Yes I have on some smaller carp. You have to cut it down in sections for it to score them. This little one doesn’t handle them all that well. I do have a larger, heavier one that works better on the larger fillets. Seems that any larger fillet like a big carp will need cut up in small strips for it to work on them.
Yes it does. I remember my dad doing it by hand when I was young. We would fillet everything out one night, put in the fridge, and score them the next.

You should try to use an mixer beater in a cordless drill to scale them. It works awesome!
