No selling stolen goods in SF without a permit. Remember that criminals. 😂

As if they'd ever have the police go confiscate from a vendor selling stolen goods anyway. The idiots would all cry about how "The mean evil racist SFPD are stealing from a female minority LGBTQIA+++ indigenous transgender person of color trying to run an undocumented business!", the actual enforcing of the law here isn't gonna look pretty, and they're not ready to deal with that.

Because arresting and prosecuting these people hasn't worked in the past. They get arrested prosecuted and then once they're out they just go back to doing it again, and more people being prosecuted never deterred anybody. California even tried sentencing people to life in prison after three convictions. Stuff like this still kept happening.

I know this video is from last year but also last year I called the police multiple times because some guys in our building (in SF) were selling drugs and buying stolen property (we had continuous traffic by suspicious people starting late at night until before dawn in our building (the buzzer at the gate would let us know whenever someone was coming to that apartment) after several calls the police came and asked me to provide evidence to them before they would go into the apartment to look for drugs or stolen property, so they basically asked me to do their job for them, another time I was arriving home late at night and I noticed one of the guys that sold stolen property to the drug dealers was waiting outside the gate to our building and I noticed a police car stopped at the red light and I ran there to inform the police about the guy with a duffel bag with stolen property, the officer was playing with his phone and asked me to "wait a minute" when he finally asked me "how can I help you?" I told him about the guy (who had already been buzzed in by the drug dealers) and he refused to go into the building to check on that guy and told me to call the narcotics division. I then called the narcotics division, nobody answered several calls I made and finally left a voice message and the recording said they would contact me later, they never called me back to this day, over a year after I called and left a message about the situation in our building. I stopped calling the police and moved out of the building.
A former neighbor told me that one night three armed guys broke into the building and broke the door of the apartment where the drug dealers lived and stole money and drugs from them, and the drug dealers called police to report a burglary and the police responded in a matter of minutes to help the drug dealers...

The Police forces of North America need to get back to near oppressive levels of traffic enforcement as a crime fighting - prevention tool. With laws in place that result in possible loss of vehicles, or at least impoundment, for using a vehicle in the commission of a crime. The cops will do nothing, and the DA will do less if the cops do something. The sad thing is that if a private citizen can do this sort of surveillance outside of his own window, you'd think that maybe, just maybe the cops could conduct its own criminal surveillance, surround the area with officers in plain clothes, and then hit them from all sides to make arrests. Of course, then the DA and the courts would work overtime to get them back out on the streets.
