The production quality is top tier and ultimate budget at the same time. The use of Battle of Britain sound effects was spot on as well. That movie made me fall in love with the Hurricane, 109, and 111. Brilliant!

Not to make this all boringly serious, but apparently BF-109s were for all intents and purposes identical in performance to Spitfires (German pilots who had the opportunity to fly Spitfires thought the BF-109 was a bit better, but then I suppose they would). At the end of the day, it really came down to how good the pilot was flying the aircraft, regardless of whether it was a 109 or a Spitfire.

Those old wooden buildings bring back some memories, used to have one of those as one of the 3buildings that we used to use in the Air Cadets. 1930s vintage, sadly missing the old cast iron stove, but fairly original apart from that, and held together with woodchip wallpaper and wall paper paste.
