Fantastic review, was looking into getting this for my Ronin S and wanted to find a nice, straightforward video showcasing the capabilities and you delivered! Appreciate it, going to put in my order now, thanks again!
This video was enough to convince me to purchase! Solid review 👌 especially good to know that you can mount a monitor to the top of it as I was worried that the handle was going to get in the way of my Ronin Polar Pro mount, but this solves that.
@@JarrodPeck Same! I decided to get it after watching this. This was really helpful especially to know it's possible to add a microphone and a monitor! :) Thank you so much Jarrod!
Good review! I was unsure if it was worth it first. But after watching your video I went for it. Just received mine today and the DJI Dual handle is fantastic and the build quality feels extremely good. The price is bit high but it is worth it if you can afford it!
Thanks for the great review. I just bought one a couple of days ago and am expecting it any day. I see that you're using your Ronin S with a Canon EOS R, as am I, and it looks like you're using an EF 24-70L lens. How do you like the Ronin S with the EOS R? I have mine set up with the RF mount 24-105 that came with the camera, but am thinking of using my EF 24-70 f.28L with the adapter for lower light conditions.
Thank you! I have the EOS R set up with the 24-105. I don't have the 24-70 but I am definitely looking into getting one for the camera. Would love to have that extra low light capabilities, especially with the adapter! So let me know if you like that setup, the EOS R with the 24-70!
@@JarrodPeck I was going to put my EF 24-74 f/2.8L on the camera for this, but with the adapter it is really long. I may try it with my 5DM IV on the Ronin S, but I'm more interested in using the Ronin S with my EOS R, so I just bought a Canon EF 20mm f/2.8 lens. I figure that 20mm will be perfect for what I intend to use the camera for (Real Estate video) because of the aperture and wide focal length. I should have it by Monday and am looking forward to it. I'll let you know how it works. I also bought the lens mount for the Ronin, so the 24-70 might still be an option.
Great video mate. After using this grip for over 9 months now what are your thoughts on it? Still loving it? Any issues? How it handles long ours shoot, ie 8-10 hours? Do you have problems with the grip sliding up and locking the motors? Cheers
Have you had issues with it sliding up and interfering with the motors? It's infuriating - all they needed to do was add a little metal lip before the motor so it'd be a perfect fit. Any tips for that?
I bought one 2 days ago. The following day I used it and I realised that rubber pad attaching the gimbal was melting. Whats the best solution to fix it?
Does anyone know if you can lock the motors so that when I twist the handle to the left or right, the camera doesn’t lag behind and they move together at the same time?
Hi! I'm using a Canon EOS R. I attach the Multi-camera control cable that comes with the Standard Ronin S kit and connect it to the EOS R and use the focus wheel that also comes with the standard kit. I am then able to focus with any lens that supports auto focus. Hope this helps!
They are NOT good. The ring slips over time and they are also very heavy compared to other options. The grips where you grip also slip and rotate, making holding the grip UNSTABLE. Only benefit is NATO rails and the positioning. This is not a proper review that demonstrates the use over time. I have used extensively and found these fail after 12 hours of use due to DESIGN failures.
Dang really? Maybe can get different grip or like cushion tape? Have you seen the smallrig dual nato handles people doing? I was thinking of doing that but the mechanism that scares it on blocks part of the gimbals movemenrt...hmmmm

Great video!! I've been debating whether to get a Switch Grip and after watching this video I think I have decided I definitely need one!
Great to hear! I'm glad you liked it

What’s the name of the little arm you added your monitor too?
Btw, amazing video 🎬
This is awesome! finally sold! i was in between the Zhiyun Crane, Weebill, Mazo, but this set up is great! the switch grip - game changer!

Awesome review! Been wanting to purchase this for my Ronin-S. I like the idea of the NATO system and how quick it is to adjust. I’m gonna buy it soon
Thanks so much. Really appreciate it! It definitely is a well designed product with how quick it is to adjust!
Nice video, dose it help with the stability, Im torn between buying this or making a hoop

Hi 🙂
Thx for vid !
Can you confirm that the adapter facing you, is an "ari connection" with locator pin holes?
Thx!

Really good video dude, just what i needed thanks.
Is this compatible with the SC too ?

Can I use only one handle
what did you use to fix the monitor to the witch grip?
Does anyone know if you can lock the motors so that when I twist the handle to the left or right, the camera doesn’t lag behind and they move together at the same time?
does this grip works for the ronin sc?
Did you get a response to this question?
Is it possible to put the grip with the handle up in the back?
This was so helpful. Thanks mate
Hi, could be adapted to the DJI OM 4 ?
Brother, tem o link para a compra desse produto?
Work in ronin s2?
I can't slide anything into the cold shoe mounts on the grip arms. It's too tight. Any advice?
Just like when doing anal, use lube.
Thank you for the help.
Great review
thanks for sharing!
What canon camera is that, where you are able to use the focus?

Yes!
Great review! You have sold it to me
