Mercury was used in the purification of silver and gold, was incredibly important to the spanish empire. The spanish empire often is mistaken as technologically backwards in Europe, but it rather was ahead in terms of metallurgy specially for the interests of ensuring the main source of income for the crown in precious metals. Mercury amalgams were known before, but in the spanish empire there were constant advances in the purification techniques between the 16th and 18th century. The main mercury mine was in Iberia itself, the one mentioned by the devs in Almadén, but there was another important one later stablished in Perú, in Huancavelica, which became the second major source.
Besides that, as you may know, Mercury was also quite important in China, though I know far less about their case, I assume it will also be represented in the game considering they are adding it.

I’m extremely pumped about the population system coming to EU5. I always thought it was weird that there wasn’t really any type of pop system other than manpower or sailors. I feel that it would make razing towns or wiping armies much more impactful than it is in EU4. Imagine fighting a long war with a rival and then sacking their capital. It would decimate their population. Maybe having troops stationed in enemy provinces will lower the population in that city. Historically speaking, if a city was conquered, many died and many were sold into slavery. We need something like that in EU5.

29:40 that religion in Bosnia was the Bosnian church! A now extinct Christian church which existed in Bosnia and was similar to the Bogomilist movement that developed in Macedoni and Bulgaria. It's a very unique Christian church that borrowed a lot of practices from Gnosticism

Krstjani is the Bosnian Church. It's actually present in CK3 already, and there starts out as an "Ecumenical" Faith. However, should a Krjstani Duke become even moderately sized, a neighboring Ecumenical Christian Duke can petition their Head of Faith (Pope, Patriarch, etc.) to declare them heretics. If the head of faith agrees, this permanently removes Ecumensim for Krjstani , making them vulnerable to holy wars from other Christians. This is based on real life events when Serbian and Hungarian rules accused Ban Kulin of Bosnia of heresy in the late 12th and early 13th Centuries, leading to Hungary's "Bosnian Crusade" in 1235. Given that EU5 seems to start after this, we may see this schism come into play for Bosnia/Krstjani countries.
    .
Notes on "Ecumenism": Ecumenism is a doctrine in CK3 that "non-heretical" Christian faiths have to simulate collaboration between denomination, that makes them consider each other to be "Astray". In CK3, there's 4 tiers of inter-character opinion modifiers based on Faith: "Righteous" (no penalty; usually reserved for the same Faith), "Astray" (minor penalty), "Hostile" (significant penalty), and "Evil" (major penalty). Abrahamic is the strictest Religious Family, as it treats not only other Religious Families (Eastern and Pagan) as "Evil", but also treats other religions (e.g. Christianity vs Islam) as "Evil", and treats other Faiths as "Hostile". Thus, non-heretical Christians have Ecumenism, to make up for this default hostility (a new faith made in CK3 can only have Ecumenism if the parent faith had it, or if it picks "Rite" as one of its three Tenets)
    .
For Muslim and Jews (as it could also potentially be insightful for EU5) :
All Muslims in CK3 have Sunni, Shia, Muhakkima, or Zandaqa doctrines. The former three function the the same as Ecumenism, while latter means "heresy" instead gives bonus when fighting other Muslims, rather than creating a subset of "Astray" Muslims). However, since EU5 seems to be Sunni and Shia as their religions, like EU4, this may be less relevant (perhaps Ibadi will collaborate with Muhakkima Muslims, if they exist).
All Jewish faiths in CK3 have Rabbinic, Toraic, Kohenimic, or Samaritan doctrines. These function like Sunni/Shia/Muhakkima, except that Samaritan is considered by the other three groups to be Evil and considers them Evil in turn. (I hadn't played CK3 in a while, so I actually didn't know this had been added until I checked the wiki for the name of Zandaqa.)
    .
How much of those inter-faith dynamics will be captures in EU5? Who knows. But that's an overview of how CK3 handles it for Abrahamic faiths.

Better comparison would be personal union between Poland and Lithuania before Union of Lublin. It really was more/less a defensive alliance against Teutonic Order with a common ruler (first of them being Władysław Jagiełło (Jogaila). Lithuanian nobility was extremely cautious about their privileges and often threatened to dissolve union. Best example is Vytautas/Witold, Jagiełło's cousin, who first helped to fix Union of Horodło only for later to try to dissolve it by trying to crown himself as King of Lithuania with the help of Teutonic Order and Hungary.

Quick google search says Ani is in Armenia. But the Armenian church isn't orthodox, so that's kind of lame if they're rolling the Apostolic Armenian Church in with other churches again. But maybe they aren't really "combined," but it's just that that kind international organization just makes the most sense mechanically. Hopefully, all of these different patriarchates have their own unique flavor and mechanics.

Ethiopia isn't exactly Orthodox either (Or at least not like Greece or Russia). But they said this mechanic applies to "Eastern Christians" in general, not specifically what we know as Orthodox in EU4. So I believe they just have the same organisation structure like you said, it's (hopefully) not like they somehow all follow the Patriach of Constantinople in terms of mechanics.

Main goals: Conquer and convert Rome, conquer and convert the Holy Land. Side Goals: unite the historically reformed areas (Netherlands, Great Britain, etc.), also do as much damage to the Catholics as possible. It really helps me feel that postmill optimism.
