He's got a kid. Five different channels, four of which complete the wheel. He was in the FNAF movie. He's got his own Stupendium song. Mat really did reach it all before leaving. Some of it not even that long ago. Hits different now. Not to mention that this is just an absolute bop as always, and all of the details are fantastic. That arcade hall with the editors and guests like Austin or GaijinGoomba, some of which are long gone, really just hits home. Absolutely love it.

I thought this was gonna be a much more goofy and meme-y song, but it's actually really meaningful in a lot of ways. Not only is it a beautiful tribute to MatPat and all his work, but it describes why people love the Theory channels so much. They're fun and a little silly at times, but one of their main missions is to encourage curiosity. MatPat started the channel to explore the science of video games because it's a topic he's passionate about. And it's influenced a lot of people to be curious and theorize. This song, while full of memes and references, is about the true heart of Game Theory and why we love MatPat so much. He's curious, kind, and passionate about his interests. Just what the channels encourage us to be. (It's also just a really catchy song in general)

I watched the first video of game theory the last video of Matpat run on game theory then I watched the true ending and then I watched a little theorizing.
Man this now has quite a new meaning now. He will be missed. He was a large part of everyone's childhood. I hope him and Steph enjoy the much needed break.

As someone who has watched Game Theory for almost longer than I can remember, who has seen the channel go from one dude in his closet addicted to Diet Coke to a multi-channel network with so many people working together and a truly massive community, this was amazing. All the little references in the video, both in the text and purely the visuals, some so incredibly niche I would never have remembered them on my own but which this unlocked again, just mind blowing. Add on top a song that holds up as an absolute banger even without that pre-knowledge and I can’t even. This will be blasting on repeat for a long, long time. Thank you
As someone who used to hate MatPat for his theories, and despise his ideas Then eventually getting older and realizing that is was… ALL JUST A THEORY And the started to enjoy his videos for what they were, theories and lil jokes And eventually got into FNAF during late 2022, watched every MatPat FNAF theory and started to love him I can confidently say, this video… WAS THE BEST. Haha, funny how I used to think he was annoying. Totally don’t think that anymore
@@JudeWasHere17i still dont like him because "Thats just a theory" is treated less like a disclaimer and more like a catchphrase, leading many of his audience to simply believe what he suggests without thinking further. While its not necessarily his fault his audience misinterprets his videos, he certainly could be better at disclaiming that everything he says is more opinion than fact.

I agree. Something I have said after matpat passed the torch is matpat/game-theories is that he made a era of RUclips he marks that era of gaming RUclips as he is the meeting point for anyone in the gaming community he just does as many left during the final years of this era

@@owo_xanax5200 @Volt64bolt long answer short Stupes has been invited to GT (not)live a few times before. Following the first of those videos, there was about 3 months where I didn't watch any matpat, and was instead binge watching all of stupe's songs on repeat. I do not regret it.
For a while I was absolutely convinced that the honks and yelps spaced throughout the song were Morse code. I was wrong, but the mere fact that this song got me to listen to it at a fourth speed with a pen, decoder sheet, and notepad means that it truly embodies the theorist spirit.
My heart hurts watching this. I love the song so much but watching the music video and realizing that Matt has truly left his channels (in the public eye, at least), even GTLive...I'm proud of him but it's saddening. That part of my life of seeing that he uploaded a new video is gone. The new hosts are fantastic, but nothing can replace the nostalgia of clicking on a video and hearing him say "hello Internet!". You did a fantastic job with this song, and it's a perfect send off. It's entire emphasis on community kinda makes me smile, because, yeah, we're all theorists. This is the PERFECT way to say goodbye to Matpat. Damn near made me cry, it’s so lovingly crafted and surprisingly emotional. It really feels like the song that represents the end of a chapter, but the beginning of a new one. Absolutely phenomenal work!
This song feels more like a love letter to a game theory then any other game theory song. Everything from how the characters move to the editing feels so much like an actual game theory video. The song is absolutely amazing as always, you outdid yourself with this one stupendium.

After 6 months of listening to this song, I've realized what makes it so nostalgic to me. There's the obvious fact that MatPat and Team Theorist was a big part of my life, but the other part is that this song has huge RUclips Rewind vibes. Not the last horrible rewinds, but the previous ones (2014-2016?) that everybody loved. A quick musical summary of all the parts of the Theory channels that we know and love, set to an upbeat melody that makes you wish you could rewind and watch Team Theory grow alongside you again. Oustanding work by The Stupendium as always.

With the recent announcement, this feels more and more like a finale song. The type of nostalgic number filled with endless callbacks that you'd hear playing over a montage at the end of a beloved TV show.

Sadly I didn’t find this masterpiece until after watching matpat’s farewell video. It was actually my youngest son who was jamming to it (our whole house loves game theory lol) Me and my husband pulled it up and watched it from the beginning and when I tell you I SOBBED! This song is fantastic! It has so much crammed into it that I keep finding new things every time I see it. It’s a wonderful snippet of game theory and shows exactly what we have all come to love about matpat and this channel. I can’t think of a better way to say goodbye than for us to have this piece of this channel with him that we can all come back to whenever we might feel the need. I’ve since showed my older boys both of who were very upset with me for showing them because it got them right in the feels as well, but that’s what art is supposed to do. Make us feel and this is 100% a work of art! That being said I’ve watched this at least 6 times now and it hits hard Every. Damn. Time… Now if I could just desensitize myself to it enough that I don’t cry when I watch it that would be great 😂 Mat and Steph really owe you a clap and a half for this one! Kinda feels bittersweet hearing the recent announcement but I would have never wanted Mat to leave in any other way. Still feels nice he'll still be there he helped a lot with my childhood. I grew up on his channel and I loved it. I remember listening to those theories for fnaf when I was in the hospital. I would pay so much attention to them and just be completely captivated by them. It kinda felt like I had a friend when I was watching them.

Not gonna lie, I'm sat here crying in my room at two am. Nearly broke watching Matt's video, but rewatching this was the final nail in the coffin. I've watched Game Theory since the second FNaF video, it's been around for the majority of my life. Matpat was a massive part of my childhood, and is the reason why I decided to learn. School did me wrong, Game Theory did me right, and this song actually gave me chills and made me cry. Matpat has always been there for me for years and I hurt. Idk what I'm gonna without him. From learning how to survive a leap of faith to understanding the fnaf timeline there are franchises I love more now then I did be4 or didn't know they existed till matpat talked about it. And without him I'll hurt for along time.

I was getting overwhelmed just with the chorus previewed on Game Theory, but this was blown entirely out of the water. @@noneofyourbusiness4133 Ronnie Onnie Edwards. One of Mat’s oldest friends and coworkers. He edited some of the early Game Theory videos and ran the show Digressing and Sidequesting. You know he worked on a video if characters are made of simple geometric shapes and have teardrop shaped limbs. He committed suicide a couple years back.
It's not always that Stupendium makes a wholesome bop, but when they do, and _especially_ when it's such wholesome support of another channel that I could not have seen coming a mile away, it always goes hard. The entire song is so feel good, each reference just serving to celebrate Game Theory's history! Also I absolutely love the editing, it feels like a combination of Stupendium's and Game Theory's styles, and knowing that you actually worked with Game Theory on this to achieve that is amazing!

Not only is it a beautiful tribute to MatPat and all his work, but it describes why people love the Theory channels so much. They're fun and a little silly at times, but one of their main missions is to encourage curiosity. MatPat started the channel to explore the science of video games because it's a topic he's passionate about. And it's influenced a lot of people to be curious and theorize.

As someone who has watched Game Theory for almost longer than I can remember, who has seen the channel go from one dude in his closet addicted to Diet Coke to a multi-channel network with so many people working together and a truly massive community, this was amazing. All the little references in the video, both in the text and purely the visuals, some so incredibly niche I would never have remembered them on my own but which this unlocked again, just mind blowing. Add on top a song that holds up as an absolute banger even without that pre-knowledge and I can’t even. This will be blasting on repeat for a long, long time. Thank you

While its not necessarily his fault his audience misinterprets his videos, he certainly could be better at disclaiming that everything he says is more opinion than fact.

Following the first of those videos, there was about 3 months where I didn't watch any matpat, and was instead binge watching all of stupe's songs on repeat. I do not regret it.
For a while I was absolutely convinced that the honks and yelps spaced throughout the song were Morse code. I was wrong, but the mere fact that this song got me to listen to it at a fourth speed with a pen, decoder sheet, and notepad means that it truly embodies the theorist spirit.

My heart hurts watching this. I love the song so much but watching the music video and realizing that Matt has truly left his channels (in the public eye, at least), even GTLive...I'm proud of him but it's saddening. That part of my life of seeing that he uploaded a new video is gone. The new hosts are fantastic, but nothing can replace the nostalgia of clicking on a video and hearing him say "hello Internet!". You did a fantastic job with this song, and it's a perfect send off. It's entire emphasis on community kinda makes me smile, because, yeah, we're all theorists. After 6 months of listening to this song, I've realized what makes it so nostalgic to me. There's the obvious fact that MatPat and Team Theorist was a big part of my life, but the other part is that this song has huge RUclips Rewind vibes. Not the last horrible rewinds, but the previous ones (2014-2016?) that everybody loved. A quick musical summary of all the parts of the Theory channels that we know and love, set to an upbeat melody that makes you wish you could rewind and watch Team Theory grow alongside you again. Oustanding work by The Stupendium as always.

Sadly I didn’t find this masterpiece until after watching matpat’s farewell video. It was actually my youngest son who was jamming to it (our whole house loves game theory lol) Me and my husband pulled it up and watched it from the beginning and when I tell you I SOBBED!
This song is fantastic! It has so much crammed into it that I keep finding new things every time I see it. It’s a wonderful snippet of game theory and shows exactly what we have all come to love about matpat and this channel. I can’t think of a better way to say goodbye than for us to have this piece of this channel with him that we can all come back to whenever we might feel the need.
I’ve since showed my older boys both of who were very upset with me for showing them because it got them right in the feels as well, but that’s what art is supposed to do. Make us feel and this is 100% a work of art!

Kinda feels bittersweet hearing the recent announcement but I would have never wanted Mat to leave in any other way. Still feels nice he'll still be there he helped a lot with my childhood. I grew up on his channel and I loved it. I remember listening to those theories for fnaf when I was in the hospital. I would pay so much attention to them and just be completely captivated by them. It kinda felt like I had a friend when I was watching them.

The first time I listened to this, it came across as a celebration of all those years, all those theories, everything we were raised on.

Not gonna lie, I'm sat here crying in my room at two am. Nearly broke watching Matt's video, but rewatching this was the final nail in the coffin. I've watched Game Theory since the second FNaF video, it's been around for the majority of my life. Matpat was a massive part of my childhood, and is the reason why I decided to learn. School did me wrong, Game Theory did me right, and this song actually gave me chills and made me cry. I've been a massive fan since the original House Always Wins, and this song... It just hit my heart so hard. Thank you Stupendium, thank you MatPat, and thank you to everyone who works with Stupes and Team Theorist. Thank you for being a light in my darkness, I'll never forget what both of you - and your teams - have done for me.

Damn, I missed such easy motives so much, I even shed tears from the nostalgia for endless theories and the old days. This is just INCREDIBLE! Not only is it _perfect_ at representing the Theorist channels, it ALSO pays homage to almost every game/media franchise they've ever done a theory on! This very well might be the most ambitious crossover in history.
kinda weird that only three lines where dedicated to fnaf though, lik mario got the same number which is kinda weird (What happened to the guest that where left on that restaurant though, FNAF box will ever open, Marionettes) (Super mario, Dissect a toad, and rich as luigi)

Everything is perfect: the song, the lyrics, the video, the easter eggs, the cameos of all the theories members. Your voice has that perfect pitch for the entire song. Its just a song. A beautiful well made song.

Matpat has always been there for me for years and I hurt. Idk what I'm gonna without him. From learning how to survive a leap of faith to understanding the fnaf timeline there are franchises I love more now then I did be4 or didn't know they existed till matpat talked about it. And without him I'll hurt for along time.

This is genuinely just so fun and full of heart, you can really tell it's a project of passion. I was getting overwhelmed just with the chorus previewed on Game Theory, but this was blown entirely out of the water. I managed to make it to Ronnie at the end before I just busted out sobbing :') I'm so glad that this was made, and I'm so so glad that he's not being forgotten. Thank you for this. Really.

Ronnie Onnie Edwards. One of Mat’s oldest friends and coworkers. He edited some of the early Game Theory videos and ran the show Digressing and Sidequesting. You know he worked on a video if characters are made of simple geometric shapes and have teardrop shaped limbs. He committed suicide a couple years back.

It's not always that Stupendium makes a wholesome bop, but when they do, and _especially_ when it's such wholesome support of another channel that I could not have seen coming a mile away, it always goes hard. The entire song is so feel good, each reference just serving to celebrate Game Theory's history!
Also I absolutely love the editing, it feels like a combination of Stupendium's and Game Theory's styles, and knowing that you actually worked with Game Theory on this to achieve that is amazing!
