Hi Jeremy; first-off, love watching your videos, very informative. I own a Stihl fs38 ,I opened it up to remove the throttle lock on the top of the handle but when I rerouted the throttle cable,I routed it wrong & melted the casing now I have a new one, I'm trying to find a schematic of the proper rout of the cable from trigger to carburetor. Help would be great.
Awesome, thanks! Anyone, tips or tricks for getting the throttle to return all the way back after it's released? Was trimming today and noticed it revving high when I released the throttle. I saw that the plate the cable hooks into wasn't snapping all the way back to touch the idle adjustment screw. Thanks
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Thanks for the reply I understand now Also I have 2 FS 94 R trimmers we just use for back up now from day one we had problems with clutches going out the only trimmer I have ever had clutch problems with. I haver had Redmax, Kawasaki, Stihl and Echo's over the years.
my stihl weed eater goes full throttle when i turn it on. the throttle cable looks fine to me. could the carburetor need adjusting? need some help please
Scrwench?? lol. Thanks for the explanation and proper tutorial on this! Doing basic maintenance on my dad's old FS90R. Making sure it's top notch. Man he's had it a long time, and still runs great. Do you know where I might be able to find a new valve cover for this old 90R? Or a way to clean it to get the rust off of it... Or if that's needed? Just don't want it to rust through and pop a hole in there.
Submerge it into water and white vinegar for and hour or more if needed and then clean it throughly fine sand it, clean it even using alcohol then paint it
Good video. I have an fs 55 and the throttle cable screw is turning clockwise from vibration while in use and will not return to idle. It took about 2 full turns counterclockwise to get it back to idle speed. Is there a fix for this ? Have a good one from west Tennessee
Wait a minute, this video is confusing. First you said move the throttle cable this way to tighten it, then you moved it the other way to tighten it. Complete opposite or wrong use of words "cable" instead of "sheath". Either way, i don't understand how moving the sheath backwards tightens the actual cable. Can someone please explain it?
I'm glad you mentioned something about the throttle that the other videos failed to mention.
The Echo equipment is soo easy too
Work on. I really like Echo a lot
Thanks for the great videos and thanks for taking some of your time to help us out with your videos

Thanks for the tips. I knew this but i bet a lot of people don't understand how the stihl adjustment works
I’ve had to replace many cables on stihl vs echo
@@THEMOWERMEDIC1 Do they wear or break more often than echo cables?
@@nashguy207 they do because they have to slide rather than just pull

Any threadlocker, Loctite, etc. should do it.
Awesome

Need that done on my Stihl blower…any suggestions
Do a little adjustment yourself and try it out. If it doesn’t work try a little more or in the opposite direction.
Thanks!
Thank you!
Not all stihl trimmers have that adj screw...fs 91r
THANK YOU
Thanks very much!
