Underrated channel, nice work on editing guys and the way you showed beautiful Romania is just awesome. One need a lifetime to be able to see everything Romania has to offer. One place many foreign tourists skip without knowing is Europe's most preserved delta located in the South east of Romania. Mark Wiens went there and he made a video about it and the local customs such as food and attractions it's pretty cool.

I was impressed that you had Iulia Hasdeu Castle on your list. Usually people go to Peles Castle and Bran, but I am happy (even though it was closed) that you chose that one. That castle is very close to my hometown, which was 30 minutes before the castle, the capital city of the county.
@@SammyandTommy I think in most European countries all museums are closed on Mondays. It is a pretty well known thing. I cant remember if I did. I know I saw it from the outside. We must have had a school trip when I was a child. But I also used to do a lot of research for promoting my county, so that is obviously something that comes up. Are you guys from the US or Canada?

AWESOME CASTLE. There is another Dracula's Hotel-Castle in Piatra Fantanele(Tihuța pass)\Bistrita-Nasaud in the mountains, and near that place it's also Colibița - a beautiful mountain-lake...

Awesome video! Just watched it in 4K. New subscriber, congrats from Romania! You should come in the east side of the country one day to visit Iasi City (my city) which is the cultural and historical capital of Romania, also a royal city if I'm not mistaken along side Sinaia (where the Peles Castle is). Iasi is the second biggest city in Romania after Bucharest if I'm not wrong. It is always Iasi or Cluj-Napoca on the second place. :)) Iasi City is also very romantic too, being associated with the name of the most famous romanian poem writer who wrote romantic poems, Eminescu, who used to spend time here, as well as other romanian writers and intelectuals at the time. The first union that led to the big country you see today has happened in this city. We have a big famous palace in the downtown named Palace Of Culture (with a big shopping mall in the back), the first university, botanical garden and electric tram in Romania and one of the most beautiful national theatres in the world according to BBC (National Theatre Vasile Alecsandri). :)

Guys, troughout Europe, entirely, Mondays and sometimes even Tuesdays are closed for museums. And not just Europe, but many other continents since the museums are open on saturdays and sundays :D
I remember catching the night train from Baia-mare to Bucharest, it took 11 or 12 hours. What was the first thing I wanted to do in Bucharest? Go to “The Harp” Irish pub and order the Shepherds Pie! I loved my time in Romania but I also missed the food from home.
Romania is beautiful, but you need to adventure inside rural area, there you will find the nature, simplicity and all the good food:). But guys, was this video shot in april 2021? I don't see no one wearing masks etc. including inside castle.
Did you visit Poenari Castle which further up the mountain regions? Castle Bran is not really historically associated with the read Vlad Dracula, but it has been branded as such for the tourists. Castle Poenari which sits high on a mountain range towering above the Arges River is the real Castle Dracula. It's rather ruined now, but worth a visit if you can stand the half hour climb up the steps to reach it.

Quick question about your car rental. I've visited Romania several times now but have never rented a car via Sixt there. I believe I've only rented from Enterprise and Hertz at the Bucharest airport if I'm not mistaken. Each time, I was forced to purchase their insurance, which was ridiculously priced. My credit card offers rental car insurance but the rental companies have refused to rent me a car without purchasing their insurance. Was that the case for you guys renting through Sixt?
Hey, sorry about that experience. We have been in the same situation and our cards offer the insurance as well. We firmly deny any additional insurance and that’s it. We haven’t been forced to pay but we have heard the horror stories and we go in prepared to say no. Good luck in the future!

Fyi this is NOT Vlad the Impaler's castle they like to advertise it as if it was but it is NOT Vlad the Impaler castle he never lived there. Please do not visit this place for vlad because you will be extremely disappointed. But you can go to his home town of Sighișoara, very pretty and he actually was there.

They never asked us for proof but it you could always print a copy of your credit card agreement and have it with you and ready just in case!

Fyi this is NOT Vlad the Impaler's castle they like to advertise it as if it was but it is NOT Vlad the Impaler castle he never lived there. Please do not visit this place for vlad because you will be extremely disappointed. But you can go to his home town of Sighișoara, very pretty and he actually was there.
