I just wanted to say "thanks" for making this install spot on and easy to follow. You gave clear, concise, and accurate instruction and saved me a lot of time. I appreciate your approach to explaining how to connect the wires with T-taps, it worked seamlessly and my new bar lit up immediately!
I love this video becuase you can tell at one point he gets frustrated with installing it. During the punch scene and trying to tighten the screws. Its so true thats how i am when in stalling or fixing anything. Kudos to yall for showing how annoying/frustrating it is to install anything
could I cut off the skinny bar that goes across the middle and blocks the view of sliding rear window? love the roll bar but don't like that skinny bar
Great tutorial. I assembled it by myself. The only problem is the connections of the lights. I joint black with black and red with red, but when I push the brake my radio has a bzzz and i don't like it. Any solution?
ordered mine.. should be here tomorrow.. I do have a question tho.. the bar that goes thru the middle of up the upright tubing.. what size is that tube 1 inch?
For all of you that didn't notice, he had issues inserting the bolts because he failed to firmly press down the bed rail caps while drilling his initial holes which threw off his hole line up once the weight of the roll bar pushed the rail caps down (moved the outer holes lower than the inner bed rail holes). Food for thought, pay attention to your work.
So you got wire sitting there bridging the gap. I’d rather see an appropriate wiring demo but that’s more involved and will scare away paying customers
I just ordered one and it fits my 4th gen ram you have to order the right part number. Go to black horse off-road and find the part number for your specific truck. Mine came in very quick and installed perfect

How much does the roll bar weigh? Thanks

When I remove mine (it rusted bad and started to separate at the top), do I need to worry about rust where it was bolted onto the bed?
They need to design a rambox one where the rear bar folds up somehow to open the boxes.

Can we call it a roll bar as there is no connection with the chassis? How would it perform with an actual rollover... ?
Julian Pereira
What do you think?
Dave Butch I’m thinking Not
@@007Knightjp it's a scroll bar not a roll bar.
It would provide noticeable, but not 'professional' or 'competitive' benefits
Not a roll bar even tho in description it talks about safety.. that thing adds nothing if your cab crushed.
can you get different colour plastic?
Thanks really helpful!
Don’t use the rubber Orings they retains moisture and rust out the bottom. Also, anyone notice he didn’t install the light bar bracket?
He wasn't installing the light bar. I have this exact one for over 3 years and hasn't rusted by the O-orings
I would have run the wires around the edge of the glass to the bottom. So it wasn't so noticeable.
I need something without drilling my trucks bed
Did you ever find something that doesn't require drilling the trucks bed??
Wait, so these roll bars aren't really made to be rolled on, right? Aesthetics only?
Sportsbar not rollbar remember.
Only sportsbar all for show.
those holes you drilled look awful close to the edge of the lip, how are they holding up. I've seen some people have them rip on them?
never mind, i don't expect a reply since you didn't answer anyone else q's.
You have to make your own through the top. Dumb mount design
not compatible with my $600 tonneau cover.
All those tools just for that 😤
Do the brake light right or DONT do it at all!!! Looks ghetto.
i would never use this. That mount is hollow safety
Well don’t try it on a 4th gen Ram. Too wide by well over an inch. Have to ship it back.

Im in the same boat ordered the right part number n they sent the wrong one
rey1986 I deal with realtruck.com call them and explain and give them this part number for the 4th gen :RB002BK
Not reall a role bar as I wouldn’t trust it in a roll over
i think it would provide'adequate' protection. Not for a serious mountain ⛰️ crawl but for roll over safety
@@WET_EYEGASM it attaches to the bed so it’s only as strong as the sheet metal
