Smoked sucker's are awesome. Even pan fried are good. Bones are a problem though. I do use the the head and guts for the garden.

I got turned onto suckers last year but didn't get a chance to try eating them. Now, with this C-19 thing my province has postponed opening day (April 15th) to some time in May....maybe. I'll probably miss our run. Sucks.

You eat too much, Papa. Lol. Never had sucker before but I would eat them out of that stream. Water looked so clean. We call them rubber lips here in Ontario, they come up after the steelhead to spawn in the streams. Nothing like fresh fish. Stay safe out there Papa.

Catch these fish in wild waters and you're good. Catch suckers, much less any other fish in or at least 40 miles downstream of any major city, and it's not good. You MUST be sure of the water quality that you harvest your fish from.
You're living my dream. Out in the middle of nowhere, no people, no cites and only wilderness.

Not sure why anyone would eat those nasty fish but ymmv bro.

Suckers and pikeminnow do not taste bad, they are just boney. They are actually very bland tasting and less fishy than trout.
