Huell , thank you for the videos you left us. I continue learning from them. I have been living in Chatsworth since 1985 and I didn't know as much as I know now thanks to your video. THANK YOU.

I grew up in Chatsworth as well. My family moved there in 1978 when I was 3, I lived off of Jordan Ave, between Lassen and Devonshire. I went to Chatsworth Park, Lawrence Jr. High, and Chatsworth High. I moved from there in 2003, but lived in the surrounding areas. The Munch Box is much loved by me.

My parents are buried next to this church… thank you so much for sharing the history about this beautiful location. I’ve lived in the valley my whole life and there’s nothing more exciting then learning more about it.

    Oh! My!!
This is where I grew up!!
And so Many Spots were Missed!!
Like the Elementary School, the Women's Club...the Rail Depot...The Storefronts that had Hitching Posts...way into the 60's.
Chatsworth Park and the Butterfield Rail Line....And the Original Huntsinger Turkey Ranch...
I Was, and Am Tied to Chatsworth...Since 1948...Before I was Born...
And BTW...I went to the Church when it was on Topanga Blvd...The Original Stained Glass Windows were 'desecrated' Long before the Church was Moved....
I went to Sunday School and Summer Vacation Bible School with Roy and Dale's Children...We did 'fundraisers' to buy Needy Families Goats....

Frankie!! I grew up there too! Moved there in 1967, went to Chatsworth Park Elementary (my 6th grade teacher taught Roy's kids!), attended Sunday School at the small Christian church on Topanga just below Stoney Point, hiked the Stagecoach Trail in 1971! Los Toros (last I was there a few years ago) STILL has hitching posts behind the patio area! How cool you went to that little Pioneer church, so happy it was saved! My dad, great aunt, grand parents, and one great grandmother are buried at Oakwood Cemetery. One of THE best towns in California to grow up in!

Did not know Mr Ed was born there and filmed there! I use to watch him when I was just a toddler. That was cute and never knew about a few of those sites. What nice people The Historic Society is. Loved that little church too at the cemetary. My Grandma had her ashes out there or we put them there when she passed in a rose garden area and her name is on a plaque there too. I read the people running that cemetary now for past few years are rude jerks though. Not the pastor but the emoloyees running the actual cemetary.

While he was at Stoney Point, he should have visited the Lone Ranger Rock and the Garden of the Gods - all part of the famous Iverson Movie Ranch

Won't the Chatsworth history folks want to landmark the house where Chatsworth's first porno flick was shot? Or maybe that designation is already in the works.
