I love Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese pho, Greek, Polish, German, Italian and Spanish food. I grew up in Chicago a multiple cultural area. Chicago proper btw minutes from the Loop.
French is my favorite. Traditional french food is what I learned to cook for my late FIL. He loved to have the memory of hos time in France from.my food. I would make Coq Au Vin with cracked black pepper and cheese souffles for him. And learned a new recipe every time he visited. I love all cuisines but a traditional cassoulet in the winter makes you feel amazing like you are loved. 😉
We love hearty Texas/Cajun food. My mom is from Wisconsin so I was raised as a 'meat and potatoes' Mid-West recipes and casseroles girl. My husband is from central Kansas so he likes savory meals as well. When we moved to South Texas, we learned to love spicy Tex-Mex but have tempered those hot jalapeno spices with smoother Cajun flavors from our neighbors to the East in Louisiana. We love savory with a hint of heat that doesn't burn. We are definitely casserole people too because I like to make them ahead of time like you. When I was working and hubs got home before me, I'd make the casserole ahead of time and leave it in the fridge the day before. I'd top the prepped casserole with foil and in a big sharpie I'd write on the foil, "350 for 45 mins" . He'd pop the casserole in the oven when he got home and when I got home later, dinner was ready! He'd proudly proclaim, "I cooked for you!" LOL
Both of these casseroles are going on my menu this week! I am a mama of 9 and these recipes will help me feed all of them. 👍☺️Thanks for helping me with my meal planning and I always love your scripture at the end!
Our favorite food is Southern American. Dishes like sausage gravy and biscuits. Green beans with bacon or cabbage with bacon. Greens with ham hocks. Chicken fried steak. Chicken and dumplings. Salisbury steak and potatoes. Home style macaroni and cheese casserole. I could go on and on.
They both look delicious Amber!! Thank you for sharing your wonderful recipes with us. I'm definitely going to make the chicken alfredo with rice. Have a blessed and beautiful Sunday and week.
I love a casserole. I made a beefy orzo skillet that was inspired by your videos to go with my Mandy green beans last week. I didn’t have everything that you used, so I just made it my own. I love to cook like that.
hi to answer your question pasta has always been my kind of recipes to make. my favorite one I cook is with italian sausage. and it has shredded cheddar cheese, spaghetti, sausage, not too spiced up but very flavorful. also in it goes diced tomatoes not drained and classico tomato and basil sauce. spices I use are just ground black pepper, basil, and pinch of crushed red pepper flakes only sometimes. it is very good! also I am a big soup and rice lover too!
Thank you for sharing your recipes. I love adding either broccoli or mushrooms to Alfredo. I love Mediterranean & Asian ( more so Japanese) food & will be trying that orzo dish soon.
Thank you so much Amber! I love your knowledge of spices and flavors! Have you ever tried Armenian food? The flavor profile is very similar to the recipes you share but it expands on the choices of proteins and spices! I hope you have a wonderful week! God Bless 🌻🙏
You can't camouflage the peas but you can grate the onions, he'll never notice. (Just don't tell him) I've done it for years, my son wouldn't eat onions. If you love mediterranean flavours, try cubing feta cheese with cubes of watermelon, its delicious, serve on a cocktail stick. My favourite foods are Indian, not too hot but the flavours are just out of this world. I do like mediterranean flavours too, I really fancy making that greek chicken casserole. Thank you so much for sharing. xx
I love your orzo recipes b/c there's no butter or cream. I tried your orzo and chicken sausage recipe and I'll be making it again and now, I will surely be trying this one as well. ❤
I also do not use oil, butter or cheese. Quite often cheese can be omitted altogether. I substitute oil for the butter (usually far less needed also) and I like to use oat milk instead of cream. Its thicker than milk, and I usually thicken w some cornstarch. I have used evaporated skim milk also. Hope that helps!
You really need to visit Greece. One of our favorite places. The people and food are wonderful. We are international travelers so we try to mix things up during the week to have a variety of dishes. We do love Italian and Asian foods the most. We will be trying your Mediterranean orzo for sure and add the lemon and thighs. Thanks for the scripture verse.
I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos!! And I'm so thankful for your support. We actually decided early on that we wouldn't share info about our kids. Although most people we meet are incredibly friendly and kind, there are some crazies out there!! 😁
Amber, what size are your cans of tomatoes??? I looked at your printable & it does not say. I also zoomed into the video & cant tell :( We have 2 pretty standard options around here. I always buy the 796ml size... I have a feeling that is too much!
This is what I think of peas and onions.... 🤮. So I get your husband not liking them. I won't even touch an onion, EXCEPT for my mentally challenged sister. We all love liver. But my sisters and my husband love the onions. Well, ONLY for my special sister, I WILL touch an onion. I make 2 separate pans. One with the onions and one without. My special sister and my husband look forward to the way I make liver and onions. But I only make it on HER birthday. It's her birthday dinner. Her birthday is this Thursday and she asked me today when I was picking her up. I usually take her for 2 weeks to give my older sister a break and it's around her birthday most of the time. But this year, I can't take her, so I'm going to go visit them and make dinner. Mary will be surprised. She is 65 on Thursday, but with the mind of a 7 year old. She's really special to me. I can't wait to make your alfredo sauce. I made it yesterday with parmesan for spaghetti. It didn't taste right. Now I know it has to be the real cheese. Thanks!!!!
I love Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese pho, Greek, Polish, German, Italian and Spanish food. I grew up in Chicago a multiple cultural area. Chicago proper btw minutes from the Loop.
What about Indian cuisine?!
I love some of those too!
I love Mexican, Indian, Greek, Italian, Chinese, all of it. I'm not picky at all and I love to try new things
Thank you! This would make a great summer salad too with cooked chicken.
That is a great idea!

Mexican is probably might go to favorite with Italian being a close second
These all look so good! Like you, my favorite cuisine is Mediterranean, with Indian a very close second. I think we could be "Restaurant Friends"! 😊

Amber, I love your recipes but can you post your Alfredo recipe please?
She clearly gives all of the ingredients and measurements as she is making the Alfredo Sauce, just get out a pen and paper and write it down!
Hey!! All of the links to the recipe are in the description box of the video. Hope that helps!

Amber, what size are your cans of tomatoes??? I looked at your printable & it does not say. I also zoomed into the video & cant tell :(
We have 2 pretty standard options around here. I always buy the 796ml size... I have a feeling that is too much!
Most of the ones I get are 14oz. Sometimes I buy the larger ones but we get the 14oz ones in bulk.
I think the orzo would be better with the alfredo
That’s a great idea!
😋👍
Mexican - creole - cajan
Good old home "country" style, but I have to say Italian food.
Alfredo sauce is Keto friendly...oh until the milk..lol
