- Another video tutorial for DayZ where I explain the dreaded .pbo error. What causes it and how you can go about downloading the latest version of the mod. How to unsubscribe from mods is also explained as well as the virtual symbolic links created to the Steam Workshop Library.

I keep getting a message that I have a PBO that is not part of the server called "fixeyezoom." I've checked everywhere and this mod is nowhere to be found, yet it says that I have it. I have tried unsubscribing from all of my mods and redowloading but I continue to have the same issue. Is this common and/or is there a fix?

My problem is that the server knows which mods I want on the server but it thinks their different mods?
Simplified version: the green number on the mods says the exact number of mods I want (and it says the mods I want for example forward operator gear) but when I load into my server it shows a pbo error and it says I don’t have the mods that the server has?
Oh and the !Worshop folder dosent even show up, it sends me to the steam workshop folder
And yes everything in the batch file is correct only the mods part might be wrong
How can I find the mod files when using the vanilla dayz launcher.... I see how you find the generic folder.... but how do you determine which workshop folder is associated to it?
you use file explorer to find mods on !workshop and every mod on workshop has to have a @ at the start
What if my workshop folders are missing, and when I try to join a server it doesn't show the mods. It just makes me try to join it then I get the error.

Do we have to manually download the mods for whatever reason I can't connect to community servers at all
If you are launching using the official launcher or dzsa, when you try to connect it should automatically subscribe and download the mods before attempting to connect to the server.
So what are you supposed to do when you can't rejoin a previous server because the game says that you have a NEWER version of a mod that's active on the server?
When that happens there isn't much you can do really, you can't easily revert your version of the mod to the older version. Easiest way is informing the server which is running that mod that they need to do an update to the latest version. Server owners usually check for updates daily.

I was able to resolve a Missing PBO error (server has a newer version of the mod) by selecting the server from the larger list of servers instead of from my favorite/recent list. Inside the favorite and recent lists it only lists the required mods from when you last played that server and does not reflect any updates to that server.

i cant get my workshop folder to show even if i click show hidden folders. Do you have any tips or something that can fix that cause i cant play dayz now

I have removed all mods multiple times and re-subbed but I continually get a PBO error still, at a loss for what else to try

hey man just seen your video and i still need help lol i maybe dumb so i get an error that says i was kicked and the client has a more recent version than the server of dayz-expansion-bundle PBO

played just fine for the alst few weeks. logged on and now have windows.storage.dll issues with battleye and constant PBO errors. not sure what to do other than uninstall and retire all together. been at this for about 10+ hours now.

I got a client has a more recent version please wait until server updates. Which is the DAYZ-Expansion-Bundle PBO Error but when I go through the client it says I missing a mod even tho I have it installed

Please Help me, i cant play Day z outside of Namalsk ! i unsubscribed to the Namalsk Mods. then i tried to join a chernarus official server. I didnt work..It is a PBO error and it says that i need to unsubscribe to the namalsk mods. (but i already did) i wiped everything out even in the 221100 Folder but it still doesnt work. Help !

Ive come across a problem where my Dayz gives a PBO error with mods that i had installed for another server but already deleted, and reset my pc since i was having issues. Ive reset my pc and deleted everything DAYZ related and still no luck if anyone can help me with this this is the second time this has happened and its extremely frustrating to have to go through this when im trying to download mods for other servers.

For those who want to find the long number of the real mod. Copy the binkey of the mod and go to where the long numbers are and search it in the search menu. It should find it and click on it with the long numbers. 🙃
what is binkey?
do you mean the bikey in the key folder? jeeeeez
@@mikecalts it is a folder that holds what are activation keys (I think) and for example they look like this, "Expansion.bikey"
i cant find MORE NBC mod on steam workshop it shows me choose action and i cant join the favourite server because of this 🥺

Absolutely no idea why you got so many ads! I dont have any control over that I dont think. I usually get a load when I first start watching youtube for the day and then it calms down :/
Get youtube premium. No ads at all. They have a family thing that you can add like 5 ppl plus yourself for pretty cheap
My Problem: Using the in game launcher has never in my 3000 hour history worked for me. This is super common. I can type any community server in that I KNOW exists - and it WILL NOT show up on the in game launcher list. I have no idea why, but it has always been like this since I started the game. I'm only able to to select official servers, or community servers that are already magically and mysteriously showing on the list. Never have I ever been able to search a server I'm looking for, and it helpfully shows up and then I am able to play it. Never once. I can only use DZSA launcher. I wish I knew what this was....

I have all 20 mods to my personal server only me and friends use lan wise. and well. pbo error im pretty sure all 20 mods cant tell how many as theres so manny it just wont show them all. even though I added each one to the run/param/ect and it also says stuff like zomberry admin tools is at 'choose' ignore or choose one

@@JippyUK through my .bat / offical launcher it only works without mods. I tried just one mod and it doesnt work either.

All this for what because I sat there and download dayZ and something went wrong for no reason at all
I have Restarted Steam Numerous times, Restarted My PC numerous times, Unsubscriped from all mods Multiple times. Use 2 different launchers. and Still gives the same PBO on just one specific mod. Went and did you Tuturial. Still nothing. Im pulling my Hair out! Im going to need KEEPS

What I did was delete the file while the regular dayz launcher was open an then reinstalled it while the launcher was open off steam
the porblem is if closes the steam the dayz launcher dont work...
Yeah dayz requires steam to be running as the dayz launcher and dzsa launcher use the steam matchmaking apis to find servers and also verify that the version you are playing was bought from steam etc.

How do I find the ID folder fore the mod??
Copy the binkey from the mod and search for it in the folder structure and look for it under the folder with all the numbers.

All I had to do was individually unsubscribe then resubscribe to the files that were corrupted through the dayz launcher.

just searched for the missing mod and subscibed to it from steam
Yep if the mod is missing it's all good. People seem to run into difficulty when the mod has been updated on the workshop and either the version on their pc is out of date, or the one on the server which is when they typically get these annoying errors.
@@JippyUK and also for some reason the mod does not get activated when joining the server that is using it so I had to activate it manually from the launcher and when joining I use keep current selection, if I join using the setup option the mod will be disabled even if the server need it, it seems to be an issue with the server it self as it think that the mod is not required when launching but when you join the server it does. It's weird
had to wait for 7 minutes before just saying fully exit steam and open it again lol

I agree with you on that one, the mod adding and confusing of errors has never been fully addressed. Remember that this is a very old game engine wise in comparison to modern games. Frustrating I know though, sorry video couldnt be of more help.
