Vlad II Dracul, the father of Vlad III Dracul (Țepeș / Impaler ) was the founder of the Drăculeşti dynasty, which lasted until the 17th century.
The surname "Țepeș / Impaler" is actually a nickname (given by the Turks) given to Vlad III Dracula as a result of the method of stabbing used by him.
This nickname, it is associated with Vlad after his death, has remained in use to this day.

fun fact: Vlad the Impaler or ,,Dracula'' never lived in Bran castle. He slept once or twice in the castle and possible atacked it 1 time. It's just marketing. He lived in Cetetea Poenari: /watch?v=26ahaAH-sA8 also you should visite next time: ,,Castelul Corvinilor'' -search it on wikipedia

This is anything but offensive! Back in the day, before the Communist armed takeover in1947 and the disaster that followed for tens of years, the Royal Family was loved and respected, maybe the only one to be more controversial was King Carol II for his eventful personal life. The Royal Family basically made Romania. King Carol I won our independence from the Ottoman Empire and got the name of the country to be officially recognised, King Ferdinand guided Romania through World War One and Unified the country, all our historical regions. King Carol II made some political mistakes and had an eventful life but he had to reign in an extremely difficult context, the onset of World War Two, so he gets a bit more flak than deserved, in my opinion. His Majesty King Michael saved the country during World War Two, he is the reason the country still exists basically and is not a Russian province now.
Romania would have been way better than what you got to see now if not for the Communist atrocities and the forced abdication of His Majesty...
I am glad you got to see Peles Castle as most foreigners don't know about it or overlook it... and you saw what they are missing out on :D
All the best! and I am looking forward to new footage from Romania if there is more :D
