Hi Sean, when you say "we", I am not sure who you are referring to because I don't anyone who says a saint can't be alive on earth, it is only afterwards that he/she can be declared a saint. Can you say someone was a saint but stopped being one? Now one cannot ever call himself a saint because that would be an obvious act of pride (I hope you understand why). Regarding every disciple being a saint: was Judas a saint, or was he not a disciple? He was a disciple, but he was not a saint, not because he betrayed Jesus, but because not being able to forgive himself, accept Jesus as his savior, repent and subject himself to God's will. On the other hand Judas Thaddeus also denied Jesus, but he repented, forgave himself and continued to preach the Gospel and do God's work, meaning we wasn't tied to his ego (pride) but rather focused on God. I am glad you live a holy life and wish you the best. God bless.

You protestants are so unbiblical. Jesus tells you how finite beings like the angels are able to know our needs and to intercede for us before the Father. “See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” (Mat 18:10, DRC) Angels aren't Omnipotent or omnipresent, are they? Yet they can stand before God and intercede for the little ones. Not only angels know what happens on Earth. Saints know as well. Recall the Transfiguration. Moses and Elias knew what Jesus was about to do in his exodus from Jerusalem. At the very least, Moses was in the Bosom Abraham at that time. “30. And behold two men were talking with him. And they were Moses and Elias, 31. Appearing in majesty. And they spoke of his decease that he should accomplish in Jerusalem.” (Luk 9:30-31, DRC) God tells Jerimiah that though Moses and Samuel were to intercede He would not be convinced this particular time. “And the Lord said to me: If Moses and Samuel shall stand before me, my soul is not towards this people: cast them out from my sight, and let them go forth.” (Jer 15:1, DRC) The martyrs are well aware of the situation happening on Earth and they intercede in Revelation. “And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.” (Rev 6:9, DRC) With all this in mind. It is you protestants who would take away from God's glory and tell Him that it is not possible for Him to permit those of the Church Triumphant who also behold the face of God to know love and pray for the least of their brothers still struggling on Earth? What absolute hubris from your side.
When the Catholic Church speaks about saints, it is speaking about canonised saints, ie someone who is in Heaven after they have died. A study of the person's life is undertaken to learn about the kind of life the individual lived and there has to be at least 2 confirmed miracles that need to be worked through the person's intercession.

@@seanrathmakedisciples1508true. Was it not Paul who referred to his fellow brethren as saints in his letters?? Meaning he wrote to those who were physically alive right not the ones who were gone already??
No, being AWARE does NOT mean they can hear our prayers. We don’t know the mechanism by with Abraham knew of Moses. He could just have been TOLD by angels what has happened, while being otherwise totally oblivious to our other activities. However, the described passage occurred before the resurrection of Jesus, which was accompanied with the resurrection of the saints before Christ.
Here is my testimony, I did not believe it at first, but I prayed to Paul so that he may pray for me as a test, I called him Saint Paul and said my normal prayers I would have to the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. I immediately felt a supernatural warmth in my body, it was the same as when I asked Sam Shamoun to pray for me (I bursted out crying for no reason, as someone WHO RARELY CRIES EVEN IF I WERE TO FACE DEATH.), my whole body felt really warm out of nowhere, almost like sweating and heat spreading throughout my body from my upper back, and it is fairly cool where I am at. Take it how you will. And You don’t have to know everything to know some things, so the saints don’t have to be omniscient to be aware of our prayer requests. We do not know much about how the human intellect works in heaven, but the fact that heaven is a higher state than this life suggests we will have more rather than less awareness. This is also suggested because we will be made “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Pet. 1:4) and transformed to be like God by virtue of the beatific vision (1 John 3:2). Scripture does not give many pictures of what life in heaven is like, but it shows saints and angels aware of what is happening on earth (Rev. 6:9-11, 7:13-14, 11:15-18, 16:5-6, 18:20). The common understanding is that the saints are aware of our prayer requests through union with God. It is reasonable to suppose that, in the perfect state of heaven, people will have whatever information is relevant to them. Thus God can make a saint aware that someone is asking for his intercession. However saints and angels are aware of our prayer requests, Scripture indicates that they are. In Revelation 5:8, the twenty-four elders, who appear to represent the leaders of the people of God in heaven, offer incense to God. We are told that the incense is “the prayers of the saints.” In Revelation 8:3-4, an angel offers incense that is mingled with “the prayers of all the saints.”
Abraham could have been made aware by the Lord Himself telling him. The angels who carried Lazarus to his bosom could’ve told him. Abraham being aware of the Law and Prophets doesn’t negate the scriptures in Ecclesiastes. “For the living know that they will die; But the dead know nothing, And they have no more reward, For the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6) I think a better way to think of it would be that “the dead are aware of what God sovereignly makes them aware of.”
@@YoxxSHIxx the saints in Revelation 6 are “the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for testimony which they held.” They’re asking God to “judge and avenge their blood.” This prayer about something that already happened to them while they were still on earth. It’s not new info to them since they died. Concerning the Mount of Transfiguration, notice I said that the dead know nothing apart from what God sovereignly makes them aware of. Moses and Elijah appearing was a sovereign, God orchestrated encounter. They were sent from God with a message. “And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem (Luke 9:30-31).” And Samuel was a prophet and had already been prophesying to Saul about God taking the kingdom from him before he died. Still, gift of prophecy doesn’t work on our own initiative or will when we’re alive, and I don’t believe it’s any different when we’re dead. Nobody can give true prophecy apart from them receiving it from God first. “Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not commanded it?” (Lamentations 3:37)
Ecclesiastes 9:5 5 For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing, and they have no more reward, for the memory of them is forgotten. The rich man and Lazarus story is a parable.
These must be the eternally condemned. Jesus clearly teaches that the Old Testament righteous are alive. “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You therefore do greatly err.” (Mar 12:27, DRC) The Transfiguration clearly shows Moses who was in the Bosom of Abraham at the time, knows about Jesus and his Exodus from Jerusalem. Every Israelite knew of Moses at the time and his memory was not forgotten.

2:23 Here’s a verse that COULD have confirmed “asking dead saints to pray for them” is biblical. Unfortunately the doctrine assumes the Saints ANSWERS prayer just because it was HANDLING the bowls of prayers. Since Lazarus actually “PRAYED TO Abraham”, then let’s take a gander at the response. Luke 16:27-29 KJV [27] Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: [28] For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Even on earth mary tells Jesus what to do John 2:1-11 CEV KJV NIV NLT NKJV ESV Three days later Mary, the mother of Jesus, was at a wedding feast in the village of Cana in Galilee. Jesus and his disciples had also been invited and were there. When the wine was all gone, Mary said to Jesus, “They don't have any more wine.” Jesus replied, “Mother, my time hasn't yet come! You must not tell me what to do.” Mary then said to the servants, “Do whatever Jesus tells you to do.” At the feast there were six stone water jars that were used by the people for washing themselves in the way that their religion said they must. Each jar held about 100 liters.
Again this is a misguiding teaching by Sam to promote praying to Saints. Cos to simply say that "Abraham knew about Moses" means that he is all seeing or "aware" of what humans do is unbiblical. Not even angels know so much and that's why even satan cannot know what everyone is doing all the time and hence he prowls the earth searching for souls to devour. Therefore the more biblically based logical answer is, that through the people in sheol and through the angels, Abraham knew about Moses and about other prophets. Cos lets not forget, just cos humans were stuck in Sheol, it does not mean angels cannot access Sheol cos they are the very ones who carried the soul of Lazarus to there. And that's not figurative language. At least not to Sam, cos he used that very example to prove the physically tangible aspect of how the human soul will be in heaven on one of his other videos. So to the people who pray to saints, please just stop doing it and tryna find excuses to do it and instead pray to only God! Cos remember, you are dealing with powers and principalities we don't fully understand when it comes to God and the devil. So do what God tells you and nothing else!
The martyrs know what's up on Earth, too. “9. And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held. 10. And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (Holy and True), dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” (Rev 6:9-10, DRC) Of course the Holy Spirit will enable the Church Triumphant to pray and intercede for the Church Militant. You place limits on God that He tells you are not there. “And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.” (2 Jo 5, DRC) God is glorified when we love one another. God is glorified in His saints. He gives us the ability to love one another on Earth and that pleases Him. We continue to work to please Him in heaven. “8. But we are confident and have a good will to be absent rather from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9. And therefore we labour, whether absent or present, to please him.” (2 Cor 5:8-9, DRC) Those in heaven must continue to love one another and us on Earth or they do not know God. Only those who know God may enjoy the beatific vision. Therefore all the Church Triumphant continues the great commandment to love one another. “He that loveth not knoweth not God: for God is charity.” (1 Jo 4:8, DRC)

The verse does not say for there is one mediator between God and men, Jesus, Mary and all the Saints. Beware of wolves dressed up in sheep, you will know them by there fruits, pride arrogance, impatience, he who insults, these are not the fruits of the Holy spirit. Jesus never called Mary Mother but Women and there is a reason for this. But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”
When Jesus used the term "Woman" for the wedding at Cana, he wasn't denying his Mother nor belittling her in any way. If he was, then he would be breaking the 5th commandment, "Honour thy Father and Mother" and he certainly didn't break any of the commandments. The verse "Who is My mother", Jesus was pointing out that spiritual is greater than material. Mediator is Jesus because he is the God-man. This doesn't prohibit people from praying for (interceding) for others. Paul requested it often: Romans 15:30 “I urge you, brothers and sisters,… to join me in my struggle by PRAYING TO GOD FOR ME.”. Ephesians 6:18 “And pray in the Spirit ...with all kinds of prayers and requests….always keep on PRAYING FOR ALL THE LORD’S PEOPLE.”. Colossians 4:3 “And PRAY FOR US, too”

Here, read the passage for yourself lest you think I'm lying or anyone else thinks you are telling the truth. 2 Maccabees 15:11-16 11 So he armed every one of them, not with defence of shield and spear, but with very good speeches and exhortations, and told them A DREAM WORTHY TO BE BELIEVED, whereby he rejoiced them all. 12 Now THE VISION was in this manner: Onias who had been high priest, a good and virtuous man, modest in his looks, gentle in his manners, and graceful in his speech, and who from a child was exercised in virtues, holding up his hands, prayed for all the people of the Jews: 13 After this there appeared also another man, admirable for age, and glory, and environed with great beauty and majesty: 14 Then Onias answering, said: This is a lover of his brethren, and of the people of Israel: this is he that prayeth much for the people, and for all the holy city, Jeremias the prophet of God. 15 Whereupon Jeremias stretched forth his right hand, and gave to Judas a sword of gold, saying: 16 Take this holy sword a gift from God, wherewith thou shalt overthrow the adversaries of my people Israel. And as for Jeremiah 15:1 which you quote, you do know that is a hypothetical statement right? Cos both Moses and Samuel were highly revered people of God. And Moses constantly changed God's mind whenever he wanted to destroy the isrealites for their disobedience and evil. Hence God is saying the following. Jeremiah 15:1-2 15 Then the Lord said to me: “EVEN IF Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! 2 And if they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says: “‘Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.’ So you see my friend, it is you who are deceived by a church that teaches false doctrines. And word it how you may, talking to a dead person is unbiblical and nowhere condoned. Especially because, irregardless of what your church says, ONLY JESUS DECIDES who enters heaven or not. Or have you forgotten the verses where Jesus himself says he will turn away people who have healed the sick and driven out demons in his name?

“See that you despise not one of these little ones: for I say to you, that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.” (Mat 18:10, DRC)
Angels aren't Omnipotent or omnipresent, are they? Yet they can stand before God and intercede for the little ones.
Not only angels know what happens on Earth. Saints know as well. Recall the Transfiguration. Moses and Elias knew what Jesus was about to do in his exodus from Jerusalem. At the very least, Moses was in the Bosom Abraham at that time.
“30. And behold two men were talking with him. And they were Moses and Elias, 31. Appearing in majesty. And they spoke of his decease that he should accomplish in Jerusalem.” (Luk 9:30-31, DRC)
God tells Jerimiah that though Moses and Samuel were to intercede He would not be convinced this particular time.
“And the Lord said to me: If Moses and Samuel shall stand before me, my soul is not towards this people: cast them out from my sight, and let them go forth.” (Jer 15:1, DRC)
The martyrs are well aware of the situation happening on Earth and they intercede in Revelation.
“And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God and for the testimony which they held.” (Rev 6:9, DRC)
With all this in mind.

@@petiks9252 Finally the nail in the coffin to false catholic doctrine.
Their desperate attempt to justify their false doctrine will always involve Revelation 8:2-4. Let’s examine it at an elementary level , just to cover the basics here.
🧠 The verse describes the angel was GIVEN bowls filled with the prayers of the saints on earth. Where does it say the prayers from earth were DIRECTED to any angel?
Interesting how EVERY false doctrine INSERTS a narrative. It’s the same Illogical narrative as ordering at a restaurant and verbally thanking the waitress for “COOKING” my order.
Revelation 8:2-4 KJV
And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. [3] And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. @@seanrathmakedisciples1508true. Was it not Paul who referred to his fellow brethren as saints in his letters?? Meaning he wrote to those who were physically alive right not the ones who were gone already??
@@seanrathmakedisciples1508You believe heaven rejoices when a sinner repents?
Also their love, their hatred, and their envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share In anything done under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5-6)
I think a better way to think of it would be that “the dead are aware of what God sovereignly makes them aware of.”
What about the saints crying out to God in revelation or moses and Elijah on the mount of transfiguration? What about Saul and samuel?

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come.
That's a horrible interpretation of the Bible and the English language.

Of course the Holy Spirit will enable the Church Triumphant to pray and intercede for the Church Militant.
You place limits on God that He tells you are not there.
“And now I beseech thee, lady, not as writing a new commandment to thee, but that which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another.” (2 Jo 5, DRC)
God is glorified when we love one another. God is glorified in His saints. He gives us the ability to love one another on Earth and that pleases Him. We continue to work to please Him in heaven.
“8. But we are confident and have a good will to be absent rather from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9. And therefore we labour, whether absent or present, to please him.” (2 Cor 5:8-9, DRC)
Those in heaven must continue to love one another and us on Earth or they do not know God. Only those who know God may enjoy the beatific vision. Therefore all the Church Triumphant continues the great commandment to love one another.

Colossians 4:3 “And PRAY FOR US, too”
@@vinc-e01 yeah, interceding is done when people get together and pray for each other HERE ON EARTH. Even Jesus said "where 2 or more people get together and pray, I will be there". There is not one biblical verse from God, Jesus, Paul or any other prophet or disciple that tells a person to pray to the dead. Yet there are plenty of verses that forbid contacting or praying to anyone except God. So stop being deceived and deceiving others too through ignorance. Pray to God only! For weather saints hear your prayers or not, there is nothing they can do that God cannot. And neither can they do anything without God's permission. 13 After this there appeared also another man, admirable for age, and glory, and environed with great beauty and majesty:
14 Then Onias answering, said: This is a lover of his brethren, and of the people of Israel: this is he that prayeth much for the people, and for all the holy city, Jeremias the prophet of God.
15 Whereupon Jeremias stretched forth his right hand, and gave to Judas a sword of gold, saying:
16 Take this holy sword a gift from God, wherewith thou shalt overthrow the adversaries of my people Israel.
Jeremiah 15:1-2
15 Then the Lord said to me: “EVEN IF Moses and Samuel were to stand before me, my heart would not go out to this people. Send them away from my presence! Let them go! 2 And if they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ tell them, ‘This is what the Lord says:
“‘Those destined for death, to death;
those for the sword, to the sword;
those for starvation, to starvation;
those for captivity, to captivity.’
So you see my friend, it is you who are deceived by a church that teaches false doctrines.

In this passage it is important to note that the New Testament uses the word "saint" of every baptized Christian, not because we are all perfectly holy, but because we have all at least received the gift of the Holy Spirit. So this passage implies that the angels and elders (holy Christian leaders now in Heaven) hear the prayers of every Christian on earth, and join their prayer now with ours.
@@saula21100 Ecclesiastes 9:5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Explain this then
@@johncawley5579 Easy. Those are the ones who die the eternal death. Jesus says that those who sleep in the Lord are not dead but are living.
“He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You therefore do greatly err.” (Mar 12:27, DRC)
Paul notes that the ones absent from their body are actively laboring in heaven.
“8. But we are confident and have a good will to be absent rather from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9. And therefore we labour, whether absent or present, to please him.” (2 Cor 5:8-9, DRC)
So clearly this passage speaks about a dead and a death that does not leave one alive and in the presence of the Lord.
@@johncawley5579 if you read Ecclesiastes 9:1 through 9:18 you will see it’s not talking about saints it’s talking about those that don’t want to fallow the word of the lord

15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” 17 Since you call on a Father who judges each person's work impartially, live out your time as foreigners here in reverent fear.

@@saula21100 you know people like you sicken me cos of your ignorance. Sure there are passages that the dead labor in heaven, they offer up prayers and so on. Yet is there one single passage that says "pray to the dead"? No. Not one! Not from Jesus. Not from God. Not from Paul. Yet you twist and turn scripture to match your needs and confuse those who are weak in faith.
Do me a favour, do a simple Google search and see how many verses there are about not praying to the dead. God explicitly tells us not to try and contact the dead. He didn't specify if they are in heaven or hell, he said just don't do it or else you commit an abominable act. Do you know what else is an abominable act? It's homosexuality. The very thing that Sodom and Gomorrah were famous for and is apparently the reason God obliterated them. So why on Earth are you doing something that is abominable and teaching others to do it as well. Repent!
