I just got a bricked copy of an authentic platinum game and I've been scrambling around to see if there was a way to move pokemon from a reproduction. This video is the first glimpse of hope I've had all day thank you so much for making this

I keep seeing real ones on ebay mainly, but I've still not bought a copy yet. I managed to get a real copy of HeartGold with the manual in really good condition tho lol

Since this was an answer to my question im glad you made this vid. I literally had a fake platinum and tested just trading pokemon in and out and it worked. But i ended up getting a legit heartgold used from Gamestop and it was completed with a Ho-oh! Lucky me! So i basically dont need my bootleg Platinum (gen 5) and i can confirm it's good to transfer and trade with.

Glad to see that repro copies can transfer to Gen 5! After learning that Gen 3 games can't transfer to Gen 4 if they're repro made me worry.
just found out that you can trade between real and fake gen 3 games, now the question remains if you can trasnfer a pokemon from a fake game to a real one and then migrate to gen 4 from there
I have transferred real gen 3 mons to my RePro HeartGold, However, I couldnt send them to a legit White. Had to trade to a Legit gen4 game

You don't have to move Pokémon one-by-one in Bank. if you press Start, you can switch to a multi-select option (green cursor).

So basically if you don't have an extra 3ds or not have anyone that has one, you have to spend 100s of dollars to do this..

Lol thanks. I was going for an angry / upset tone when saying “corrupt, scammed” and other words like that. Felt like it fit the narrative/ mood of being scammed or buying a not authentic game.

i have actually pulled this off from a gen 2 rom hack and moved them from emulator to pokemon crystal on the virtual console and sent them to gen 8

I really want to transfer my team from platinum (roms) to pokebank/pokehome legit (no pkhex or anything). I knew I need a cartridge version of gen 4 but it's too expensive right now and i just bought original white 2 too. Glad to know that you could do that with gen 4 fake since it's a lot cheaper. Gotta buy one fake pokemon platinum then, lol.
Well you can transfer from a rom you just need a virtual IOS/Android and your home account.
Sadly I cannot do this because my fake game is actually a flash card bought by a family member many years ago and my 3ds doesn't read the flash card. So I need to buy either a fake or legit platinum game lol but thanks for the tutorial, still helpful :3

I have tried this, but when I try to access the HeartGold save data via Download Play, I get an error message “The save data could not be accessed. Please turn the power off and reinsert the game card.” But reinserting it doesn’t help. Anything that can be done to remedy this?
I also get this error with a repro SoulSilver, maybe fake HGSS games don't work, but Platinum does.

I just got a rom of HG on my 3DS and have been wondering how to get the Pokémon up into home, thank you for the very helpful video! Sadly I’ll have to wait until I can purchase another 3DS but this method should still work by then!
You can use Pksm if your 3ds is modded to move your Pokémon from the older games into Pokémon bank that’s what I did

As far as I know there isn’t a gen 3 reproduction that pal park will detect even if your gen 4 game is real. Most gen 3 reproductions CAN trade with genuine gen 3 game though
But can you migrate Pokémon from gba to fake platinum?
I have personally imported from legit gen 3 to reproduction heartgold, but my repro couldnt import to a legit gen 5 game.

only platinum? i am pretty sure the pearl copy i got isnt real and when i tried transferring it to my real black copy it gave me a communication error (why im pretty sure it is fake) and its a shame :( thankfully i only payed like $10 so i dont really care + i own shining pearl but i really wanted to play the originals... i may just purchase a legitimate copy of platinum anyway

Can I do it with diamond? I really liked dialga at the time so I bought diamond, not knowing that platinum was "better". I have a diamond game, and although I would be sad if I couldn't transfer my pokemon to bank, It wouldn't be the end of me.
Sadly in pokemon bank has been counting down recently from ?40 to ?27... which I'm gonna make an educated guess meaning all pokemon in bank will be permanently lost and not compatible with nintendo switch. I hope I'm wrong though 😢

I keep getting a message saying the save file couldn't be accessed while trying to transfer from soul silver to black 2... I don't get why. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

@@ronaldhomsy2846 Yeah. Update to this btw-some cheap fakes don't even use the same save structure as real copies for some reason. Or the data will be somewhere on the card where the transfer tool just won't read it. Some fakes won't work with it no matter what you do, so as a warning to anyone reading, be careful what you buy.
Oh, and also, I was trying with a fake copy of Soul Silver. The same basic principles should still apply though.

That's true. But, if you have more than 30 Pokemon, you would need the annual, otherwise you will only have access to the most recent 30 Pokemon that you brought into Home.
