it's rather eerie at moment 20:21 when he announces the date, because just days later, history would once again be made in Los Angeles, though in a completely different manner.
Went too l.a. city hall, fieldtrip, grammerschool,Will Rodgers, elementary school, Lynwood, California, 6th grade class,mr.charles holland, teacher, thank you for being so kind too all us kids, the field trips, were great,as was the class, from hangtown California. Didn't like the night at the top Scarry
Another episode there Huell goes up high and looks at something. This one isn't as bad as some of the other 'high' episodes, such as the Golden Gate Bridge or the wind turbines. This one is ok because it doesn't involve him hanging out over the side or (free) standing on top of something.
Talk about lazy! It's been 3 years since you posted that question. Did you ever take the 20 minutes or so to watch the video and find out for yourself?
Great to see how taxpayer money is being used. All those city employees making good money hard at work restoring the beacon, all on the public coin. These politicians never will get a clue it seems
I'd rather they spend 10 million dollars to restore a piece of history, than to give a single dollar to some moocher who has a list of excuses why they won't get a job.
Huell was one of kind that i knowe there will never be another one like him !!
Huell was truley one of a kind a true life person !!
Anybody wants to add a good comment feel free to add a comment. !!
“A bittersweet story since many of those in this video have passed away…”. I miss Huell!!
This was Huells last video according to IMDB season 17 episode 4 Rest In Power Huell !!!
Nice to see this show and remember my dad.
If you don't mind me asking, which one was you dad? Huell or one of the other guys in front of or behind the camera?
Mr22thou in Front Bob Hunter
@@DJhunta Okay! For any other nosy people like me, Bob Hunter, from General Services and Lindbergh Beacon hunter, appears at about 7:55.
Such a special memory and how proud you must be. Trophies carry dust but memories last forever.
In 2023 watching a video posted in 2015 which revisits a video from 1992 which revisits a video from 1990.

+b2rian lopez interesting note. Thanks for pointing that out!
+b2rian lopez I had the same thought when i heard Huell say that.
The riots ?
Good catch! The L.A. Riots began exactly one week later.
There's always much to complain about, but I love L.A.!
Great videos

Huell was in great shape, so if he was complaining about that climb, it must have really been tough!
I was wondering how they bring that heavy thing up and down from a building that high, very cool, I hope the light is still up there.
I was -2 years old in 1992!
wow its 4 years ago today that huell howser passed away.
January 7, 2013. He was 67, but looked so much younger.
So informative and loving my city even more...
Back in the days before the streets around city hall were the home of the homeless

A very good idea.....if you want your plane to try to land on spring street!
the griffith park observatory was started construction 1933. Could that have been the reason for the red light replacing the beacon that year?
No. That had nothing to do with it. If you watched the video and payed attention, you would have heard the explanation.
@@Mr22thou I was watching other videos about it too. Don't presume that you know what I pay attntion to.
@@maupinmaupin1472 You caught me. I'm not a mind reader.
Now I want to watch The Aviator.
Huell should have ducked when he passed that radar beacon
This could have been the moment Huell was doomed.
present time asking just way less time asking where is it now ?

That building looks like 2 balls and a shaft!
I see it now 🙃

nice ufo at the 10 sec mark , am i the only one who noticed that?
aleongray....that was a seagull.
@@sanddabz5635 ~Oh, yeah! What species of seagull?
I saw it! It came right out of the west side of City Hall. It was probably carrying Mayor Bradley's brain.
@@Mr22thou it was in the Laridae family
@@sanddabz5635 Of course! How could I have missed those markings?

that's nothing compared to the 12 million dollars A DAY that the terrorist state of israel extort from America !!!
