What pain, but it's now done well done boys. At 77 years old I wish I could still do it, it looks fantastic. Please could we have some more of your work.
Approximately 70kg each for those drainage channels. Top man Alex!! I know many a gym freak that would complain of some sudden recurring injury when it comes to a bit of hard graft, let alone lifting those channels. Great video again chaps👍👍👍👍.
Absolutely top job and great to also see it finished with the roof on to understand the complete design. Liked the sleeper edging which complements the concrete path nicely. For the MOT I always kept an American pointy shovel which works nicely and saves the back. Look forward to the next one.
Nice job boys, I have a tip for the asphalt open the bags and take out the plastic in situ then light it with a blow torch for 5-10 mins put it out with water then it spreads lovely and walks superbly
When your bag asphalt is like that, throw it in a wheelbarrow, stab it and mix with the end of a shovel and add some kerosene to help soften it up. Once it's down and in place, set fire to it to heat it and soften it.
One helluva job finally finished you two - and to your usual high standards. What a result from a really tough build site, congratulations guys! Hope you are doing OK Alex? Thanks for the uploads, again.
Fantastic work you two. You certainly put in the hours despite mobility problems. Thanks for the bit at the end to show it nearer completion. Take care chaps
I’ve looked at the comments on here and find some of them staggeringly negative. We were taught to lift each other up in all trades as it’s hard enough. We do concreting work every day and am impressed by your tenacity as it can be testing. Great to see your teaching the youngin that most work must be done by yourselves as profit margins are sometimes low and sub contracting can be expensive. Thought the concreting was done well on your own (with steps!). You’ve already achieved a day joint after day 1 of concreting and the expansion joints can be cut in the day after, so no problems there. Warms my heart to see good youngins coming through. Keep up the good work brother. All the best.
Seeing all that concrete, and just you, I expected things to go south. On the timelapse you could watch the concrete getting harder and harder to work. I expected water to be added and some point, and lo an behold there it was. Fortunately, jjst a sidewalk, so no big problems. A ton of really hard work, Steve. Well done.
i must say when you first showed the yard it didnt look big enough ,,but now it looks superb n them sleepers just finish it perfect only slight blip is where you relaid them flags n its just holding a bit of water

I was surprised by the end you hadn't gone into full Hulk mode.....although in the high Vis you sort of looked the part. Well done for sticking with it. The steps were an amazing bit of improv. 👍

Another job well done guys. & those steps are well made. Love the effect of the finish the owner had applied which makes them look even more awesome. Great job Owner ^5 sir. I would have considered placing a ramp to the right side of the house entrance for wheel chair access making it easier rather having to climb steps. Just a thought Guys. Don't chew my head off. & that cat sure does look cute. 😸 🖖👍
The garden is so big they can alway put a path in further round to the front to do away with a ramp altogether. 👌🏼. That cure cat would have had my size nine up it’s arse if I had caught it 😆😆🧱👍🏽
