    Yesterday I bought 19 diff solid fabrics & have my temps & color chart ready. Since we are 2 weeks into the month I will work to catch up. I know you are sugg the high temp on top & low on bottom so hope I can keep them straight. If not I can refer to my temp chart. Maybe an erasable pen to label on back of ea & baggies for ea month as I don’t want to assemble until all my blocks are together. That way I can decide to go horizontal like you or vertical. I have a similar temp range & I am marking our rain days. Thanks again for sharing your tips, I am very excited to start. 🤗

    I h/b wanting to make a temp quilt for almost a year now. Thank you for a very clear explanation of the basics. Your quilt is so beautiful & altho I never work with solids you may have convinced me this is the way to go. 👍

    This is such a great idea and technique! I had heard the term ‘temperature quilt’ recently, but did not know what it was. It was not explained at all, so thank you so much! You are a pleasure to watch!

    I’m fascinated by these temperature quilts and temperature cross stitch projects. I am in Houston so my quilt would have very few blues!

    I’ve been on the fence about doing a temperature quilt this year. You make it look do-able. I think I will give it a go. Thanks for the video.

    I love this. Did you also somehow show what the weather was doing i.e. snowing, sleeting, raining, sunny, thunderstorms, etc. We are having a weirdly mild winter here in Minnesota so I may log the temps for a bit before making my fabric key. Making half square triangles is very doable and makes a stunning quilt. Thank you so much

      Thanks! I didn't add anything different for precipitation in my quilt, but have seen others do that!

    Any suggestion for if the high & low fall in same color? Would you just do a solid block? Or still do the HST to have the seam?

    • @MaterialGirlQuilts
      @MaterialGirlQuilts  Год назад

      It's totally up to you! If you want to keep a seam just so it doesn't look like the start of a new month, you could do a HST with the same colors. Either way would look good I think.
