This episode is proof that even though they're scaredy cats, Shaggy & Scooby are most definitely the bravest of the group. Since they actually make it off the ship but immediately follow it once they discover the rest of the gang is held captive. They don't run away, they immediately try to save their friends. That's fucking awesome.

Heck in legend of the phantoscour shaggy has to medically swear off anything he finds scary. This includes mysteries. Shaggy is then bored out of his skull for the solid ten minutes they don't have a mystery. I like that detial.
These Scooby-Doo videos are terrific and it's nice to see a new one because it signals that Doctor Wolfula still grants occasional autonomy to the young man whose body he possesses.
Nowadays, this episode's best remembered for its "Whoa, what a password!" meme. 😆💀
It's been so long since the last Scooby Doo's Day that the notification was honestly quite surprising.
Probably, because someone is stupid enough to not have "Yo-ho-ho and a Bottle of Rum" as the password. Damn censors.
The way Magnus's butler says, "yeeeeeesss?" It makes me laugh every time. It's drawn out and it sounds funny the way he says it. 🤣

I found it funny how Magnus/ Redbeard was like "I'm not eating that so I'll just make you two eat it."
2:46 The butler was probably staring at Mystery Inc because he was in on his boss Magnus's plans to steal his own cargo as Redbeard for the insurance to stop himself from going bankrupt.

fun fact this was the very first piece of scooby doo media I saw as a child on vhs back in the early 2000s it also had that snow ghost and an episode of power puff girls where bubbles hair got turned into chicken

I woke up at 6 am and had some toast.
Watched this and was seriously looking forward to the second half of spiderman and his amazing friends vs sandman.
But for some reason it wasn't on and I had to watch an hour and a half of smurfs

This is the first episode of Scooby Doo Where Are You? I watched as a kid so it’s always stuck with me for that reason, not one of my favourites admittedly but it’ll always have that sentimental value to me.
Probably because it establishes that the Mystery Inc Gang are helping out to make things better, and that Red Beard got more to do to show he’s not one of those one-dimensional disguises that only had one repeated line or constantly growling.
A classic episode with some great fun. Have this episode on a VHS tape with 3 other classics and watched it ALL the time. I know this episode like the back of my hand and still get a kick out of it. Also it's the only reason I know what dry ice is so it even ended ip being educational. Who knew🤷♂️

Don't feel bad Doc, even I thought you could cut through dry ice and eat it like a donut as a kid. I guess Scooby can (Doo) just about anything. Plus I got to give a shout out to the late John Stephenson the most unsung element of classic Scooby Doo.

Makes no sense the guy would pretend to be a ghost to scare people away and yet take prisoners and make them cook.
Huge flaw in the plot.
Guess he was being so committed to being in character that he would ask for grub, just to troll Shaggy and Scooby by making them eat the grub they cooked.
