    Hey Thanks for using my footage for this stuff! I remember the devs told me when i made an HOUR LONG video similar to this one that even they, having worked on the game, couldn't believe some of the shit they had back in 2016
    and yes profiles 100% need to come back. Come on you know the devs have been playing Baldurs gate, give us back those RPG-esque elements. Let us put in our profiles what our soldier's native region is, why we joined the war Etc.

      The ability for folks to post their contact info, their own maps or other creations, to embiggen a player’s identity in-game. I really do wish there was a friends list mechanic of some kind…maybe a pub or telegraph office that could make it more immersive?

    I played a crap ton in 2018-2019. I played mostly during the start of world conquest and the first 20 wars or so. But honestly the time I miss the most was right before WCs, hopping on to campaign servers and just being a truck driver. Running supplies back and forth from the QM to the front. Also helping drop the first nuke, and witnessing the wardens blow themselves up in Jade Cove was hilarious. This was a great vid and brought back some memories. Would love to see more footage from those first 20 wars!

    I miss small arms structure damage. Sure it wasn't "realistic" but it was far more immersive, being able to actually push a front by shooting out foxholes and assist in destroying structures as infantry. Nowadays you reach a defensive line as infantry and just.. stare at the defences, usually waiting for a tank to come along and pop pills for you. Bringing your own PvE as infantry is also a massive pain due to 1. How little ammo you can carry (and the time it can take to run back to resupply) and 2. How vulnerable you are to getting rushed down, only really being viable when you have an overwhelming amount of friendly force (at which point you might as well just let the tanks take care of the defences for you)

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад +18

      I miss this as well honestly. To many stalemates these days. If you aren't waiting for tank to come then you have to wait for arty to set up which can take even longer.
      I want something like satchels back but not at the strength they were once at and I want something little more accessible than havoc charges. Ya know? I can't explain it very well but something in the middle of both of those.
      Thanks for sharing your input on this! Appreciate it!

    • @goombo2567

      i agree it was much more pratical. made the game flow better gave infantry a easier time

    • @Laireso
      @Laireso Год назад +4

      Same goes for tanks. You carry just a few dozen shells and when you leave to resupply enemy engineers rebuilt every T2 bunker you destroyed and at night you can't keep up the pressure so unless your infantry pulls their weight you don't keep any progress. I have to agree, shooting defenses and satcheling AT turrets or focus firing them with tanks was some of the best gameplay I've experienced in this game. Now it's all about OP 94.5mm guns and clans because of facilities. Such a shame how the game turned out.

    • @joetheperformer
      @joetheperformer Год назад +3

      Yes, I have found that realism doesn’t make for a good game. Sometimes, a game can stay a game, and it’s all the more fun for everyone.

    • @The_CGA
      @The_CGA Год назад

      Hmm
      Would it help if there was a bunker or encampment upgrade tree that allowed the owner to set up “kits” for folks to pull? Like if there was a “demo man” kit that players could be pointed toward?
      I will also say, there’s a layer of player adaptation that’s right there in reach. I use ambulances, amphib APCs, construction vehicles, jeeps or just plain old trucks packed full of mammons or alligator charges. One of the nice things is that when one can’t just cap the flag, the mission changes, that’s what makes foxhole something more than Battlefield or Day of Defeat

  • @planetfall5056
    @planetfall5056 2 месяца назад +3

    9:40 I always loved when we teched sledgehammers because it made gathering fuel so satisfying. The way fuel gathering worked was you had three stacks of barrels, and sledgehammers gave you enough reach to stand in the middle of the three stacks and be able to spin around to hit all of them without needing to move which was nice, but the best part was the timing! The instant you hammered the last of the three stacks, the first one respawned. So you could just stand there and as soon as you finished a stack you spin 120 degrees and swing, and the next stack materializes as the hammer comes down. Zen.

    I think asymmetric balancing if done right can be really fun, instead of just having the same exact thing over and over again, giving different equipment can really diversify the tactics and culture of each faction, it’s cool to capture an enemy tank and use their strength against them as opposed to just getting more an more of the same equipment

    • @1paulandrew
      @1paulandrew Год назад +3

      I think the game is balanced asymmetrically, each side accuses the other of having OP weaponry and complains bitterly about their own armament. I think having the skirmish map with all tech unlocked for both sides could be fun, but I'd never want to see a war with each side having the same tech

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад +1

      Capturing enemy vehicles is for sure one of the best parts about asymmetric. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this!

    • @redjive_industries3760
      @redjive_industries3760 Год назад +2

      Asymmetry has always felt like more of a draw than a deterrence for me; I fully understand a lot of the complaints that have been made about it, but the longer I play the more I realize that the imbalance in capabilities during certain phases of the war makes things a LOT more exciting and interesting; the early war back and forth as different side tech their respective gamechangers is much more interesting.
      I think the only thing that *really* maybe needs to be addressed is some complaints I've seen about difficulty using certain vital equipment in the late phases of the war for one of the factions. The frontline equipment seems to balance out at that point but there's some specialist stuff that I think people are justified in complaining about.

    Hey, thanks for featuring my Bunker Base @8:54!
    I know that building can be tough and burn people out, but the bunker was built by only 2 people and was made that compact to help reduce burnout by only keeping the minimum that we needed.
    Playing and building in moderation is the key, in my opinion.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад +1

      No problem! Thing was massive!
      Crazy that you only had 2 people build that. How long did it take? How many hours do you think you put into the whole thing for the whole war if you don't mind me asking.
      That's a good tip! I want to be a serious builder for a war but I'm nervous about the time it takes ha

    • @Danetello_
      @Danetello_ Год назад +3

      The base took in total ~30k bmats and between 80k to100k comps for concrete. The designing was done over a 4 month period, but actually blueprinting and digging it took ~6 hours.
      For the whole war, I probably spent 40-50 hours(most being in the first 2 weeks when the main construction happened.) just working on the base over the 41 days of the war with the other person playing a similar amount. This time was mostly gathering material, and supplying the base
      The base was in a small subregion that we ensured remain very good to good, costing us 4800-7200msups/d. We could farm the msupps in an hour or two a day with us rotating between supplying the base as we had time.
      For most of the war, the base slept as it might look big, but compared to the clanman bases, ours did not cover a large area. I know these hours might seem a lot some people, but compared to the bigger builds I've been part of, this one was fairly easy on the time it required. As I said before, we really tried to optimise all the unneeded and excess out of the base so we could focus on what's important.
      We never ran a facility outside of an ammo one for 2 days(so we can get shells). Trying to overbuild is what leads to burnout and choosing the wrong locations. The base was built in one of the few places that could house it, since it needed perfectly flat terrain with no tree. So while it might not be practical everywhere, it was a proof of concept to help inspire other builders, more than anything else.@@RobertLovesGames

      It would be nice to have something that could express more area control in the deployable and buildable space. Even just a tripwire alarm or booby trap shotguns. But truth be told Foxhole is already flirting with Planetside 2’s undoing-so much automated defense and buildings spammed across the map taking away the opportunity for two real, live players to chase each other around on motorcycles.
      Players that choose to “build tall” and spend all their time spamming defenses really can ruin it for the warfighters, scouts and skirmishes. It’s a very fine balance and we are in a decent place right now I’d be very careful about upsetting.
      It’s kinda cool there’s a whole Military Police “partisan hunter” “backline security” playstyle.

    Biggest problem i see with building is. Make it faster and there will be too much spam everywhere, Make it cheaper same problem. People do and will keep building wayyyyy too much and it will never change even with the new sups system people live through 1-2k sups/h bases.
    Sure having an excavator or cement truck etc would be neat and help with building burnout, but if you can slap down a full t2 base in less than an hour late game will become even more stagnant than it is. Imagine this, Big group gets ready for a TC (Tempest cannon) op, they get 3 excavators and 3 ACV to the location, and in less than an hour they are firing since all is built, dug out and made t2. now you have even less of a chance to catch TC ops in the making "even though people do call out TC setups while they are being built, but no one wants to deal with it until it is too late"
    Do i think facilities where a mistake? Yes and no. Do they have great potential yes, but i feel like it needs more polishing just like bunkers, i would even go as far as to say bunkers is in a worse state than facilities at this point in time. With how people bug emplacements into garrisons or push guns sitting in gunports and basically unhittable, or the new bending patterns that allows you do build garrisons right up against each other is getting too much.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад +1

      True. I feel like there has to be something we have not thought about that would help builders.
      I've always wanted to get into more serious building but I'm just worried about the time commitment ya know?

    • @The_CGA
      @The_CGA Год назад

      Facilities do a great job of distracting/diluting the energy of players more apt to build than to fight. In this way, the level of slog they can inflict upon the fighters is lessened, because they’re busy doing something else instead. Now what the facilities can do, and how much of a PITA it is to get the coal processed into gravel to even get them started, that’s another matter.
      Facilities do give back to the battlefield with sandbags and tripod factors and artillery ammo, gas stations, recyclers…bunkers suck the life from the battlefield.
      @robert, I want to do more building too, but I’d rather pursue it to realize a logistic or battlefield goal rather than simply to fortify and deny. More things to do with building, especially road building, bridge building, tunneling or prospecting for new mines

Now it's just clans comparing their dongs on who can build more BTs and every front has so many tanks they keep getting in each others way as most fighting chokepoints don't have room to line up more than few tanks.

      I guess clans do a lot of BT spam during prime time? My experience of tanks is much more 1-3 tanks trying to probe, hold down, counterattack and raid. The big impact of tanks is when coordinating and pushing alongside pub infantry in the off hours. It’s pulling together to keep fuel and shells and even starshells to light up the night for tanks. The big bombastic prime time operations by 82dk and the like are just a drop in the ocean of all the ad hoc cooperative warfighting. By the next morning, most of the time their gains are lost or the front is a wasteland from yo-yo counterattacking.
      The war is still won and lost among the randos

In the good case where you have a field day to shoot as many 40mm as you want you spend 2/3 restocking shells and 1/3 shooting them... in the bad case you don't even reach enemy structures because enemy infantry keeps you at bay, and you end up wondering why am I playing this game when I could boot up this other game and have fun instantly instead of cocking around for 2 hours getting this stupid tank just to inspect a front and see I can do literally nothing to help there? Driving through those gave such a cozy vibe, like you were in an actual fortified war town. It was incredibly atmospheric. There are two ways that you can do weapon asymmetry while also having the game be fair.
    1. You can have one side get better weapons in the early war, one side get better weapons in the mid war, and then both sides get even weapons in the late war.
    This is mostly what is going on today. Colonials get many superior weapons in the early war, allowing them to make huge gains early on. Wardens then unlock a few powerful weapons in the mid war allowing them (hopefully) to push back at least to starting positions or at least halt the Colonial advance. Then the two sides even out.
    This is a tricky balancing act and if you look at objective data, things still slant towards the Colonials. In almost every war, Wardens consistently lose more men than the Colonials regardless of the outcome. War 107 is actually the first war in a while where Wardens do not immediately begin losing more men and then continue losing more men throughout the war. Last war, the difference exceeded 200,000 at one point and it remained just under 200,000 despite the Wardens winning on all fronts. That's quite an extra strain on Warden logistics in a game dominated by logistics. This is on top of the average expense of Warden equipment being higher.
    2. You can balance everything at all stages of the war.
    Example: On day one if Colonials get a better grenade, Wardens should get a better rifle. On day 14, if Wardens get a better PvE weapon, Colonials should get a better AT weapon.
    This is also largely true in the mid and late-war.
    The trouble is that a LOT of testing is required to make sure that the kill count of each advantage weapon is perfectly balanced.
    This is the only way that asymmetry can work in a war game.
    What certain players want instead is for their faction to keep all its best weapons, gain exact copies of enemy weapons, and then nerfing the other side for good measure.
    Eventually, the side that is being nerfed and victimized this way will just stop playing. It's not fun when one side is being advantaged.
    Personally, I would like to see a war where both sides used Warden weapons with different skins. I'd suggest the opposite as well, but Colonial players have formed a narrative that all their weapons suck. So why bother? Besides, I think that Warden tanks look cool and steam-punky while Colonial tanks look bland and green.

      Thanks for writing this out!
      Point 1 makes a lot of sense and I never really thought about it in terms of early, mid and late game. Really I just never thought about mid game and only early and late game war. Thanks for putting this into a better perspective for me!
      For point 2 I get the sense that maybe the devs don't want to constantly be doing balancing and testing. I play Riots TFT and they literally have new balance to their game every 2-3 weeks. It takes a lot of work I'm sure and you run the chance of your community always getting angry because their favorite "unit" or weapon got nerfed. As gamers we all know that there will always be a "meta". This point would make the most sense if the Foxhole team was a lot bigger in my opinion. I'm skeptical we would ever get to a "perfectly" balanced unless a lot of the weapons and things were the same.
      Thoughts on any of this?
      I like your last personal points lol thanks for sharing those as well. Warden tanks do look a lot cooler. Except I do like the Collie BT look and the Ares kind of.

      @@RobertLovesGames I agree actually. The Warden BT looks rather un-fleshed out like it was the first drawing and the Colonial one looks both more realistic and also more beefy.
      I will admit I do like the Spatha. Very angular.
      I agree with your first point also. Doing constant balancing would be annoying nowadays. They still do this with new vehicles. Then again, it might shake wars up if we get a re-balance every now and again. Keeps the META from getting stale.
      I believe that the devs probably have deep-data on the wars that help them better judge what weapons are doing the most player damage, like an activity log for a weapon class. This is just my theory though. I hope that their decisions are based on data rather than feeling because they do not play their own game.

      To me it seems like things are “balanced” simply by way of each weapon system having its quirks and peculiarities. The Drummond isn’t the same thing as the collie Jeep. Collies have “more dakka” emplacement MGs but the operator isn’t as protected and they blow through ammo and thus aren’t as good for sustained suppression or overwatch.
      As far as I can see Devs have an immersive/objective world building kind of approach-the factions just have stuff that fits their mythology and comes along at different points to reinforce the storytelling and setting.

    Siege Camp hasn’t listened to their community. They’ve never tried fixing their report system or cracked down on clans. They’ve listened to their devs, not the players.
    Edit: What I mean by this is that the devs will play their game and rebalance it, but they don’t listen to players unless it involves bugs. The biggest complaint I’ve seen from foxhole is the report system and how clans abuse it. The fact that they have never even attempted to fix it proves that the devs listen to themselves, not the players.

    For me I'd really like to see Skirmishes back. It'd be especially cool if they used that as an opportunity to experiment with more designs. You could even make a multi-region skirmish map for any times where we get big enough to need more than 1 shard. Imagine a little 3-4 region desert map skirmish that gets put up instead of a low pop second shard. Having something actually different and unique about it would encourage people to go to it as well beyond just "I don't wanna be in Able shard" and encourage normal Shard 1 loyalists to give it a try for a new environment/experience. Besides this maybe the devs would get to have fun with it, trying new stuff and getting to experiment and let their minds run wild.
    Besides that only comment I have is on asymmetry. Genuinely I think it's one of the better things to happen to the game, with the one caveat that our devs, while great at many things, are rather terrible when it comes to balancing, or consistency with balance. I'm of a mind we should be having balance tweaks almost every war, even if it's just changing a few numbers and values, I can't imagine this would take them very long, and it allows them to refine over or underpowered items until some kind of medium is found. How it is right now is if something is OP or trash, all you can do is wait 4-6 months for the next update and pray the item gets a change that isn't wildly over-tuned. Hell just look at how many times the Field Anti-tank gun was changed in the first 3-4 months of introduction, it went through something like half a dozen changes. This should be the case with all weapons and vehicles.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад +1

      Exactly I think everything you said about Skirmishes is correct. Do all of this during resistance phase. Make resistance phase maybe a day or two longer.
      I mentioned this in another comment about balancing. I play Riot's TFT and they have balance updates every 2-3 weeks. What I've learned from that community is you will never make everyone happy. Someone will complain after every balance update that their favorite "unit" or weapon is now nerfed and can't be used at all. Honestly the Foxhole devs are probably just saving themselves some headaches by not touching everything all the time. It would just become what is the "flavor of the week/war" with whatever balance changes happened. It can keep the game more interesting in that sense but again I bet the devs just don't want to be flamed every week or war about the balance changes they make. What are your thoughts on that?

    @Zackreaver 7 месяцев назад +1

    So a couple things.
    1. Artillery was MUCH stronger back then. It was pinpoint accurate and essentially fired satchels at the target. You could destroy any structure in existance by just sniping it with your 100% accurate artillery. Having the pushable field artillery reworked into the winter army artillery where it has basically double the range but proper dispersion was a good change. Artillery shouldn't be a sniper, but that's what it was back then. Even though current problem with artillery is it's way too easy to snipe spawn points.
    2. Building nowadays isn't hard, it's all upkeep. But the one thing we lost from the past is the ability to go to any front and immediately be able to build a defense that could influence the frontline. Now with how bunker base tech works, bases need to be built in advance in preparation for an attack that might happen in the future. This results in several bunker bases needing to be built ahead of time, and they need to be MAINTAINED until they are needed. Builder's just ended up getting alot of chores that they need to do every war rather than being able to go to the front and enjoy active building in a warzone.
    Properly made concrete defenses can also instill stalemates, where as before the "sniper" artillery could wipe out any defense regardless of what you put, nowadays there's no way to quickly wipe out the dry concrete defenses while the enemy is watching.
    I feel like a better balance for building would be the best of both worlds. Building shouldn't feel like a chore for builders, but the sandcastles shouldn't be made of impenetrable titanium that requires the enemy to destroy them when you aren't around. Defenses should be easy to build and destroy, because back then building was a more active thing that was done while fighting was going on.
    3. As fun as those old gates were, they needed to be removed. The physics on those gates allowed you to jump into the stratosphere. It was fun to fly using them, but they were extremely clunky. And I'd imagine they were more resource intensive than the current gates we have now.
    4. The one thing I want to come back is the first rendition of resistance phase without the supply caches. Where instead of the map resetting to a resistance phase map where there's nothing there, it just continues the current war but it becomes "resistance phase" and people can keep fighting.
    Having a resistance phase that takes place on the very same map that the war just ended on would allow for resistance phase to take place on the map that players had built throughout the war. It would be neat to have fight club be in a famous spot like that one base that survived the entire war.
    The only problem with the original resistance phase is the supply caches that allowed players to have an extremely unfair advantage at the start of the next war, and removing those would remove any real problem with the resistance phase. I'd love if bases I maintained all war could get visited after the war is finished just so people could check out what was built. It would warm my builder heart knowing that I have at least a few extra days to show off my work before everything gets ultimately erased.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  7 месяцев назад

      1. I agree that arty should not be a sniper weapon. Which is why I don't quite a agree with navy arty. Correct me if I'm wrong but navy arty right now is like that right? At least from the vids I've seen it seems that way.
      2. I came in around when building a defense was possible at the front to help slow the push at the front down. I miss that honestly. Facilities has definitely changed this. I wish there was less upkeep as well. I wish the upkeep was less in the very back hexes and more near the frontlines so it would give you more of a reason to want to keep it up. Having to log on to upkeep your backline base just to keep it alive and maybe never see battle does not seem right. I am in the party that would be fine with the return of satchels if it means it would end these concreate stalemates. Or another risky way to take out concreate.
      I agree with you about building. I would like to see future updates that focus on returning to that style of building.
      3. I don't know if I have much of an opinion on gates lol
      4. I like your idea for resistance phase. I think something for sure needs to be changed with resistance phase and it needs to be 2-3 days longer. I know a lot of players don't like it but I like these type of "pre-patch wars" it gives the hardcore players extra time to rest so we can go into the next war ready to go. I think we would see less burnout with resistance phases being 2-3 days longer.

    This is a real throwback for me, i started in early 2017 before Foxhole went EA. Imo there have been a lot of steps forward, even if they are misteps, we can at least see the progress. But i do feel like this game, in its current design, is really trapped between 2 different worlds and philosophies that are stiched which produce a lot of friction by design. The newer infrastructure build system and its logistics, along with building overall are a prime examples of the "old world" mixing but not always matching up with the new. One offers (or at least teases) near complete player agency, but its held back by the old tech and assets and overall design. If youve played for a while and have seen the changes through time, you know what i am talking about.
    At this point i am wondering if its really just techinal limitation as to just how far they can go with what we currently have. Which is a bummer, because frankly (maybe its too soon to write it off) i dont really care about Anvil. I would fully endorse a Foxhole 2.0 refactor or release as long as yhe devs took the lessons of the past and applied them.
    Also i kinda wish that the devs interacted or did community based things more. There are so many instances where i wish the devs would even just put together a well shot compilation of a battle and its before and after results. Stuff like that.

They have actual in-game conventions certain times of the year where you can visit and see the new stuff that is coming out. And it's all an in-world location that you have to physically visit. It's kind of a small thing, but man it just feels Good, and at least gives the perception that the devs are paying attention to the player. (Yes yes, I know the trouble with that game, but that's beside the point).

      Hey, thanks for running a gas station.
      I like to do freeconomy stuff too, one war I found a depot town off the beaten path and did everything to make it a cozy place with harder to find supplies like radio backpacks. Made crates of gravel and 3-packs of LCs for anyone hitting upon a eureka moment in the war to draw on. “The Nightchurch Free Store.”
      For better or worse, commends just aren’t something that flows all that well towards freeconomy activity outside direct logi running of crates. It can be hard to get the mouse over someone and get “commend” to come up. The way I look at it, it’s a vibe.
      Commends unnecessary, always appreciated. One thing I do for builders, I always stop for salvage by the side of the road, I pretty much never refine it-instead I put it in a facility by the side of the road for the builder to stumble upon. A fee free Rmats

    Im just going to be simple and say I would love for player profiles to return. Although we can select sex or skin color in game. We cannot make a bio like we use to.
    As for builders/logi. Its in a good place. But the cost to maintain is really crippling to the point of needing 24/7 grind in some places. Sub hex modifiers divide the faction into who owns the subhex and anyone else using that area is destroyed by the biggest group that wants the subhex. It is ruining the team orientation of the game and why we see just single fortresses. Instead of multiple groups. Msupp modifiers should only drop to a "poor" rating. At very poor the game does strange things and the costs are insane. Thus everyone tries to avoid it by teamkilling the competition from adjusting their subhex modifier. I nearly quit the game from this as I became tired from spending days building a base. Only for a large clan to move in become annoyed of my existence wiping my base. Or if I moved into an open area no one was using. My base would be wiped from a large clan miles away in the same subhex. If devs want to improve the game this is a good place to start.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад

      Yea maybe we need to bring the bio back!
      Thanks for your input on building! Sorry some of the big clans are being jerks. I hate when that happens. Big clans need to learn to let players have teaching moments where they are learning the game more or be willing to help them learn.

    People believe the navy update is somehow going to fix the game, like the trains did. Or did they ? I am having such a laugh at that at this point because caring about it I am no longer capable of. Don't get me wrong, I really like the game. The concept and core idea is the best MMO I have ever seen. But we need to be honest here, the dev team got lucky with it, and it outgrew them almost immediately. Videos like this are a great proof of my point. All the changes, quite often contradicting each other, chaotic and community driven design process, all the bugs it generated. The game must be a massive spaghetti code monster they are not willing to touch (rewrite the game and improve the server performance, the maintenance mechanics are after all a necessity not an intended game mechanic), to a point where they are willing to push money and time into a new project instead.

    • @RobertLovesGames
      @RobertLovesGames  Год назад

      I think the game is in a really healthy spot and fun to play. It might be because I don't take it super serious. I don't follow specific meta's or anything like that. I do my simple logi run and task. I go to the front sometimes and I just like chatting with people in game.
      I think like any game if you take it to serious it won't be enjoyable.
      Are there things you liked to do in Foxhole before that you don't like now?

    • @br4624
      @br4624 Год назад

      @@RobertLovesGames i have to disagree. It's not healthy at all. If people want to make foxhole into a VR chat that is fine but there are glaring designs flaws in the game. One of many examples: maintenance is not a game mechanic that was intended for the game. It is the server performance (lack of it) that is making it necessary. So for 1.0 let's introduce a second building system which is most likely more draining on the servers without addressing the fundamental issue. I'm not examining the game from a personal point of view so I cannot tell you what changed for me that takes the fun out of the game. I'm taking about the product as a whole package.

      I can agree with this. I don't think there is any mastering with aiming. You just get a better understanding for how it works and you learn that sometimes you just lose to bad bullet RNG.

      @@RobertLovesGames Also elevations can be a nightmare.
      I’ve run into situations where a enemy is slightly above or below me and getting a shot on them is sometimes nearly impossible. Yet they have no issue shooting me.
      You have to place your cursor just perfectly behind them in a way that makes no sense.
      Infantry is one of the most basic roles for new players, and the tricky ways you have to learn to maneuver around this issue is not rewarding and is probably making more than a few quit foxhole.
      A cursor aimed directly on an enemy (without cover) should hit 100%

      @RobertLovesGames  7 месяцев назад

      @@MrRikardoe Yea I don't like elevation fighting in this game. I wish having elevation gave you more accuracy as well. Being killed by someone on the ground feels bad.
      I don't agree though that you should have 100% accuracy ever. If that was the case one person could stop a huge rush of people if they have less accuracy because they are moving or don't have cover. The infantry system is the way it's for a reason. Which is why we don't see 100% accurate infantry guns.

    The devs have been making absolutely nonsensical decisions. They knew building system was poorly designed, but instead of relying less on it by introducing more World Structures that wouldn't worry about decay while limited scaling to preserve servers, instead of that they made everything 10x worse by having entire logictics part of this awful system as well as entire tank production. Like, wtf are they doing...

Can't build facility, can't build BB around it to protect it, can't handle the logistical requirements to field BTs/SHTs. I wouldn't mind if let's say you needed those 4-6 players and everyone had to pull their weight to achieve something big, but what the devs did was if you don't have 40-50 guys at your command don't bother with all of this content, and I have no doubt that's been killing the game since 1.0. Majority of people when they talk about Foxhole nowadays is how they miss the old days. Out of all the friends I made along the way only very few still play the game.
