Plywood its most value for money wood what I can find in Tbilisi, to making jewelry bench with my simple tools. So i use a lot additional support system to make this bench solid like a wood slab table.

Followed you here from reddit. OMG you built the whole desk from scratch ! I haven't seen many desks, but I like this overall design. I also need the leather apron to keep small things from falling on the floor. I have spent years collecting discarded wood/furniture from the curbside. I disassemble and discard the cheap particle board pieces and retain the solid wood. I have made furniture with limited success from these odds and ends (I will need to post pictures somewhere). As I frequently re-use the nails and screws, there is zero investment. The only reason I attempted woodworking is because I came across a Sears table saw complete with accessories. It was obviously abandoned from nearby homes. I was able to make a stand for the saw from old office furniture and a metal cabinet. I have stopped collecting curbside since my yard was becoming a junkyard. This video was very informative !
