What's the better launcher to use in your opinion? I saw your other video on the 3rd party launcher which looked good. Is there an advantage to using that or is it just personal preference?
The official launcher is probably the best bet as it doesn't require downloading any other applications. Will get you in to gunfights quicker! Just showing the various options of connecting.

If you are playing on community servers the character will always be new/unique to that server. I believe only the official servers carry over your character from server to server
Cant join any server with mods. I use the setup mods and all but it always says I dont have the mods necessary to join. It says a prompt from battle eye that I need to download the mods from the launch.
I don't get how to re-update the modded servers. I always get kicked after n hour or 2 as well and it happens on all modded servers.. I just Wana play the game n don't understand

I don’t know why but when i try and join certain community servers it comes up with a error and then i have to restart, i’ve just given up at this point it’s impossible to join a community server.
Yeah it sucks when that happens, more than likely there is a mod which is required to connect to the server but your steam for some reason isn't downloading it causing an error.

I have created a character before, but I am not sure how to join the modded servers with a unique character from the launcher. dzsa launcher stopped working for me because i downgraded my steam library to the 2013 version. Thought i was finished playing dayz modded. Not anymore. Thanks bro!!
Hey Freddy thanks for the comment! You mean modded servers? Yeah sure they are. I'd recommend going on modded servers which have a bit of population rather than completely empty ones. If you want to just get used to the game I'd jump on official to start with as modded servers will usually change some of the basic mechanics which could confuse you at the start :)
Hey Jippy 👋🏼 each time I search for spaggie or zero or other popular modded servers, nothing comes up even after waiting a few minutes and most of my community servers have Chinese/Korean lettering for all of the descriptions, there was one time where 4 zero servers came up in the search but they were all private, any tips?
@alexmacphee5404 so I was able to get into some modded servers, what I do is just load any and all possible modded community servers and then just wait, I usually populate about 6000-7000 and then start scrolling and making favorites as you go
If anyone can see this... I'm only showing 90-120 servers listed with NO FILTERS or mods added. No clue as to why. Kinda frustrating. I haven't even touched dayz on pc at all. And I want to play a specific server. I cannot find anything on internet relating to this. I'm not entirely confident on a computer as this is my first one ive built. Any input appreciated.
I'm having troubles with the game as well. On modded servers I always get dropped from the game after an hour and I don't know how to re update the modded servers
Not heard of the bastion server. Typically you want to go over to the community tab if you are using the official launcher as that is where all modded servers are located. Bastion is a server name or map?
Ah ok :) In that case I'd goto community. Click refresh and wait. It'll show the number going up on the number of servers it is finding. Something like 8000. Once that stops going up, search bastion in the name and it should appear. Favorite it so from the onwards you don't need to refresh that list anymore. You can just goto favorites and join from there straight away
If you encounter any problems let me know. I never had any issues launching onto namalsk servers for example. Mods downloaded and updated automatically and never had battle eye issues

Usually pretty quick. I remember if open the community tab and hit refresh it might take 5 mins to query 6000+ servers but wasn't that slow I think?

If you are on pc and u downloaded the game through steam, it should open up automatically when you load the game.

Hey! Yes definitely works. The official launcher has improved a lot over the years. Joining modded servers is easy now i was surprised :)
