yes, we need seasons, that would add so much more variety and strategy! if wardens did better in winter and collies did better in summer, it would give each side the ability to recover, and regain players after a rocky start.
So ice is a straight nerf to warden logi and defense. While collies get further ease of use with choice in rain to bypass puddles. Great just great... Ice should be much higher risk of falling in for making the choice to cross. You stop you fall through regardless of weight.
Came across a documentary about mud during war. After it has had an army march across it, and been rained on with no drainage, it basically turns into quicksand. Men die to the mud, not from exposure or trenchfoot, but from getting stuck, sinking completely underneath and drowning. There are some horrid letters from men watching their fellow soldiers slowly sink into what seemed like a puddle but was actually sucking mud several feet deep, just watching your war buddy sink down.

I'm not being sarcastic at all - whilst weather can be annoying, I like how they are continually adding extra depth to the game, and this fleshes it out into a full feature rather than a random annoyance The only thing I really dislike about the game (beyond some minor balance points) rn is how annoying it is to transport fuel, given it is used so fast, especially with the increased frequency of snowstorms

When the Warden destroyer breaks through the frozen ice the ice at the bow end of the ship just vanishes. It would greatly benefit from a short animation that shows the ice being pushed down under the hull.
Looks like a good update. Time to test the military application of the new freighter and if it can outcompete the battlebarge as an early war battleship.
I mean, compared to Inferno and the Naval Warfare updates yes. But don't get me wrong, this is an impressive update to the game. I think they just didn't want to overhype the players.

I would love evolving map. Like an hexe in wich there would be a dam and when broken it spawn a wider river or it flood a valey wich would permanently affect the war going on, basicly if you are loosing you might choose to blow up the dam to give yourself some respite and maybe after 3 irl days the river become once again just a stream wich allow for the enemy to push back again, maybe you could lure enemys in a valey and as your tank line is loosing and the enemy push with vigor you decide tou suicide your own troops by flooding the valey.

maybe Weather should be connected to seasons. for example -winter: *long night, short day *snow events more common -summer *longer day, shorter night *overheating mechanic *drought or rain/storm events ect..
the weather changes are huge I love the thought process behind them. the quality-of-life improvements are great too. really looking forward to this patch. p.s. thank god they're changing the sniper as it stands now, they're utterly useless the crosshair dial down time is abysmal.
Been gone for about a year, getting back into the game. One of the reasons I left though was because my small group did navy stuff with gun boats and we missed many targets due to the garbage turn rate of the gun boat... Has that been improved? :(
Great update. Just worried that the facility husk update will nerf partisan demolition of facilities. There should be a difference between enemy destruction of facilities (some % penalty of stored materials) vs decay (no % penalty loss of stored materials)
Ive been a huge proponent for the sniper rifle for a very long time. I appreciate you guys fixing some issues that I've brought up. I still find the fact that you cant use the sniper rifle while standing or crouching to be too large a hamstring though.

Your dev stream is cute but when are you going to add Rmat spawns to the map? FYI we are no longer in 2020. there are 32 more regions and industries but the Rmat spawn has not been increased. It's not normal to go to war to get it because the big teams put it on the field and block it 80% of the time from farming on it.
Sniper rifles need to have the CHANCE to one shot down someone, its good not to be 100% guaranteed but it needs to be a 50/50 or at least 40/60 because they cost rmats come in crates of 3 and can't fight in close quarters, I have refused to use ironship since they were "updated" any sea logistics has been done solely with barges, even with their single container limits, if the ironship even gains back 10-15% of its original mobility I WILL TAKE IT.
Another pile of manure instead of improving the game. BMS - Bowhead Making a medium-sized ship with a crane that allows you to independently collect and unload cargo from the shore is a no-no. Logisticians must suffer, as if in this hellish game there are not a million reasons to suffer elsewhere. Creating a clumsy, huge log with a cometary cannon will not save you from gunboats - yes. It would be better if they did something for logistics, in half of the regions the roads are “total crap”, there are already more cars than these roads. It’s as if hobits were built in the cities; you get stuck at every turn. The factories were broken, now every alt can destroy tons of resources and electricity with impunity, and you can’t do anything about it. The passive defense of factories does not work; it is pulled by every savvy partisan. There are now resources in the boxes with “goat poop”, the resources in the bunker bases are melting like water in the sand, and the developers are again making some kind of mess with the road. Have you at least played your game, huh???
The game is great, then comes the artillery. There is no gameplay with hours and hours of non stop shelling, so don't bother making any 'improvements'.
