The first writing in the world from Târtâria 2000 years before Sumer! What about Sumer left Simeria city in Transylvania / Romania !! A hidden history that is not taught in schools!
Hi! I'm really happy that you guys are visiting my country! And yeah , it is very likely that you will find a lot of hungarian food (like Kürtöskalács, gulyás) because Transilvania was once a part of Hungary, and still Romania has a great amount of hungarian population in this area.
Hello from Romania! Transylvania used to be part of Austrian-Hungarian Empire, so that for hundreds of years we were influenced by Hungarian and Austrian kitchen, if you want true Romanian dishes, try "sarmale" , "cozonac" , "mamaliga" , "ciorba" , "tocana", " platou romanesc". In old Tara Romaneasca area it's different than in Transylvania, reffering to traditional food.
I’m not surprised that you experienced some confusion regarding your food names and menus. There is still plenty of Hungarian and German food influence in Transylvania despite it being in the country of Romania. My paternal ancestors (Hungarian Roman Catholics) came from Transylvania and emigrated to Canada prior to WW.1. That region of the world has endured numerous invasions and wars over the centuries. No wonder there are so many castles, fortified churches and towns..!!
Nice to meet you Larry 👊 Thanks for sharing. We messed up our ordering a few times 😂 Thanks for making us feel a bit better about our mistakes ☺️ That’s so cool you’re from that area. Have you ever visited?
@@SammyandTommy Two of my cousins have but sadly I haven’t. They were fortunate in that they grew up with our Hungarian speaking grandparents living next door while I lived halfway across Canada and rarely saw them.
@@SammyandTommy Unfortunately my current health (I’m retired) prevents me from international travel anymore. I have traveled to Israel, Brazil, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia over the years for work tho, so I have been a few places in my life. I would tack on a few days extra to experience more in each country. That’s why I appreciate travel vlog channels such as yours. I get to see new places through your eyes, and you do a very good job too! Thnx for sharing your travels with us!!
@@larrybothe8246 That's great you were able to travel to so many countries for work! That's our dream haha. Appreciate the wonderful compliment Larry 👊 If you could go back to one of those countries which one would you choose?
@@SammyandTommy Yep, best of both worlds is what would describe it best, Transylvania for that matter as a whole too. There's this distinguishable mix of Romanian, Austro-Hungarian and German elements that work so well together. That's why I find it pretty hard to be upset over all the bad blood between us Romanians and the Hungarian minorities around here. I think there were some good things that came out of the whole centuries old Hungarian and German rule/cohabitation for this region. Might as well enjoy the positives instead of crying over spilled milk.
Goulash is Hungarian, but it was just registered as Hungarian. I mean if it is made like in Hungary, it is probably Hungarian. Otherwise Romania has "TOCANA" or "TOCANITA", it is actually the same thing but with different flavour. Not so spicy...
@@DarkSignal59 Goulash is not just Hungarian, like langosh is not just Hungarian. We also have our goulash called tocana/tocanita. And I saw langosh in other countries as well, mostly from Asia but not only.
@@alinpetrus356 I mean yeah, but tocana is kind of a different thing. Goulash has the extra spice and those rice balls. Also I don't think we make tocana with beef. I sure don't. They're both stews but slightly different. And yeah, you can find similar things in different parts of the world. It's not hard for some people to think about combining ingredients in a certain exact way in different places.
@@SammyandTommy you miss it because it is located in Moldova region of Romania. Many people make confusion between this region of my country and the Republic of Moldova. But the main reason you miss it an Iasi city, too, is that almost all marketing materials about Romania focuses only on Transylvania and Bucharest. Iasi is a nice city, and it is located in NE of Romania. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Culture_(Ia%C8%99i) (also Craiova in Muntenia is beautiful). Romania was formed by unification of Moldova and Muntenia, and then was included Transylvania. See you in Iasi next time! There are a lot of flights from various EU capitals and Bacau and Iasi.
@@SammyandTommy this video is about Romania and the majority in this comment section is Romanian, but yet I didn't see you writing or trying to write in Romanian for your Romanian subscribers, but you do it in turkish!🤮🤮🤮 This is an absolute insult for us! Go to Turkey and see the islamic minarets, then! And maybe you'll go back to your country, as muslims too! 🤢
Romania has the largest Wild Life in Europe (animals and plants - some are unique species on Earth) and Danube Delta is an UNESCO Biosphere! We feel sorry for Spain, UK, France - because they had to cut down their Forest for making Wood Ships to take over America, Africa, Asia. Also Finland, Sweden, Poland, Germany have more Forest than Romania, but they don't have the Rich Wild Life as Romania.
Romania has such great wildlife and diversity! We wish we could have made it to the Delta , we keep hearing that is a place we missed out on. Thanks for all the info!

Trasnilvania was in war with Hungaria for years and some locals are still living there, although they are not romanians. They enjoy making a statement by serving their traditional food and some times even don't wanna speak in romanian language, they are disrespectful and i don't understand them at all. If they are so proud of their blood, why they don't simply go back to their country, which is HUNGARIA!

You guys make me wanna visit the Romania you saw. unfortunately I'm romanian and i know the sad reality😟
Nice and superb
Thank you 🤗🙏
Hello from Romania!
Thanks for the recommendations , we will definitely add those to the list! 🤗
♥️💛💙 BRAȘOV ♥️💛💙
@@larrybothe8246 Sorry to hear that Larry! Do you plan on making a trip in the future?
I thought everyone knows that goulash is Hungarian. Well, I would know because my mom is Hungarian and my dad is Romanian
Apparently not us 😂 I bet you get the best of both worlds then 🇷🇴🇭🇺 Thanks for watching Nick 👊
Very nice videos 👏❤️🤗🙏
Appreciate you 🥰 Thanks for watching!
You should visit Iasi city and Miclauseni castle, in Moldova region of Romania.
That castle looks amazing 😍 how did we miss that 😫 Thanks for the tip Bogdan! We will have to add to to our next road trip!
There are a lot of flights from various EU capitals and Bacau and Iasi.
turistii se duc toti in transilvania, altceva nu stiu
Omgggg Râșnov ❤❤🇷🇴
A great destination, not to be missed! 💖
merhaba harika güzel yerler sağlıklı günler 👍
teşekkür ederim 💜☺
@@SammyandTommy this video is about Romania and the majority in this comment section is Romanian, but yet I didn't see you writing or trying to write in Romanian for your Romanian subscribers, but you do it in turkish!🤮🤮🤮 This is an absolute insult for us! Go to Turkey and see the islamic minarets, then! And maybe you'll go back to your country, as muslims too! 🤢
From Brașov with love ! Many thanks for this beautiful video !
Ah lucky you to live in such a beautiful area! Thank you for watching Felicia 🤗
Well, at the rate they're cutting down the forests , we're gonna be like them pretty soon .
So glad you enjoyed 🇷🇴 Romania and I love your videos. Very professional, you know what you are doing. I have one question: how did you manage to fly the drone everywhere? By their laws you are allowed to fly only outside cities. Am I missing something? What drone do you have? Next timw do not miss Vama Veche on the Romanian Black Sea coast!!!
Glad you enjoyed my country.Btw Sammy how to do you manage to keep fit after tasting all this Romanian dishes ? (... dracula`s grand-grandson )
We had an amazing time in Romania! I have no idea how Sammy stays fit. It can only be lucky genetics and a very high metabolism. So jealous 😤 Thanks for watching!
BRASOV NR1 🇹🇩 🏆😃
Great video, beautiful country. What phone service did you use while in Romania.
Guys, there is a big hungarian ethnic group living in that area and in Romania! this is why hungarian dishes are popular even if is Romania!
Our cultures compliment each other and I find it amazing. Only if the people would be as open hearted and would leave the old conflicts on the side..
Hey 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🤩
(Challenge) Translate this in english from romanian : Mă bucur că străinii mai vizitează și țara noastră ! Și ma-am bucurat că ați vizitat sanctuarul de urși că și eu am fost acolo 🤗 Îmi place ce faceți și meritați mai mulți subscriberi! 😁
