Theory: What if at the start CG5 was trying to call out for help? I mean he did look like he was gonna scream. And yet he still just said: Play that funky music! As if he was being controlled? He didn't sound like a scream, more of a yell. This might be because the lasers might be also controlling what he says. Also I think that's Piper Rubio's Scream at most of video. And also CG5 does feel like he's being controlled. At the start of the movie he did get disposed by a red TV. So basically to round it all up... maybe the frontman is the black hand thingy? What if he is an old enemy of CG5? Let me know you're thoughts.
My theory is that the lazers are somehow forcing Charlie to dance, in certain shots, we see Charlie moving in odd ways like he is trying to break free, it is like the lazers are pulling him back

Strange lights were seen coming from musical RUclipsr CG5's house earlier today.
Police were sent to the area and left in a state of confusion as to what they were even doing there.
I may be reading into this too much. But, i think of most of these lyrics to be foreshadowing for the actual movie.
In the line "Turn nothing into something new, its all that i want", i certainly feel this could be whatever force that took charlie speaking though him and revealing its true intentions.
In fact, to me, this whole song sounds like somewhat of a villian song, especially because of the major to minor chord change in the last two choruses. I feel the entity inside of Charlie is relishing in it's control of him.
However, in the line "will you hold me while you close your eyes and tell me sweet lies." I feel this could be the actual Charlie reaching out through the fecade and begging for comfort from the horrors of the tape's control.
In short, i love the song due to it's potential for its subtle double meanings aswell as its catchy hook. I love your music CG5 and i always will! I can't wait to watch the full UMove movie!🟥📼
