XG is Xpop my friend. They came from Japan. Train in Japan/S.Korea. Promote most in S.Korea and based in South Korea. But they sing in english. ( except for their VOX which is vocal performance and TAPE for the Rap part ) you can find this on their official channel ^^ ! Glad that you enjoy their work ! Those girls are aces 🐺🔥

XG is delivering what I've asked of girl groups years ago. I've longed for a artist like 'BoA - Eat you up' MV and finally it happened... I got 7. Girl groups are conditioned to fit a set stereotype. Enjoy their music.

Hesonoo and X-Gene are the two short intro tracks from their first mini album New DNA. As intro, they set the stage for the theme of the album. Basically, XG are not from this world but aliens from outer space. You'll see a lot of space/scifi elements in their videos. Hesonoo has their spaceship arrive in orbit and they wake up from hibernation; the second part establishes that they are not human because they have the X-Gene. So, you weren't far off when you compared this line with the X-Men and Marvel.
Keep it coming with XG, you won't be disappointed.
The best place to start in Kpop (imo) is Mamamoo 😊 These girls broke many kpop stereotypes and the first kpop group to do many things as well 😊

So you probably know that XG is not Kpop. XG is a Japanese group and they are Xpop. Kpop would be Korean pop by Korean groups that sing mostly in Korean. Check out BlackPink (kpop girl group) and BTS (Kpop boy group) if you want to dip into Kpop culture. They are two of the biggest groups in Kpop, although inactive these days.
