    Absolutely heartbreaking news. For 15 years I have been waiting endlessly for it's release. Those 4 demo (?) tunes that were released years ago, I listen to them all the time! Chuck was a mastermind.
    To give my 2¢ worth:
    If the digital files are so corrupted, then have the lineup from the 1st CD album record it, and re-do Chuck's parts. I know it would not actually be Chuck playing his parts, but at least those masterful riffs, solos and vocals will be heard by the world.
    As a huge Death fan for 27 years, it would leave a huge hole in my life and soul to never hear these final masterworks from The Man's incredible creative mind. Chuck's last works deserve to see the light of day!

      I don't know what to say man. As a fan I empathize but we're also external to the process. I can tell you that those directly involved are done and exhausted after pursuing this for 15 years.

      DeathinHD Thanks for that link, man, I don't know how I missed that post that said the project was now dead. Although that stinks and is a hard pill to swallow, it was refreshing to finally hear the facts and some truth, because there has been a foggy, murky cloud of misinformation hovering around WMAMC for 15 years.

      Yea honestly I'm not the biggest fan of Control Denied stuff but I absolutely love everything Chuck Schuldiner created with Death and the countless other bandmates but also I rarely listen to the control denied or The Perseverance Of Sound albums but I'm still bummed to realize the 2nd Control Denied album was never released.....I always thought both albums had been released not just one but guess I was wrong but am glad to hear from Steve DiGiorgio that him and the other guys were trying their damndest to put the album out but it turned out harder than anyone had anticipated

    It's sad because Chuck seemed really excited about this album, and as he only kept improving with each new work, I know it'd be great. Technology has improved since then, so maybe it's easier to restore those files nowadays, with new software and stuff. I hope they don't give up on this, because it's legacy, and if they don't finish this, no one will.
    Best luck to them. Support music, not rumors

    Hi guys. I think "Never" is a strong word for it. Steve said it is being hard but never said it cannot be done. Today they might have technology issues but who knows someday from now? He didn't sound like he gave up (i can be wrong, but i hope not) and i still have faith we will be able to hear some of the tracks of this album.

      I agree "never" is strong - I mean they released a few Voivod albums from Piggy's Laptop - Just seems weird they cant work with the "chuck schuldner" karmegddon release Tracks 1-4 -- could u not find a way to layer that and ad Steve's amazing fretless bass - and he says he has casettes of the demos as well --- just really is a shame to not release a full album in this day and age of technology

    I feel devastated about this. :( The first album was brilliant, and I just know that the second would be too. :(

      😢😢 we had all those Riff and drum tracks that were "released" on that "Chuck Schudliner 1 & 2" complication, and seems there was more material, like can't they mix so rough cassette riffs, with the old software and than add bass vocals??? Seems a.waste. piggy from voivod had 2 albums from riffs and demos on his computer.

    • @kellymacdonald9618

      @@jamie.777 I remember reading, quite a while back (like a few years ago) when Eric Greif was still alive, that Chuck's family had been given instructions by Chuck not to release anything unless it was of a quality that would do justice to Chuck's earlier works (which makes sense, with him being a perfectionist). And that they were worried that if they mucked around with the rough demos, it might not be what Chuck would want released? I don't know. I mean, it makes sense. But as a fan, I'm greedy, lol and I want more! Especially now that we are losing more members of Death and Control Denied! I have thought, surely with today's technology and all the stuff they can do, they can get it together? But I don't know. I mean, then in contrast, you've got someone's legacy like Jeff Buckley- his estate (run by his mother) has released just about anything she could find (even REALLY rough material), and had it remastered and reworked, etc. and sold it as a 'new album.' Like, he's had many, many more albums as someone deceased than he ever had while he was alive, you know?

    • @jamie.777
      @jamie.777 2 месяца назад +1

      @kellymacdonald9618 you make excellent points. And I am die hard, lol...I buy the demos recorded on the boom box. Lol

      It does seem that there are many obstacles, unfortunately. It's not worth releasing a half-finished album.

    • @slimcrazy277
      @slimcrazy277 7 лет назад +3

      They could release it as an E.P instead, I feel like that would work out better. A lot of bands are doing that these days.

  • @Lukasz_KLAT
    @Lukasz_KLAT 7 лет назад +7

    It's sound like total bullshit for me.
    If a had friend, musician that died and left music I would record it immediately.
    What are the "legal issues"? Nuclear Blast or Relapse don't want to make a shitload of money on this album or what?
    Also there is interview with Chuck's mother:
    www.blabbermouth.net/news/chuck-schuldiner-s-mother-discusses-her-son-s-legacy-long-delayed-second-control-denied-album/
    "If it could not be done the way Chuck asked, it wouldn't be done at all. That was the question, and it has been answered. It will be done, and exactly as Chuck asked. I would feel absolute dejection if that work was not released, only I was there to see the condition he was in as Chuck struggled to finish what he could, and all the time while seeing to his wishes that it be done as he asked. Well, there will be an announcement any day now by the label who was chosen to see it completed."
    What does it mean?
    Chuck wanted to release this cd in 24 carat gold package or what?
    Don't get me wrong - I'm not disrespectful to anyone involved here - His family, His bandmates, or whoever else.
    It's just seems like all these people involved don't want this record hard enough.
    It's fucking 15 years of procrastination if (as I get it from this interview with Steve DiGiorgio) the bandmates didn't even transcribed and learn riffs that ARE DEMO RECORDED!
    It's not some mystical energy that hold this record back, it's the people that should care the most.

    • @DeathinHD
      @DeathinHD  7 лет назад +2

      There are mixed messages, I have heard many times that Chuck's parts have been completed for years, then others contradict that. Who knows.

    • @Lukasz_KLAT
      @Lukasz_KLAT 7 лет назад +2

      Even if parts are not finished, there are hundreds if not thousands of musician around the world that can easily finish it. There were countless forum threads about Chucks song composition style and soloing/scales used in Death/Control Denied.
      Maybe that would be a solution if original line up can't finish this album - give whatever they have (demo songs, lyric scratches etc) to the whole Chuck fans community and let them to the work.
      Then choose the best songs/lyrics and record it professionally, release as big compilation
      Just take a look at Gruesome - it's suach a great band copying early Death style and sound without any original member of Death.

      It's a well meaning idea but there's no way the estate would accept that.

    I'm a little late to the party but I too am sad about the project.. but they did all they can do.. and I appreciate everything as a death/Chuck fan.. but I hope I can get some answers on the death by metal documentary that was spost to come out? I haven't heard anything or seen.. if anybody has the answer to my question It will be greatly appreciated.. till then like Chuck always said "keep the metal faith alive"

    It really hit me when he said it was out of his control. Get it? Yeah. It sucks, but at least we have the demos for WMAMC at all. Although Sybmolic is my favorite Death album, I consider TSOP as my favorite Control Denied album (considering it was supposed to be the first CD record), and of course The Fragile Art of Existence is fantasatic. I just think it's sad that things didn't turn out the way they hoped... their control over their fate truly was denied. Let's just be thankful that Chuck acomplished so much in his life.

      I think it should be released. Not as an orthodox piece of chuck's and control denied's career because obviously he isn't here anymore to supervise it, but rather a tribute to his work, as his last breath of art in this world. This material is as awesome as it is valuable and should be given proper justice.

    They should at least re-do the four demos from the zero tolerance CD. Just polish them and add Tim on vocals. Those four tracks make up 30 minutes worth of music. That's an entire album's length for some extreme metal albums, so it can sell it as an EP? It's not the full set but it's something and knowing chuck and his passion for creating music, he would have wanted the album heard, even if it's just part of it.
    Heck, it'd even be pretty tight if some fans covered the four tracks and had someone improvise on vocals and uploaded them here just as a tribute. Of course as long as no legal issues broached lol.
