Leaving Lamar Jackson of that list is actually nuts
They rank by skin color

@@mr.nmtrue5059lmao bratha going straight to race like a goddamn Muppet
he definitely just forgot about lamar lol
@@blapbIapKind of easy to do when you just vanish in the biggest games during the playoffs.
Dan looks like he farts on camera.
He could totally bag your mom
Danny dumps

I'm surprised that they don't insert fart sounds while he's talking
A lot.
The QB market is never paid in relativity to the actual rankings. Kirk Cousins/Joe Flacco/Deshaun Watson/Jimmy G have all been the highest paid at some point.
good point
You can’t put Deshaun in this when he got paid he was top 3
@@xavieonedavis1318Deshaun hadn’t played in over a year when CLE threw that money at him. So he definitely wasn’t top 3.
@@xavieonedavis1318 In terms of guarenteed money he was.
@@jtmmmm27 top 3 qb in the nfl
Lamar hearing these names go by like.....huh??
Lamar is like Dak: great until the playoffs
Lamar a bum. Same with Ravens. Big SUS
They only lose to the Chiefs on the playoffs
Y'all delusional
Ty’s chimes are an underrated highlight
If Daniel Jones got what he got from the giants it's kinda hard to expect Trevor Lawrence to take anything less than even that contract. He's not a top 8 or 10 qb, but the market price for qbs is just paying a ridiculous amount currently and it's only going to go up.
Then I would let him walk
Daniel Jones is a mistaken outlier salary that will probably cost Schoen and Daboll their jobs.
I don’t think that gets seen the same because it’s just a bad contract
He’d be getting paid off name value and not consistently shown ability then
@@jasonj5862there is rumor they’re looking to move on after this year because of the way they built the contract. There is a supposed out this yesr
Trevor Lawrence doesn’t deserve to get paid 50mm+ a year. He’s mid tier at the moment with the ability to be in the top 8 QB.
@Rob_G716 I totally agree with you, I really think that Lawrence does better this year. Then the conversation has to change and get that 50mm.
Kirk got that and more and he's the exact same record of wins in the playoffs
He won more playoff games than Herbert or Kyler
Since when does playoff wins make you better? Maybe makes the team better, or coaching staff better, but you can pin playoff wins entirely on one player.
He's the same as Herbert, they are the "Kings of Mid"
Let this sink in...
Win/Loss (after 25 games):
Lawrence - (25 starts: 5 wins and 20 losses - 20% winning percentage in starts);
Minshew - (22 starts: 8 wins and 14 losses - 36% winning percentage in starts; plus losses in three games where Minshew came in relief and played 1/2 of game). In three additional mop-up games - Minshew has thrown for 34 yards on 3/4 passing, with no TD and no INT.
In 25 games for each QB - Passing Yards - Lawrence (5481 yards); Minshew (5948 yards)
Passing TD's - Lawrence (22 TDs); Minshew (41 TDs)
Passing Interceptions - Lawrence (23 INTs); Minshew (12 INTs)
Passing Attempts - Lawrence (879); Minshew (855)
Passing Completions - Lawrence (532); Minshew (540)
Passing Yards/Completion - Lawrence (10.3); Minshew (11.0)
Career QBR - Lawrence (75.9); Minshew (93.9)
Sacks - Lawrence (44); Minshew (65)
Low IQ comparison:
Playoff appearances:
-Trevor Lawrence (2)
-Gardner Minshew (0)
Playoff wins:
-Trevor Lawrence (1)
-Gardner Minshew (0/ Career Backup)
😂
Minshew better than Tlaw. I have found my people
So you are saying you would take Minshew over Lawrence correct?
@@MissTracyLynneXO What I'm saying is that Lawrence isn't worth the big contract. When someone like Minshew puts up similar numbers but has essentially been a back-up aside from starting on a very bad Jacksonville team, the system is flawed.
Can I just remind you, 2 years ago on your progrum, Dan Orslopskis stated that Carson Wentz was a superior QB to Jalen Hurts.
Tone kinda looks like the guy from Dude Perfect with the backwards hat 🤔
Just a bit fatter and dorkier
I feel like whatever Dan O says, the opposite happens. As a jags fan I’m excited
Jags mid
Bucs got Mayfield for around 35 a year. Seems like such a steal if someone like Lawrence is commanding 50m.
Mayfield and Lawrence play at a similar level fr
Never
Believe it or not mayfield has been in a lot better situations than TL even after moving around. Let that sink in 😂
I may eat my words but if I could have one for the next 3 years, I’d take Baker right now.
@@o0usf0o never
how is this a hot take
Saying Kirk more proven is wild
He named 12 and didnt even mention the 2 time MVP Lamar, we see the disrespect....
No doubt … total disrespect!
Lamar is no longer a QB, he identifies as a RB that throws the ball once in awhile.
its QBs not RBs
Lol won’t be long until QBs are all black , you gonna hate it 😂 just got two more Caleb and Jayden
@@Hank_Amarillothen these other QBs suck becuse Lamar has beat them all
Phenomenal 2nd year. Last year he had the Jags as the #1 seed in the AFC until he injuries his shoulder the last play of the titans game. Beats the Texans the following week. Then rolls his ankle and tears his knee on the same play against the Bengals. Coupled with multiple injuries on the O-Line and Receiving core throughout the season… He did all he could.
Trevor had 4 different injuries last season but tried to play somehow. Knee injury for the Thursday night game again Saints on Oct 15th. High ankle sprain grade 3 against bengals on Dec 4 at end of game which we all thought would be season ending. Head concussion on Dec 17th
and then shoulder joint sprain on Dec 24th to top it all off.
There's a reason they fell off a cliff once he got hurt, he wasn't able to cover up how putrid their O-Line was (quickest colapsing pocket in the NFL last year and 29th ranked run block win rate). Took him getting hit 18 times to beat Buffalo for reference. Not to mention they had most points lost on drops in like the last 7 years. Dude isn't top 5, but he's far from bad and playing with the train wreck that is the Jags lol.
Big facts.
Tone looking like a member of Dude Perfect.
I feel like Trevor's NFL experience has been very similar to Justin Herbert's. Immensely talented, but the lack of support, whether it be the coaches or the players+injuries, is a tough hill to climb.
Herbert just got his best chance with harbaugh to get what he needs to be good
Similar experience sure, but Justin Herbert is a much better QB.
Herbert had the weapons but no coach. Now he has a coach but no weapons…
@@wickedsickfunkyfreshroller2037And yet somehow Trevor won their playoff matchup lol
Except Trevor has a playoff win at 23
I love how they always push Dan I love that relationship 😂😂
Dan showing up carrying a skateboard asking what’s up fellow young people.
He named Purdy hella quick. Purdy helps his team not lose, he doesnt help his team win. He might be the 6th or 7th best player on his own team.
If They don't pay this man someone will
Who?
🤣🤣🤣 Lawrence's hair is more talented than Danny O. Still don't understand how this guy is an "analyst."
If Kirk Cousins is getting 50 M’s I can assure you Lawrence will be getting more, whether it’s with the jaguars or not some team will pay
3 year for 150mil,
But the pay structure is 30/40/80,
But only 10 million from year 3 is fully guaranteed ( signing bonus). So if he doesn't play well it ends up being about 2/80m, and if he kicks butt he will get the full 3/50 m a year.
Dan Orlovsky looks like a middle school kid who just got back from laser tag with that hat the 20 wristbands
Jeff Gordon shirt goes hard
Let us all be reminded of a couple of 3 things: 1: This is Jacksonville. They have two notable names in their 30-year history(Brunell and Leftwich). 2: This is a team that is leveraging their way towards either an entirely new building or a massively revamped one. 3: The money has to go to somebody. Ultimately, every team sans Kansas City is in this same predicament. Every QB, not named Mahomes, has flaws that negatives the price tag they have acquired.
Garrard>Leftwhich
Let me remind you Trevor had 4 different injuries last season but tried to play somehow.
“it’s done”
😂
Ok but how come nobody talks about how much the players actually make? Everyone talks about the top line number, but Trevor is in Florida with no state income tax. So he'll be seeing way more of that than a lot of players in other states.
Love the Jeff Gordon Tee! 👌
Pat, Burrow, Allen, Stafford, Cousins, Tua, Rodgers, Lamar, Stroud, Herbert, Purdy, Goff, Love, Dak, and Hurts. Trevor Lawrence is 16 on my list. Give or take 2 spots.
Lmfao your list is garbage
Did they leave off Lamar?
They did and you know why lol. People keep ranking Josh Allen and Justin Herbert high when they’ve accomplished next to nothing. Lamar has two MVPs and people conveniently forget in convos like this.
100% did
Their qb tier list goes by skin color
@@mr.nmtrue5059 or it went by actual qb. Take ruining game away lamar is abysmal
How the MVP of the league isn’t named as a top QB is suspect.
Before we brand him a bust, remember Jacksonville had the #1 pick because they were terrible. They are still building and much improved. Any QB achieves or suffers based on their supporting cast. I expect he'll be better this season.
So did the Texans, but they quickly became a powerhouse last year. Burrow went to a bad Bengals team and got them to the SB as well. No excuses. The great ones get it done.
@@sonikspeed19 burrow had two of the best receivers in the game. Be so for real, you cannot compare that bengals sb offense to what Trevor had to work with
@@shivnerine1 Burrow is also in one of if not the toughest division in the NFL. Trevor is a terrible division, which has recently become better. He had enough to get things done but hasn't. CJ Stroud got it done first year with a throwaway Texans team. What's the excuse there?
I would never in my life take Tua or Cousins over Lawrence Dan
NEVER
If I erased your memory of everything about Trevor Lawrence before he got to the NFL I don't think you would be so sure about your answer particularly when it comes to Cousins
@@jmiller9972 I would 100% be sure lmao. It has absolutely nothing to do with his collegiate career. I don’t even watch college ball. Plus he was injured last year the prior was a good year
He’s the best QB the jags have ever had. We need stability down here in Duval. We’ll pay him. Hes only 24 years old. He can continue to grow.
Hell no he wasn't Mark Brunell took the jaguars to the playoffs 3 different seasons... so stop with the nonsense
@@kevindukes8185 I knew somebody would comment about mark brunell. He never scored more than 20 tds a year with the jags. I think it’s a close comparison right now and I’ll bet on Trevor’s upside.
T-rev has played on some really bad teams in Jacksonville. He had some injuries last year but Joe Burrow has been absolutely injury prone and he got the bank.
Also took his team to the superbowl
@@daltonsmith6926 Getting paid 55 million a year to miss half the games seems like a bad contract in any stretch of the imagination.
Better to pay him now than wait next year where you might have to pay him $60M a year
Good to see you recovered from the live air fart, thank yew Dan.
It's been 3 season calm down and he has like 58 touchdowns to 39ints , played hurt all year like theres no guy that's a 24 year old QB that's not on a playoff team that's doing better, he has all the natural talent and it is highly possible that the jags is not for him , last year you he was considered mvp level make up your minds
Hot take, I don't think hurts does either
I’m with you there
I agree but taking your team to a super bowl skews market value, whether or not he had a ton to do with it. Fuckin Jimmy garopollo was a top payed QB at one point.
A qb's salary after the rookie deal is always a millstone for a franchise.
If you haven't got close in the first 5 years, let them re-sign for less or let them walk and hit the draft.
Seriously didn’t mention Lamar?
Man.
Leaving Rodgers out of the top 5 is cold of pat to do
What did you do last year?
Rodgers, is no longer a top 5 QB and that's ok to say
Of all the QBs drafted in the same class as Trevor, he's the only one that's still starting. There aren't many QBs today that could have endured what Trevor had to endure his rookie season and then make the playoffs the very next year. Trevor is gonna be getting $50 million...easy. Stats aren't going to be in the negotiations because of Daniel Jones.
Named all them QBs but no Lamar Jackson?? Crazy work
Thought I was tripping
Somehow forgot to mention the 3 time probowler, 2 time all pro, 2 time MVP Lamar Action Jackson... weird. Probably knew Lamar fans would mention him in the comments and get his clip more engagement.
Trevor Lawrence will get their this season might be his time to shine
Philly phans getting pumped about seeing what Kellen does with Center😂
Mediocre quarterbacks get overpaid because teams are so scared of being stuck without a quarterback that they'll lock down anyone that looks half decent. As a result the highest paid player in NFL history tends to be the most recent QB that got resigned. It's going to take some guts for a team to play chicken with their okay QB and offer him a salary that truly represents his level of play and let him walk if he gets a better offer somewhere. Then they start the process anew and hope the next QB they draft is the type of guy worth paying more money than anyone else. This idea has been discussed in theory in regards to surrounding a quarterback with a strong team while on his rookie contract to go for a Superbowl. But the second part seems to be to overpay that same QB and then struggle with a weak team because so much cap space has gone to one player. No one has really tried the idea of letting that QB walk and start the process again with a new guy on his rookie deal.
T. Lawrence is the Powerhouse Hobbs (AEW) of the NFL.
I hope at least one of them gets a main event push soon
Go ahead Jags, let TL hit the open market. Someone will pay him top dollar, no doubt
It’s called having to pay the small market tax
To be fair only 1 of those 8 that did get paid deserved it
He doesn’t take a pay cut it’s Macsonville
Jags need to trade for Higgins!
he's not a number 1
I want a QB salary cap. The other 21 starters need money too.
Not giving credit to many men says a lot
Dano is right though Trever definitely has the ability to be a top 5QB but will he get there. The nature of the business though I see him getting 45-50mil
Lamar off that list is crazy. Josh Allen not being the first name out of his mouth insane….
Oline bottom 5 oline in pass blocking every year hes been in the league. He was balling out last year until he got hurt, he just now finally got a true deep threat wr1 in BTJ. Hes been making it work with a bunch of wr2s and wr3s. Evan Engram was called a bust leaving NY. This is an absolute awful take. Like something id expect from Colin Cowerd.
Teams really need to look at what they are gettimg into with this QB money. If your team doesnt scout and draft well and can move smartly in free agency then youre placing the team in a hole
So he basically a top 10 QB
He’s going into his 4th year. Why would they extend him yet? They don’t have to, they don’t need to. You wait until after the 4th year, you still have the 5th year option year. You get the extension worked out in the offseason after the 4th year. And if you extend him now you better be signing him for Baker Mayfield money, because that’s the level of play he has given you so far at his best. And he hasn’t been at his best very often.
Most QBs, if not all, don't deserve that money, its beyond inflated
Pay Running Backs
Trevor got like $30 million worth of bitcoin when he signed his contract. It was around $35k at that time. If he didn't sell any of it then he is already ahead of the others.
If you don't pay him that's the biggest mistake
Nah it’s time to have a discussion about Justin Herbert. You’d think a guy as continuously glazed as him would at least have a single playoff win.
As a Clemson fan and Titans fan, I was scared as hell of him landing in Jax. I’m not anymore.
As a Texans fan seeing him play twice a season I’m not afraid of him. He’s a good qb but not great. Can he be great yes but there other things wrong with Jacksonville that they won’t address like having 3 number 2 wideouts. No true number one wr will hurt him as a great qb
I’m also a Clemson fan/grad and I became a Jaguars fan because of Trevor and Etienne. I was kind of a Panthers fan before that, but it’s really hard to pull for the Panthers nowadays. Trevor has had a mediocre supporting cast around him and all he needs is the right players that mesh well with him and a much better o-line to do very well. I’m hoping that BTJ will turn into a number 1 WR, but I’m also kinda salty that we didn’t gun for Tee Higgins.
If Dan is low on Trevor, Im all in on him. This guy is incomparable in his ability to misdiagnose a qb’s progress. I mean Justin Fields was supposed to be a 2023 MVP candidate according to Dano
Good take by Dan. If he didn’t have the hype around him out of college people would call him what he is: a mid qb who only has the talent to be top 12 in the league. Tired of people acting like he deserves a $50 million+ contract when he has just been an average qb
Imagine being Trevor Lawrence and Dan Orlovsky talk about what you deserve
This take is a hot steamy fart
Really? Did these guys forget the Jaguars had the number one pick in 2022 and Trevor literally through the team on his back to have the 3rd largest comeback in playoff history to Justin Herbert and the Chargers. They then went to the divisional round of playoffs to Chiefs Kingdom and lost by 7 points. 😂
Brock Purdy lmao 🤣
Rightttt!!!!! He said himself "guys who help their team win". Purdy just helps his team not lose he doesn't help his team win.
I think it’s one of those situations where you pay him bc someone else will if you don’t
Did he really say Jordan Love? Who only had half of a good season in his first year starting? 😂😂😂😂
Is $50 Million really "the going rate for Quarterbacks" or is it the going rate for quarterbacks who have reached conference championships? Which is it?
Going rate for QB’s
Lamar wasn't mentioned, what an absolute criminal move
I'd say Trev played the biggest tole in the comeback win in the playoffs. What qb in his 2nd years throws 5 td's when down 30? Let alone in the playoffs
Plus throwing 4 interceptions in that game. 🤷🏼♀️ These people would take Trevor for their Qb in a heartbeat 😂
0:29 noooo we don’t only the YT ppl
Didn't mention the MVP
“Pffffffffffftttttttttt” - Dan O
Trevor is only 3 years in. I think he'll be a top 5 QB at some point in his career
No he won’t not even close
I agree
I’ll take him in Minnesota anytime
These guys always define top QBs as players whose team wins because of them, then list a bunch of guys who haven't won anything. Cousins, Allen, Love, Prescott, Tua, and Herbert haven't won anything but regular season games and a handful of wild card games between the lot of them.
Trevor Lawrence is basically this generations Philp Rivers 🤷🏾♂️
That makes zero sense
Rivers was so much better than what Lawrence is now it's not even funny
herbert is
After Rivers age 24 season he was 17-30, 148 yds, 1 TD, 1 Int on talented team. TLaw 1,116-1,750/11,770/58/39 with probably the worst offensive line football over those three years. TLaw has a higher ceiling potentially because he's got a stronger arm and mobility.
How tf did y'all forget about Lamar Jackson when running off the top 8 QBs lmao
Love that Jalen Hurts gets the injury excuse when we all saw Trev get destroyed on TNF against the Bengals and had a shoulder and knee injury. But whatever. Run with the narratives you like...
Because we saw Hurts at his best get the Eagles to the SB and 1 play away from winning it against Mahomes. Trevor has won the same amount as Danny Dimes. But y'all fanboys have him at top 10 when he hasn't shown elite play, nor elite winning. He's going to be the Dak Prescott of the Jags. They'll regret paying him so much that they can't support the rest of the team.
@@sonikspeed19 I’m not throwing hade towards Hurts. I really like him as a player, but I think it’s ridiculous how much hate Lawrence gets. I think people think he has top 5 weapons in the NFL and refuse to give him the credit he deserves for elevating the guys around him.
In year 1: none of his starting WRs, TEs, or RBs are either starting anymore or in the league. Plus he had Meyers as the HC who is arguably the worst HC of all time in the NFL.
Year 2: he get’s Christian Kirk who is a good player but never had a 1000 yard season before Trev, Zay Jones who had 1,879 yards in the 6 seasons before he came to the Jags, Engram who was considered washed after his time with New York, and ETN who was coming off a lisFranc injury.
Year 3: he gets Ridley who had not played for 2 seasons, and his WRs drop 15 TDs which Ridley dropped 8 of the 15 TDs. He had a bottom 3 o-line, and suffered an ankle, knee, and throwing shoulder injury.
We have seen Lawrence elevate the guys around to have career years (Kirk, Zay Jones, and Engram), and we have seen him play at an elite level in the 2nd half of year 2 and was playing really good ball before he got injured in year 3.
I hate the narrative that gets placed on Lawrence because if you really watched the games he does some incredible things that most QBs can’t do.
I wouldn’t put him in the top 5 conversation (he definitely has the ability to put himself in the that conversation with talent he has). Trev has to correct something’s that’s for sure, but he has done enough to prove that he is a franchise QB worth paying the money he deserves.
@@Davy904 You proved my point with that essay. He NEEDS A LOT OF HELP so if you're paying him max dollar, they won't be able to support him with other talent and they're gonna need him to be top 5, which he isn't. The max is for QBs that are difference makers, and TLaw has not shown to be that. If he need help, then take a pay cut so they get better players around him and he wins more. Otherwise, he'll get the max and they'll be irrelevant. Meanwhile, that division keeps getting better and tougher.
@@sonikspeed19 where did you get “NEEDS A LOT OF HELP” from taking guys that didn’t do much before they got to the Jags and Trevor elevating them to have career years?
The only QB that doesn’t need almost any help is Mahomes. We have never seen Burrow without elite cast around, Josh Allen became a different QB with Diggs, Lamar has been made a living on his feet but everyone complains about him needing better WR, Dak has always had a great cast, Stafford has been good without much help but elite when he has a good cast, Tua and Purdy have the best positional groups around them, Stroud has good players around. Shoot even Kirk Cousins has always had studs around him.
QBs need as many great players around as possible or you’ll end up like Trevor who had one of the highest drop rates that included 15 TDs taken off the board due to his WRs.
Every time they don't mention Lamar he gets stronger
You are right Trevor hasn’t earned the right to a Big contract , he has to earn it , let’s see if he kicks ass this year he has too bring the team into the playoffs
Lawrence has never done anything to warrant how he's talked about. He's basically the 12th-16th best player at his position... At best.
lol it’s the QB market he’s getting paid he’s the best option for the Jags at this moment
Ive watched every game. I wouldn’t handicap my jags chances too upgrade the roster by giving trev 50+M in a non taxable state. Redzone turnovers have killed us. Hes good & gives us a chance but hes not great at his job yet. I want to see him play this 2024 schedule
Trevor signs with the Jets next season.
He needs to get OUT of Jacksonville
As a long time Jags fan, I was hoping they could have duped the Bears taking him for the #1 pick. He is a turnover machine that doesn't protect the ball and seems to close his eyes or not look to where he is throwing the ball.
As a Jaguars fan, we know he doesn’t deserve the money…BUT we also know there aren’t any better options in the foreseeable future
I mean he hasn’t had a great offense but there have been QBs that do not elevate their teams that got paid.
My biggest thing about Lawrence is they claimed he was a “generational talent”
But in all reality he’s just very good at everything you want a QB to be
Even in college he had a solid arm, great accuracy, good mobility, good size, and was smart
But nothing about him was ever “elite”
Mahomes has elite pocket presence and the ability to extend plays then find a wide open receiver
Allen can fit the ball in any window, is a powerhouse running, and has the strongest arm in the nfl
Herbert has a cannon and is insanely accurate
Lamar is one of the fastest QBs we’ve ever seen and has a top 10 arm
Lawrence never had “generational talent”
He just was always above average at everything a QB should be good at
