Very well done mate. I was impressed with your panel beating skills. Most other restorers would have nickel plated all the parts you sprayed with chrome paint, but I liked your version showing what can be done without the fancy tools and equipment. Even the steering wheel; amazing. I knew as soon as I saw the colour that you had a little girl who’s a Barbie fan. What better gift for her. Thanks for sharing this with us. 👍🇦🇺👏👏👏
You need to prepare the metal for paint. Knock out the dings, do some body work and sand the primer. And sand some more. And once your done sanding, spray more primer and sand some more. Get the surface nice and smooth. Then paint. This is the second time you’ve done this car. That was a lot of rust for only two years. Learn to sand.
this is the second one of these cars i have seen restored on this channel. my question is where can i get one of these cars to restore myself for my granddaughter?
Not bad but I would have add working lights. As for the steering wheel, if you going to make one out of wood, you might as well use better wood and stain it instead.
don't spray WD40 on the bolt & screw heads when you have access to the threads work the dents out before you go after the rusty body, nice welding on the pedal crank mount that vice to your table or a slab of plywood & clamp it to the table a home-made sandblaster would have done a much better job of removing all the paint >> You do know you are working on a Delorean (Back to the Future) right?! They are not painted
В конце 80-х, такая машина была у меня, правда мне она досталась потасканной. Я уже не в том возрасте был, чтобы на нёй кататься, но привёл маленько в порядок. Давал братишкам покататься. Однажды пришёл дядя, снял руль и сказал - "потом верну, сын просит руль поиграть." Но, так и не вернул. А ведь его сын приходил ко мне и катался на ней. Машина без руля стояла в сарае, а потом исчезла, кто-то утащил.
Ничему жизнь не учит. В прошлый раз сделал плохо, сгнила Через пару лет опять сделал, но по качеству работ ничего не поменялось. Думаю, что уже пришло время ролик снимать про восстановление этой тачки в третий раз..

The paint job looks like a 10 year old kid done it, It looks like the paint was put on by a roller! Plus you should have fixed the original steering wheel and put it right back on the car!!

What the hell does your job have to do with restoration? Absolutely nothing!! No sandblasting cabin, no powder coating, wooden steering wheel ?! You should leave this work to those who can! That's all botch!

Sandblasting and powder coating will last allot longer and better finish.

Dude you really need to mount that bench vice, it's moving way to much, that can't be productive.

No filler? Painting on a rusty surface? Far away from a restoration.........., but nice to see the lucky girl because this is what counts.
If the car has survived for 43 years, I'm sure it would last for another 50 or more. It is a work of love, that's what counts!
