing about them is that they are totally automatic (when the power fails they instantly switch over to their internal batteries.) Even sensitive equipment like computers don’t notice the transition and just keep running as if nothing had happened.
The battery pack Casey was showing is based on similar technology and seems pretty impressive. And I’m reasonably sure from his description that it would work. But since your requirement is for relatively small amounts of very intermittent use it is probably a massive overkill. The company APC makes some nice small UPS units that should work just fine and cost a lot less.
@@Dave-ei7kk I’m familiar with UPS devices since I worked in a similar situation with massive steam boilers (7 stories tall) and UPS systems tied into the emergency shut down procedures. Pretty spendy
True to your word Casey , you test them in real world conditions, you don't treat them nice and we don't see them or you will tell us if they are rubbish. I always trust your reviews. Love the canoe set up.
Great scenery Casey, you're so right some folk suck, thank you for caring for the environment. 👍😊
SNAKE!!😱 oh it was only a Stick 😓 😉😆
Better thought a fool for checking, than proved a fool for not! 😁
I can't speak for everyone, but for me I watch mostly for the scenery. So yes, more outdoor adventures would be great.
I do love the recoveries and search and rescues but I enjoy just riding in forests so that's why I ride along with you.
Thanks for the promo! I might be able to use one of those in my OTR truck to run my fridge!
I think most of us would be pretty happy with more outdoor content, I for one equally enjoy the tow jobs, the trail runs, and the outdoor episodes.
Just remember the first rule of RUclipsbing: your audience is your number three priority. Always take care of yourself and your family first!
Impressed it ran that wire feed. Cool canoe, I can row a boat, canoe. Your review is everyday application in everyday language. It peaked my interest in the power station more than the dozens of other reviews I've seen on YT.
I reluctantly bought a EcoFlow River Pro and have been happy with it! I say reluctantly because almost all reviews of their products are clearly sponsored videos where people just use it out of the box, not actual usage, so I was kind of skeptical. The fast charging and boost sold me on trying. Most recent fun use was bringing it to a golf course for a fundraiser and we made frozen margaritas from the golf cart with a Ninja blender. lol.. Great to see your review and the fact that you've been using it. Also can't believe I didn't notice it in a previous video!
thank you Casey for taking us to a beautiful part of the world.
Your first commercial. 👏👏👏👏👏👏😊😊😊
You did really good Casey. And again thanks for showing us around more of your office. 😊😊
When you say you are getting away from it all - it looks like you are touching what's REAL
Thanks for bringing us along.
Awesome video Casey! Some of us are stuck in cubicals, trucks, busses, all day long so your virtual vacations are a Great benefit for us!
Can I make 1 suggestion....... Next time bring a fishing pole!!! It would be the icing on the cake to see you relaxing at those incredible campsites kicked back in your chair with a fishing pole catching dinner. And a crawdad pot for finger lobster.
There's small lightweight induction heat plates that will run off your power supply to cook the fish and eggs, no fuel, no flame, heat only goes to the pan and is cool to the touch, no fire hazard. And BONUS, there are small solar powered bug zappers to keep the mosquitos away as well. My favorite camping meal is a Freshwater breakfast, it's a trout fillet with 3 eggs and hash browns.
Keep up the Great content! We Luv Ya cause you tell it like it is, no sugar coating, just right between the eyes BAM ! 👍
I'll be honest. The concrete truck video brought me to your channel. Since then I subbed and the off-road recovery go hand in hand if the nature/ history videos. I honestly think your channel have alot of potential in your continue down this path.
Love the outdoor experiences, even more so now that I'm beyond wanting to "rough it" like that. Nice product review - I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be tickled with what you presented.
Casey, YOU are the MAN. WOW. What a beautiful location. I have an Ecoflow and us it as a backup for my Cpap when we loose power at night. I have only used it twice, but it is there for when I do need it. The box logo was epic.
Oh wow! Thanks for the idea! We lost power for 9 days in an ice storm a couple years back. I really missed my cpap.
You don't need to film your whole life, but thank you for taking us along on some of your adventures as we don't get to go out adventuring as much as we did in our younger days.
Honestly, best review ever. I hate the fake ones where you can tell they are reading off a script and have been paid to do it. This was a legit real world use and not just a copy-paste unboxing! Thanks!!!
Yes we want to see the outdoor stuff your willing to share to! Awesome lil unit there. And great real world usage review!
Love this!!
Do some videos like this occasionally people will watch … I will watch! That’s what my channel is.
I just love the outdoors. Being here in WALES We have some of the most fantastic views you could ever wish to see.but it's lovely to see were other people live. Your idea of a boat for you and the family 😉😉 to take a break in sounds wonderful and the wonderful little daughter of yours would really get some wonderful memories. My children still talk about the narrow boat we had our holidays on. GO FOR IT. Stay Safe and sound regards Peter T Wales UK.
Wow, never really wanted to visit the USA (from England), I've now changed my mind. Really enjoy the 'explore' videos, keeping the occasional one coming.
Absolutely stellar scenery thanks for taking us along.
I am intrigued with the Delta 2 storage station. Great practical review.
A couple things, I have had a EcoFlow Delta for a couple years. I beat the crap out of it, never failed me. I love it. It travels with me everywhere. That said, I love your videos. I have probably been to Sparks close to a hundred times. We are so damn lucky to live near here. I also love your commitment to our public lands. And finally, way to get away from the craziness of the road campers. I’ve spent a lot of time on the Ray Atkeson trail taking photos.
Your videos are a gift to the area. Thanks.
Wow! Absolutely beautiful Casey! I love the 'real world' reviews you do.
Real. No bull. Covers the real world situations. That’s why we watch. Thank you Casey.
I'm pretty much sold on anything you're willing to show us Casey. I like the heavy hauls, the long distance transport, fab and repair, nifty gadgets (toys for manchildren), camping spots and such... Whatever you're willing to share, I'm grateful to watch!
The outdoor videos are nice to see, keep it up.
Geweldig gedaan bedankt voor de info met een duidelijke uitleg en film 🎥
Love these kinds of videos Casey, mostly because of the person you are and your personality. Keep 'em coming!
Absolutely fantastic footage beautiful scenery you are so lucky having scenes like this amazing content brilliantly filmed
I think that this "Commercial" is worth many, many, times what they're giving you for doing it! GREAT job kid!! Gave this old guy a bunch of ideas. If you've the time, another "outdoor" video would be fun...but I'm looking forward to your snow rescue videos. Take care, be safe...🇺🇸👍👍🇺🇸
Let's send it to Casey LaDelle! He can think of ways to knacker our product our test people never can. And he can't break it, mere mortals won't. 😁
Casey,
I enjoyed this very much! Loved seeing that Volcanic Rock Island w/the perfect secluded beach. I’d be in favor of seeing a little more of this type of outdoor thing!!
Yes! Yes! Yes! I would love to see a video of you and your family camping with a pontoon boat!
Please do more videos like this one. You are so real and down to earth that we love watching you no matter what you are doing.
Definitely the best review I've seen of that 😃😃
From the talks we have had and the type of guy you are if you say it's good it is. Even being paid, if it wasn't good you would say it. Keep up the amazing videos. Snow in the forecast for Mt. Bachelor this weekend.
My guess is your previous solar unit's CC ("charge" controller) was a PWM (power wave modulation) and they do tend to produce no charge once shaded as you mentioned. In ruff Layman's description... In solar charging with PWM things tend to go to the lowest common denominator.. so if one panel's output of energy is producing no charge, net result is no charge at all will happen since it defaulted to the one with lowest output. Zero in this case. This can be overcome by having a PWM CC attached to each panel's power output separately and wired to battery essentially separately. This way one panel may be producing nothing... thus its CC does nothing... but any other CC's connected to panels that are getting enough sunlight.... will keep charging.
MPPT is likely system you have now (Multi Power Point Tracking). Again in laymen's terms MPPT has ability to ignore the lowest common denominator and only deal with the higher output ones.. this is why this time... when in partial shade, you are still charging some.... aka.... same net result as if you had the above described scenario with a PWM CC on each panels output.
note- most everything manufactured these days is MPPT
Actually all your videos are AWESOME
Love the views and the way you put the product thur a tough testing keep it up thanks
Yes! Love your outdoor videos of beautiful central Oregon and I definitely would love to see more. That lake is one of my favorite places. Half the fun is getting there on that road, especially in a big Dodge pickup. We say, just like the Disneyland ride, hang on to your hats and glasses ‘cause this is the wildest ride in the wilderness!
Dude, one of your best videos. Loved it.
Way to go Casey! Wouw, this must be the best ecoflopromo i have ever seen.
" This must be the best pirat i have ever seen! I ques it is!"
May be you can do a river cleunup with your boat and drone
That’s a beautiful lake. You got some really nice area around you so lucky
At 21:01, it can be reworded "Casey is as Casey does!" :)
Great take on a sponsorship video; keep thinking outside the box!
Casey's travel channel is a great idea! Thanks for taking us along!
I normally skip in content ads but i gave this a shot because, well, it's YOU. Most people think they're all of a sudden some kind of super actor and fail miserably keeping interest in the product. I appreciate you just being honest and direct in real world situations. Thank you and keep moving forward man....
Awesome review and video! Thank you Casey for all the great content you provide. You have inspired me to try this with my canoe!
Awesome review. I'm also sending this to a friend I'm sure will love it
Great review of the entire charging system you put together. Did enjoy the scenic views and I the names of the lava mountains.
Good stuff Casey, beautiful area!
Thank you, you show whatever you feel comfortable with. You have not let me down up to this point! Love the area where you live. Beautiful country.👍✌️ You are blessed. Safe travels to you.
Great design and I hope the people at Ecoflow are impressed with your "outside the box" idea.
Casey, I grew up in western Oregon and loved to spend time doing what you are doing, I've lived in Alaska for 46 years now but love seeing your videos of CO especially the cascades, the Three Sisters Wilderness was one of my favorite places, keep up the good work.
I love watching you show us around Oregon! Thank you!
Recognized that lake from the thumbnail. Went there a few years ago and I'll never forget how cool that spot is.
Casey, you should put out a T-shirt, saying "People Suck" and a hand holding up garbage from a beautiful beach and lake in the back grount. I'd buy one, keep up the great work.
You need a fishing rod Casey, I'm behind a computer screen all the way up in Canada and I can smell that there''s trout in that lake from here.
I love your adventures Casey, thanks so much, from a gal living the van life in Tasmania Australia.
U just started a hole new industry. Fantastic...
Casey is HILARIOUS without even trying to be!
Being a retired trucker from Texas that's been in that part of the country,I really enjoyed the scenery up there.
That was a fabulous review, Casey. I think the best I've ever seen on RUclips. Lots of reviewers say they use the product and like it, but your video actually showed in it action with your on-going technical performance narration. Stunning quality. I bet that's the best review EcoFlow has.
I like both types of videos, because you put care into doing them correctly, and we appreciate that.
Also the holding up their logo was hilarious lol
I don't usually watch the reviews as a whole video. More a one minute, this is what I am using it for today, incorporated into several videos fan. But this was well done creative and entertaining 👏 👍.
Your out in nature videos are phenomenal. Keep it up. Don't listen to the nay-sayers.
A most excellent adventure!! (and ad) More please. (With or without ads)
Best sponsored video idea ever. Nice work sir!
So relaxing even in my chair what a beautiful scenery I definitely would like to see more of the outdoors. Oh I almost forgot awesome review. God bless and as always be safe 👍
Well done video, I like your tours and how simple you keep things. People can spew technical data and tell you all the things something can do all day long. All in all, It's just nice to hear that you like the product and it really shows in your video. Also I never noticed the generator in any of your other videos and if I did, probably thought it was the other one you had. I will certainly consider these products if I ever have the need for them.
I forget and I'm too lazy to look up the video. Was the generator that didn't charge in partial shade from the same company? If so, it's great they fixed that issue.
Oupes. And yes, this one does exactly what that one wouldn’t. Overall that one worked just fine, but as soon as the panels were shaded even a little bit all charging stopped.
Thanks for the info and the beautiful views of Oregon, I enjoyed this
I love all of your videos, you feature such variety that everyone likes. I trust your reviews because you don't sugercoat or bs anyone. You lay it out for better or worse. The hardworking folks appreciate that, no one wants to waste money because someone lied about a product. Enjoyed the video, Stay safe and GOD bless
Yes to more good ole outdoor adventures! I had fun guessing where you might be and snooping around in google maps until I confirmed it to my satisfaction.
Btw, Eco flo hit a Bullseye by having you review this cool system! You just helped them tap into a huge market, camping and canoeing with a trolling motor. Even a disabled person could use what you put together on your camp out, test of the Eco flo, IMHO. Awesome job EXCEPT.. Reilly really needed to come camping with Dad and maybe even Mom!
The motto is 'I never said I was good at this' also applies to on screen graphics.
Best youtube channel ever
What kind of tent is that, I know it's not sponsored, but if you're using it, it's probably worth looking at.
Even if I haven't been tent camping in over a decade.
No idea, I found it at Bi-Mart
I love your reviews. You love to actually use and abuse it. That’s what I want to see, not just a box and unwrapping it. 🎉 Great choice ECOFLOW!
Very cool setup! The exploring videos are awesome! It's some beautiful parts of the country that I may never get to see or explore in person. Great video, keep 'em coming! 👍👍👍
Love that area! Your blessed to live and work there.
I would watch more outside relaxation stuff.
Nice "review" of an ECOFLOW SOLAR GENERATOR , I also own one ,(MINE IS MUCH LARGER) , I used it to power my daughter's office . She runs 3 computers, with 3 monitors, one side of the room and another computer ,with 2 monitors on the other wall . My ECOFLOW ran all of it all day long , 8 hr. shift and still had 60% left on the machine - amazing . I am convinced I am ready for whatever is coming down the pike . Glad you had fun on your excursion .
More videos with the canoe please. Would make a great match with the underwater drone. ;)
Enjoyed this video very much. As an outdoorsman myself, I have never carried a fridge and battery packs with me, until now. Due to the medicine I take, I now need cooling of my medsines. This system seems to be a perfect fit for me. I live in Norway but will probably find a solution. Not many people can make a commercial that lasts 22 minutes without BS. Very good
This was great! A solid review of that power station. Good work! Looked like a fantastic trip for sure 👍
Casey in my opinion this is definitely the best review video because of how you did it by having it and trying it out for two months then actually using it in the video is a great thing and the important stuff. People want to know how it actually does in everyday life situations.
I do hope you do more outdoor videos like this when possible.
Keep up the great work
That will definitely be the best review video out there for one of those things plus really shows off the convenience of the fridge having its own power source too. Gorgeous spot you picked to camp and explore.
I love it: "I don't know how to do it" but here you go the logo. I signed up for the E-mail. YES we want to see more and different stories---I still love the Hay Squeeze.
That was wonderful. I'm certainly up for more of this type of video!
Agreed that this is a better review. Real world usage! Thanks for the review!
well it nice to see a real review of a product and not some scripted review that just showcases a product. You can do more of this type of review in my book it really shows how good a product is and how practical. Thanks again for an honest review of what is only a great product that i will not be able to buy given my location and type of supply we have in this country.
Casey I can see why you live in the area that you do. Beautiful scenery. I was not aware of how extensive lava flow rock makes up so much of the landscape of Oregon. If I didn't live in North Carolina I would consider living in Oregon. There is a lot of independent thinking and independent living that I think is possible in Oregon. I have been drawn to the western part of the US.
Just avoid Portland lol I moved to Tennessee from Oregon and the housing prices in the area Casey is in are stupid high. I watch him because I miss home sometimes.
I agree with Lisa avoid Portland. I live in La Pine which is outside of Bend because housing is more reasonable. It’s like living in a Bob Ross painting so totally worth it.
@@robc.4714 Definitely more reasonable but when I left it was hard to find anything.
Congratulations! This was absolutly cool. What a scenery and what a test. The guys at Ecoflow must have tears in their eyes. Your ideas make for the best advertisments ever. And it is 100% Casey honest.
Outstanding video Casey
Thank you for bringing us along on your mini vacation. Stunning views.
Outfreaking standing Casey!!!! Would like to see a little more of these type videos, not as good as rescue types but still very worthwhile watching!
I REALLY enjoy your videos of testing out stuff. I like the honestly & that you're really using the equipment or whatever like a person really would need or use it. Never knew I needed a Setpower fridge, EcoFlow power bank or solar panels. But honestly am going to click on your links to check them out. By the way, what portable solar panels do you use? Want to check those out as well.
Those are EcoFlow as well
Nice to see a real world review instead of one just in the "shop" of the specs. It shows that you have used the ecoflow and it woks!
You are right, that is a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing.
looks like so much fun... great video
