You are commenting on your van and the features you don't have. You can buy aggressive tires, and use chains like you are already using, and on all four tires. There is so much you can do with your van. You can start by insulating the walls and ceiling. Have someone install a fan or two in the ceiling at both ends. There are RUclips videos that give step by step on how to do just about anything in converting a van into a camper. Be encouraged! You can do anything you want. Take notes about what you want your van to look like. Experiment. Best Wishes. When I retire in a couple of years, I hope to buy a van and/or cargo van and convert that into a RV. You Can Do It!

Jon, hands down your BEST video to date. This video really demonstrated not only your physical toughness and well rounded skill set, but also your mental fitness. Not many people realize the determination required to camp out in deep freezing temps, the actually work involved, and the mental gymnastics that are constantly challenging. Not to mention the editing, drone footage, and music score. You did such a terrific job that several times throughout this video I felt you, your pain, and your struggle. Incidentally, this is your only video that I've watched twice back to back, that's how amazing I thought this was. In fact, I choked up near the end..that was raw, brother. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you're on the mend sooner than later. In the meantime, viet nam

Somehow, Made my day again , ( CHRISTMAS Day ) you helped me get through the pandemic , and now the aftermath , you truly are amazing , I lost my father , sister ( who had paranoid schizophrenia ,and yet loved everyone , and everyone loved her )my best friends sister , and in the end my best friend . You and your channel , got me , through it all . I'm biased , but to me your channel is # 1 in the World . Thank you so much . I've been going back and watching ,past videos , witch was great but it's even nicer that you made this one . I thoroughly enjoyed it . Merry Christmas to you and yours .

"Well That Should Definitely Make This Trip Interesting " LOL that's great , love your channel ! I camped in hurricane Sandy , trees with as wide as 12 feet around at thier base ,just 50 yards ( on a hill next to a Crick , that leads to the Delaware canal ( in bucks county Pennsylvania ) ) fell over . I had a tent , but I was sitting next to my fire ring , one of those truck rims , with one side cut , leaving about an 8 to 11 inch gap . I had my wood under a tarp , and just kept dropping a LOG in every couple of minutes , and the fire never went out , even though the fire was in a place whare the rain formed a tunnel right under my fire , at least two inches deep . Everyone thought I was nuts ( and tried to get me to come inside , a trailer, camper , house . ) But I was afraid that if I was inside I wouldn't be able to move quick enough , if something went worng , it was absolutely amazing , and mind boggling , one of the best times I've ever experienced . Oh at a place called dogwood Haven campground .along river road . It's amazing how little you can here during a hurricane , at one point I could see lightning , every close, and sense a disturbance something like a shock wave , but could not hear the lightning. It was that earily quite , because of all the noise ? Or barometric pressure ? Don't know but I've never experienced it before or since .

You should hot spray insulation onto the walls and ceiling to stay warmer for winter camping then start camperizing it, don't forget about the rear doors. inside the other doors but not the driver or passenger doors but if windows do not go up and down then might be able to do the bottoms.

I found that the Hot Spray should be 2-3" thick hot spray to help you stay somewaht warm. Make sure you do the Ceilings that way it won't drip water onto you, or glue blue 2" Foam or pink but do not use the cheaper white stuff as it does not stand up as well.

Gerday mate, Love the outdoors, would love to go camping in the snow but in Australia we dont have a huge area where snow is open to all. Its true we get more snow than Swirserland bit thats not saying much. What we do have is heavily policed to keep campers in registered camp areas, where its about the same cost as a motel. So stupid, there really is plenty of room for all. Still people gotta make a living so when winter brings the people to syruggling towns they have to make the most of it. Best of luck to you, enjoy your life as much as you can. Friendship & the freedom to enjoy iy. Peace out, Wayne

My babydoll , Jade is 12 years old now , her breed ( neo bull , part neopolaten mastiff , , part American bull dog ) is only supposed to live to 9 , 10 years old , she loves people and all animals , still thinks she's a lap dog , was 128 pounds in her peak , now she is 90 something , bit doesn't always get a long with other dogs , she has to be the dominant one " queen bitch " lol. Today she has bad hips and a bad knee , dosent want to go down or up steps , but she always stands and looks . ( I think because she wants too . ).

Happy New Year! I don't remember if I commented about it in the original video, but as far as your chicken with cream of mushroom, it brought back memories from when I was younger. My mom makes chicken straps (non breaded) with cream of mushroom over rice, I believe she added sour cream to the cream of mushroom to make it thicker....good stuff and I'm not really a fan of mushrooms lol

Congrats on the Aquisition of Sasquatch ! Camping out of a Van is a great way to do things i think the E Series Vans will bolt on some of the F Series Pickup Frames including some of the 4X4 Models if you try to buy one built by Quigely it’s going to be expensive and many of the newer ones were done with the EPowerstrokes that have their own set of issues that you need to pay for the BulletProofing and some other Mods to make them last in which i’m not a fan of i know Ford had issues getting enough of the Vans built in the 1990s because they were using the same Assembly Line the Excursions were being built on and those were in high demand my Uncle bought a new one through Ford and paid for the Quigely Conversion to be completed in their Pennsylvania Shop it’s sharp partially a Sportsmobile but he kind of lost interest after his Military Retirement Plans changed from pulling a Large Winter Packaged TowxBehind Trailer to live in Alaska he wound up living on his Property inLouisianna while they had a new Home built and stay South Year Round

I've always wondered if you ever tried to improve , the plow disk ? It seems to me that if you could just find an easy way to make the legs stay in place ( like put , weld something on one side of the legs ) so when you moved it from the fire to anyware it would stand on it's own easyer . Maybe put two little pieces of metal to form a Y that fit through the eye hoke so when in place they stay thier even when you pick it up . I've been wondering about this for years ... Now ? Oh and that was really cool . Thank you.

I can remember being a Young child , and a ranger ( ? ) In a national Park , told us that using an axe , to spilt wood , against the grain , was bad , like super bad , most people today spilt wood , long ways ( against the grain ) instead of from the top ( with the grain ) and would have absolutely lost it if anyone put the ax head on the ground , I get it , that you need to oil and sharpen ,an axe but boy did he obviously take this to extermes .

I understand having gas for a backup but why if you already made the fire? Would you b using gas to cook on Especially something that takes a while to make? A dutch oven and a cast iron skillet go a long way. And just an old grate off a grill. And they wouldn't take up any more room than that thing that you're cooking with. Just my opinion. The thing is cool though.
